Rewind the clock to 4 months ago when DC's were rare and I looked forward to getting off of work for an evening of good multiplayer experiences with lots of epic moments, teamwork, friends, and challenges. Now however, I can't help but feel like its dying due to excessive DC's, and no one's doing anything to prevent it. The Devs haven't even responded with an acknowledgement of the problem, much less a plan to deal with it (not that I've seen anyway). I love this game, but out of all the ways it could die, this is by far the worst, and the frustration of this realization is exhausting. I'll hang in there for as long as I can, and even try to get used to this as the new "norm", but this isn't my only multiplayer game, just my favorite, and if the devs don't do a live stream soon with a plan to get this DC epidemic under control... I don't know how much more patience I have left to give. This is heartbreaking for me, and is leaving me weary and depressed to see the game I adore withering away like a loved one afflicted with terminal cancer. Is anyone else feeling this way?

I'm not giving up yet. I've gone through the Shock, Denial, and Anger stages long enough, now I'm at the Bargaining and Depression part and I Hate this feeling. I want to hold on to hope that better days are ahead, and my faith in the devs will be rewarded, however, It's getting more difficult to do so every day. Please Dev's, don't forsake us, and give us a response with a plan for stopping this disease in your next live stream.

TL;DR - Dev's, Please give us a response with a plan to get the DC epidemic under control in a live stream soon, or (as much as it pains me) I'm out until you do... and I wonder how many more people are feeling this way?

(Comment before thread edit) and me and OP both were in agreement that the original thread wasn’t constructive. Also we both apologized for our overactions. :)

Probably won't happen until Summer when servers are out.

@Peanits Keeps saying when servers are here they'll have more options and can possibly improve the system.

I was hoping for something sooner than summer, but if I have to, I can hold out until then.

I'm not leaving, just sorely tempted to until/unless the DC epidemic is under control. You could've just read the TL;DR, that's why it's there. Are you fine with the DC epidemic? is it not frustrating, or "killing" the game for you? Don't you want a response from the devs about how they plan to get it under control?

This wasn't about getting attention for leaving, this was about pleading for a response from the devs, and asking if anyone else wants the same.

Edit: Thanks for pointing out your distaste for the original first line of the post, getting rid of that changed the focus of it for the better.

To be fair, When @TheRealDweard read this post it started with the line "I'm actually considering dropping this game at this point." which was admittedly a whiny and tactless first sentence that screws over the overall message of the post, so he refused to read anything past that, and I agree that it was a bad way to start it. I deleted that line after his comment to keep the post focused on the issue, However he could have just read the TL;DR which summed it all up.

Thanks for your support, and I hope we get something better than broken promises, or plans to fix this issue when dedicated servers go live later in the summer, but I'm not expecting it. Sigh... this issue needs quicker action than "somewhere in the next 3 months" or I fear there won't be enough players around for it to make a difference.

@TWiXT, No, I read the post when you had that first sentence in there. It wasn't whiny. Whiny would have been "I'm leaving" or something. Stating that you are considering leaving the game at this point, for anyone with reading comprehension, indicated that reasons would follow. One should have read the reasons before forming an opinion on the nature of the post.

The other poster has been going around bitching and moaning about posts. To be honest, ignore him. I guess it makes him feel special, edgy, white-knight, or whatever. He isn't worth considering any longer.

Actually there are not many posts where I have acted in this way. Even in this post I just simply stated that this seemed like another post craving attention based off of the first sentence. Even said good bye and good luck to the person.

@TheRealDweard, I just went and double-checked. You are right, and I apologize. I should have vetted my reaction first, but that one caught me at a particularly bad time.

    So, again: I'm sorry.

I said before the post was edited it seemed like the topic was just about quitting based on the first few sentences. Thus I wouldn’t waste my time reading the thread. In fact if anything my “edgy comment” made this thread stronger because the OP decided to revise the first sentences in order to make the thread more appealing. Finally, the comment was not even toxic as I wished the OP good luck and said goodbye.

The devs won't do a live stream because they have 'nothing important to talk about' and it'll be a 'waste of everyone's time'. Honestly, if they don't do a live stream soon, I'm going to leave too. ######### this bullshit.

Its alright my comment might of seemed harsh as well because I am just tired of all the quitting threads. That is why when I read the first sentences of this thread it just felt like it was going to be just another one of those threads.

Yeah but why would anyone read a post if it started around the lines of “I am thinking of quitting” especially when there are so many posts along these lines. Anyhow it seems that the OP is in agreement with me now as the post has been edited. I’ll give it a read now.

DCs are a big problem and seem to be increasing. In fact I was playing survivor yesterday and out of the maybe six games, three of them had people who dced. I feel like the developers definitely have to address this problem because the people dcing are not leaving for actual good reasons. Most of time survivors in my game dc when they go down quickly. Overall it just screws the team over and is not a very fun experience.

Ive played six matches today, Three were 3 man games from the start, 1 was a 2 man game from the start,

One was a hillbilly with the same boring build that everyone uses.. he didn't move more than 10 feet from the hook, He 1 hooked 3 people and i got hatch..

The other was a wraith that didn't move more than 10 feet from the hook and just kept downing the same person.. So freaking boring.

The game is in a ######### state at the moment. There are a massive amount of bugs and problems.

The devs have their work cut out for them and they need to make some big improvements before they start banning players imo

@Bbbrian2013 I'm afraid not everyone is going to wait until dedicated servers are out.

With the current system, the devs already have the numbers. They know which players are dc'ing how often. I really, really hope the devs act soon and don't wait some more months.

The thing is, not every player who leaves for a break will return. :(
