Where did this idea that "blight is so easy" come from?

Been seeing this around lately, both in game and on various social media sites.

I would say out of 10 blights I face, I escape maybe like 8/10 of them. Majority of blights are bad/average, and I have tried him myself and you have to be super quick with bumping to the next spot correctly (while at a loop with a survivor) or else you become a m1 killer for 10 seconds.

It is not possible to be bad at something that is "easy" by the way. You have to pick a side, either he is easy and anyone can play him well, or he requires alot of practice and is difficult.

Because the power of a killer seems to be judged by how the top level people play him.

People say blight is S tier and he is but I would say that most people do not play him at that level, the most the average blight player would be is at A tier as you need a lot of time to play him at his full potential as an S tier.

Like how many blights do you think can actually understand bump logic on the fly?

IMO this is a fact, that the Skill Ceiling of Blight is higher than on Nurse. Nurse is not that difficult after you finished her learning curve, but once you did that with Blight, there is still A LOT you have to learn to become a very good Blight.

you can just not use his power except for mobility and that still places blight entire tiers above Trapper because mobility is king and trumps everything.

    he needs a real weakness

If you use his power for mobility and then just m1 all the survivors for a 4k, does it really matter what killer you played at that point?

not really, but there's zero reason to be playing the majority of the roster, including my main boy cenobite. at the end of the day, that mobility lets you apply m1s and gen kicks faster

His power as mobility alone is one of best map traversal + catch up to survvior powers alone and he can get pallet break or hit from it so its not that weak plus its way esier to use than billy on average or than bubbas saw on loops (one bump and you loose all the distance, preasure and potencial of quic down or breaking pallet and all charges).

no idea what ur trying to say here, i could answer that being new survivor aint easy either, in matter of fact, blight is S tier killer, and S tier means Broken tier, year a new blight player will struggle against a strong team, but he wont struggle against survivors of similar skill level, i have over 1000 blight matches, i can tell u this killer is really unhealthy, the fact that u need a top tier SWFS to beat decent blights is insane.

It’s mostly from people who have never actually tried playing as Blight and maybe don’t even play killer at all. They just assume based on some selected YouTube videos that Blight is super easy to play as, even though they themselves have never tried.

In general, Blight is easy to play as and win with.

Blight is awful with controller but very easy with a mouse. i have tried both and can honestly say blight with a mouse takes very little skill. Blight and Nurse are both S tier, who do we see more of? Blight. Why? extremely strong and easy to use.

Listen I hear what you're saying and im not disproving it, but why are so many blights bad then? Most of my games usually 3-4 out the blights I see, very rarely ill run into a dedicated p100 blight main that rocks my ######### at 5 gens.

If blight is that easy, then you can't be bad at something "easy" right?

my guess? MMR…. im often getting blight after blight after blight, and not new players either, they are p100 blights that slug and tunnel.

Yes you can be bad at something that is easy….ghoul is easy but some people still perform poorly. Even skill checks are easy… its amazing how many people mess them up. Even friendly killers that let people escape can find the match easy but intentionally dont give it their all. Also blights usually stomp solo players but its not as easy to win v experienced SWF teams, so the fact blight is easy to use and easy to dominate v solo players it doesnt mean its easy v SWF.
