Roll back the Steve's voicelines entirely, we dont need your pity 10%

New voice actor doesn't match the character entirely, let alone his "Steagull" scream, that was literally the only reason I bought Stranger Things Ep. 1. Make his scream back, or, better yet, return the old voicelines back to the game.

It was pretty annoying. I don’t want it back. This is a fair medium.

I consider it a lot more of a bait and switch when killers come out of the gate too strong and get entirely reworked after release than an annoying meme getting changed after years. Its a live service game.

yes!! make it at least 85% chance of the iconic steagull scream, 99.8% of steve players only play steve for the steagull scream, if anyone find it annoying, im sorry for its our entity given right to be whimsy

So you being annoyed at not being able to be as annoying is more important than the people being annoyed by what you liked doing to be annoying? I'm not sure I follow.

All of it is pointless when discussing licensed content, because that is up to the license holders and their agreements with BHVR. For all we know someone important at netflix hated the meme and thought it was a bad representation of their IP and wanted it changed, while using a rights negotiation as the time and opportunity to do it. Crossover content is always about advertising as much if not more than it is giving the audience what they want, games like Marvel Vs Capcom 3 were basically just an advertising slate for the MCU to Marvel instead of bringing back beloved legacy characters. Its pretty much always just business.

If you can't read a few sentences on the subject why would you expect your demands to be met?

Not some % foolery like now, just reverse the changes, not more, not less.

Youre just making statements about subjects you dont know, BHVR didnt say anything about reasons of changing it, not even listed it in the official changelogs as far as I know. It was the biggest selling point of the character for many people including me. Listen to Joe Keery in the ST series or in his songs, he has voice like it was before the update irl. As for that it annoyed somebody: some people just cant be pleased. It wasnt game breaking or bugged, it just had its own charm. And again it was the reason why I bought the character in the first place.

That is literally my point, NONE of us do. Like I said before, it is entirely between BHVR and the license holders, and that was an example of what could be the reasoning as to why it was changed, because they might not want it to be the biggest selling point of the character for many people

Thats not the point. Audio tracking is an important skill for killers, and audio awareness is important for survivors, as well as constantly giving away location of nearby teammates because haha silly scream build being pretty detrimental to their experience.

And again it was the reason why I bought the character in the first place.

I know survivors are just skins beyond their perks they add to the pool, but have a better reason. Thats the same argument as the people doing the skin mismatch meme for cheryl ages ago, and it was no more justified then. Memes are not valid reasons to make purchasing decisions, especially when compared to things like perks or even whole killers functioning entirely different than advertised post release. When buying something in a live service game, you are always agreeing to be subject to changes made after the fact, and the stegull meme had plenty of time to run its course.
