Give shards for playing rare killers.
Give shards for playing low pick rate (weaker) killers. Not BP. No one wants more BP. This will make killers actually play someone other than the big 5. Even if you play someone bad, and 4 escape you go in knowing you get shards, AND the survivor experience is better because they can stop playing brights and nurses all day.

Just make map resources spawn based on which killer it is.
Stronger killer = More resources.
Weaker killer = Less resources.

I love to see the face when blight users have to chew through 100 pallets.

I wouldn't be against this idea. With the old tomes you saw a sharp increase of specific killers because there was a challange for them. I imagine shards or bigger BP incentives would have a positive effect.
It would also have the benefit of providing data on the least played killers, rather than going purely off of kill rate. It might also encourage people to try killers they don't initially really play. I think the feedback is more valuable than anything if players are encouraged to play killers that just don't exist at this point.
