That would just make it harder on survivors. Its best to keep it how it is. When he's preparing it thats your "tell" Hey! I am getting ready to attack you! You should dodge.
Its not OP at all in my opinion.

From math the vine hitbox is like 1,84 meters and it damages in 0,6 seconds after its release so bigger half of a second delay and survivor can cover 4m/s so you have as survivor more reaction time and space than against nemesis or xenomorph.
Vecna has low cooldow but if he is missing a lot than he is loosing distance and he is countering himself while survivor holds w so I dont see him so problematic as these seers do.

OP really! Its designed that way so you know when to move out of the way.
If you made it like that its actually a buff not a nerf.

what are you guys talking about? its even harder to dodge with the current system because he can just hold it forever and you dont know when or where he is gonna release it unlike if you give a sound cue when he puts it its gonna be easier to dodge

It's a double edge sword it's tell survivors your preparing but also that can be used against them for zoning
