Annoying for first time than just predrop simulator not to mention it was only good on few killers that get break like bubba either he breaks with saw or gets stun and breaks with spirits+ endurending or legion with iri button.
Nothing strong only works at first but when you find out he has it (those two perks) its just so easy to counter not to mention swf hust needs to see it once and than its dead, just another thing dead in perk variety replaced by stale gen deffence/slowdown meta nothing else here.

Yes and no, if they start doing that then you can burn through the pallets quicker. So similar to something like say, ruin + thrill of the hunt. You probably get less slowdown from ruin itself then you do from thrill of the hunt making it harder to get ruin. Or pig traps, you aren't using pig traps to get the kill, although sometimes you can. You are using it so you can slow the game down.

Its just that they will finally difference some actions as breaking and vaulting ones with basic or special ability the problem is some perks that applied to special ones wont work with them after this change so some perks that were only valid on some killers due to use of their power as synergy or some addon will be dead which I dont see good especialy if they these combinations werent busted or super problematic just only another nail in the currently big coffin called perk variety, something everyones want to see but things/changes like this only make the spread of stale meta use bigger.

It was valid on few killers that can get break another way and this only was another break so killers like bubba, legion with iri button or new mayers are the ones that can use it very effectively.
For majority even the pure m1 killers like pig,trapper,ghostface its basicaly as you say dead perk slot because its much better to use something else like just endurending,brutal strenght,bamboozle because breaking with spirits is easily countered by predroping and greeding (like some jillers when have it swing theough pallets a lot to get hit or force to use it, running through pallet without locking yourself in animation when killer isnt super close is just great counter for this and predroping is even bigger counter).

Lame and unnecessary. I liked how wide ranging Spirit Fury + Enduring Builds were among killers who could shred pallets, this change ruins Spirit Fury's ability to synergize with most powers and makes it a much more generalist perk for M1 killers who won't notice a difference with this change.
At the very least, my Endo CPU + Fire up or Brutal Strength build on Springtrap should pair well with the two perks still.

yeah, I don't get it. it's a fun spooky surprise the first time, then you go "ok, anyways..." and pre drop the rest of the match. and you know the killer wasted most of their loadout just to force you to pre drop
its just....eh? why are we changing meme builds when there are more actual matters to address in regards to killer balance?

Just a change nobody asked for and only one who wants it are some dedicated survivors thinking it hurts the killers but opposite is truth, just more meta builds with gen deffence that they face already enough awaits them if this goes through ptb into live.
Just hoping devs wont be so oblivious to things they dont even know (because most of them are survivor players) and change these perks to work even with special killers interaction such as breaking and vaulting actions.

This will become dead meme combo, will only work on new players that wont know it or once and when survivors that knew it will see it they will just predrop and hold W against these m1 killers (mostly).
Just perk slot waste, its way more better to run just endurending or just pick brutal strenght or pick something else.

The actual problem is Nurse and Blight having Spirit Fury and everything else would be good and balanced without Nurse and Blight having Spirit Fury.
I know you have issues with Nurse and Blight, (and most likely a few more killers). But coming into a post about Spirit Fury, a perk not utilized by the specific two, is disingenuous. If any killer is affected the most by this change is our resident face camper, Bubba.

My point is that people were not complaining about Spirit Fury.
People are complaining about cheaters, about server issues, about Killers like Ghoul, about Killers like Trapper (for entirely different reasons, tbf) and we get vintage BHVR, changing something nobody was complaining about.

Compared to the primitive age, strategies are now easily available on the Internet, and players who read textbooks are pure and innocent and do not have any doubts, so players who do not change continue to be born. Therefore, unless they are forced to change, it is difficult for change to occur.

You have directed more on topic with your replies, but the initial post was about nerfing Nurse and Blight as if they were the cause of perks like Spirit Fury being nerf needlessly.
Granted you are free to complain about these killers, I just felt the inclusion of them in this discussion was unwarranted.

They are there as a contrast.
People complain about them all the time.
People did not complain about Spirit Fury.

This is just BHVR sanitizing the game so that everything functions the same no matter what killer and I think it's really missing the mark. Unique interactions like this actually give reason to run things that are not just meta. If there's no unique interactions to play with, then it will just be meta.
I fully expect that it's not just Spirit Fury, but every perk that triggers on a pallet break to only trigger on a "basic" action.

If we're willing to believe BHVR's own wording (shocking, I know), Spirit Fury was always MEANT to only work on gaining tokens by breaking pallets through the standard action but due the way it was coded, that not only wasn't the case, they probably never bothered to properly patch it.
But now that they did make the new code for breaking pallets, the perk code is reading the 'break pallets' code line as the standard action only by the default, hence, why they say its -unchanged- from base even though the perk's actual effect is now different.
And given BHVR doesn't play killer, let alone play a niche perk like Spirit Fury, they probably didn't even know of this interaction to begin with. That's a very generous narrative I'm willing to give, if in the PTB, another perk like Thwack is also affected by this, then this is probably the case.-2 -

No, actually, that sounds right. Probably did start out as a bug, but they've finally managed to code pallet breaks separately.
Wonder if that has something to do with an upcoming Killer.

It was a long time coming. From the Unbound nerf to the crazy hits Wraith could do with his brown addon + Turn Back the Clock, they probably noticed more issues like that could arise had they not separated standard actions to power related actions.
Now, that's fine and all, had this just not limit the range certain perks have with other killers, which could mean perks like Bamboozle, Thawck and now Spirit Fury could just not trigger at all if killers use their power in place of doing standard actions. It really just feels like they added this new system to make perks even more limit and with less synergies making another overall killer nerf.1 -
I'd very happily revert this change so long as Iri Button doesn't give SF stacks. If the Devs changed the description to specify that vaulting a pallet caused the entity to break the pallet, it would then be in line with Dissolution which doesn't grant SF stacks.
