Why do survivors have more traps than the trapper?
It makes me sad, he deserves a rework along with the other weaker killers

Gotta love how by default his own power attacks him.

Look at the bright side: Legion can't use the most braindead build of the game (Spirit Fury, his add-on that break pallets on vault and the yellow one that recharges his power when pallet stunned).

Yeah older killers need an update. Trapper is the poster child for the game and i barely see him in game. Moris need an update too

Probs a skill issue on my part but I cannot play Trapper without the add-on that stops this. It's base kit as far as I'm concerned and he just gets one less slot to play with than everyone else.

The worst part is that addon isn't even good enough, it should let you pass through without triggering the trap, but we all know that it shouldn't be an addon to begin with

Adjust the add on so that you can trigger your own traps again (no stun) and doing so provides an aura read, mild haste, or something. Maybe a temporary effect like Springtrap's Blue add on that shows gen progress, so trapper knows where to pressure and wastes less time idly patrolling - then again that might be a crutch for someone like me without enough hours to have the necessary game sense.

He is in sad state, traps are his only thing and he sucks at it.

Common trapper L

If devs didnt push all comands from twitter communicy of DBD into live than he would be worst.

It's really baffling that BHVR is just okay with the mascot of their game being complete trash.

feel like they should give him what he had in the prototype builds of the games with him throwing traps would be really cool.

I was running trapper and having a bit of fun but then I started running into groups that were somehow disarming traps seemingly in seconds even with the blue coil increasing the time to disarm by 50% then cleansing my totem where the trap was placed in mere seconds even though I had the totem that increases time for each other totem on the map. I think he should start the game with all traps base kit and be able to still pick them up I mean that's just common sense especially at this stage of the game. Then traps should have an increase to the time it takes to disarm by 150% base kit to make hex builds actually viable on a character that is able to protect them, better placements of traps around totems would also be greatly appreciated like being able to put two traps in close proximity to totems. I think he should also receive a slightly longer speed buff after placing traps that way he can drop traps and get to a gen in time to start a chase before 3 are 75% done.

Trapper is, and will continue to be, trash. They will remake him, but he'll undergo full rebuild more than likely. Trapper is just built for a kind of play style they are desperately trying to destroy. He has to camp, he regularly slugs, and he may or may not tunnel it's entirely outside his control in most cases. I love him to death, but I can't see BHVR addressing him without a full rebuild.

His short mori is optimal gameplay-wise, though.

I’ve been thinking for a while whether he couldn’t get away with having various types of traps.
Tripwires in pallet spawns that dont actually have a pallet, for example.

Hm not hugely. Really only helps if you're running a mori token. And by the time you have a surv available to mori, chances are it's the move that takes control of the game and losing an extra 3-5 seconds on a cool mori wouldn't make much difference.

I don't think he needs full rework, but some of his addons could just go basekit… Which one depends how broken you want him to be.
The one where he can just walk through his traps and they just get disarmed would be a good start.0 -
Trapper is one of my favorite Killers but he is add-on and map dependent. With 📏 Honing Stone and ⛓️Bloody Coil you are nearly guaranteed to get hooks. Unless you are on a large map like Red Forest. Trapper excels on indoor maps - Midwich and RPD especially.

Bloody Coil should flat out take a health state instead of only affecting uninjured survs.

survivors have their hand held through every aspect of the game especially in swf

it will take about 5-6 years for a rework, if bhvr decides to make one, look at Freddy and Skull Merchant.
Will we still be playing this in 5 years? tossing money at new perks every 3 months, for a game with a cheater problem that have been there for 6+ years, by now i think its clear that bhvr dont care about that.
