New Survivor Perks
Post your feedback for 9.5.0's new Survivor perks here. Thank you!
Flow State
Whenever a generator is completed, earn 1 token, up to 5.
- For each token:
- You bless and cleanse Totems 8/9/10% faster.
- You heal 8/9/10% faster.
- You unhook Survivors 8/9/10% faster.
A Place For Us
- While healing another Survivor, you both gain Elusive.
- Whenever you finish healing The Obsession, they gain Elusive for 20/25/30s.
- When the trial starts, you are less likely to be the Obsession.
Five Moves Ahead
- While you are in the Killer's Terror radius or chased by the Killer:
- You see the Auras of the 5 closest Pallets and Windows.
- You drop Pallets 50% faster.
- Whenever you drop a Pallet, cooldown: 30/25/20s.

Im interested to see what dropping a pallet faster looks like but these perks seem pretty useless overall.

Only perk that seems worth using is "Five Moves Ahead" its wild that nowadays whenever new killer/survivor perks get released almost nobody uses them because they're just useless meanwhile perks that do get used by either side get butchered without second thought... Would be nice to have perks that boost our progression in someway you know like bonus bloodpoint perks or is the excuse for them still being gone today supposedly because "progression is quicker now than before the progression overhaul" which is complete and utter bull crap now
-3 -
If the flow state gives you a bonus to overall healing speed (not only for others) then it might be actually quite good for self healing
-1 -
Most likely insta drop since the drop animation itself is really short
-2 -
bring back old spine chill as a perk man
-1 -
Hopefully it's overall healing speed would love to pair that with botany and self care. It would make a nice personal healing build but other than that everything else I said I stand on.. Progression most of all is crap nowadays need something other than match incentives to get some sort of boost towards that
-1 -
Desperate measures + flow state might actually be good too with faster unhooking
-2 -
Not sure why people are commenting that these perks don't look good, I can see some good use cases for all of these.
Can't get on and test them myself, but I'd definitely find a place for these in some builds once the chapter drops fully. Especially the first one, that's a really nice synergy perk as far as I can see.

Five Moves ahead should not go live. Why are we powercreeping the most used perk in the game?
-12 -
Ikr or at least buff premonition, that perk should not have a 30 second cooldown.
3 -
Boring, unoriginal perks imo. Also, so similar to windows perk, and the elusive healing one power creep over bite the bullet, only reason to use that perk is when healing yourself now, give more already made perks elusive please! Killers have plenty of undetectable perks etc so why shouldn’t we.
-2 -
I think the Fives Moves Ahead is just powercreeped Windows of Opportunity. It's not overpowerd, it's quite nice perk but it seems like perk we allready have in the game but with more stuff. A Place for Us is kinda meh, not very great or interesting perk imo. Flow State is below average passive perk that helps a bit towards the end of the game. This one is fine.
-2 -
So far the perks seems not good they could use some buffs
Buff flow state to 20%
Buff a place for us to 60 seconds
Five moves ahead is okay as is

As of late, Flow State could actually be pretty useful. Totem builds have been quite common since Vecna
-2 -
This feels like a fix to latency issues. "You dont like getting hit through Pallets? Use this Perk!"…
Eh, if I want to counter Totem Builds I would use Counterforce. Which would also make playing against Pentimento better (some people use 3 Hexes + Pentimento, others use 4 Hexes). The issue with Flow State is that it only really helps if you are already doing Gens and this is what the Totem Build makes harder to do once Hive Mind is activated.

A Place For Us:It should give elusive to everyone, not just the obsession, maybe 1 minute for the obsession and 30 seconds if you're not the obsession. Even then, it would be a "niche" perk, but at least it would be more consistent and "solid." For example, if someone who isn't the Obsession is tunneled, why shouldn't they at least use my altruistic perk?🤣4 -
A Place for us shouldn‘t be a new perk. There is a perk from Leon that does the exact same thing, but is ten times worse. Why would you release a perk only for it to make another perk obsolete? You should rather buff Leon’s perk instead of introducing a perk with the same effect!
2 -
is bite the bullet going to be reworked? i feel like this new a place for us perk does the same exact thing, but better…..
1 -
Flow state should be based on how many survivors have been hooked, not when generators are completed. That would be like Fire Up being based on how many times you hook a survivor vs gens being done.
Survivors shouldn't get more powerful when their end goal is getting met - same for killer.4 -
So devs still try to band-aid fix their bad coding. Now its the pallet throws. Just fix your code and dont band-aid everything. Thanks.

these look aight. my Mikaela booner friend will like flowers state! I may try to use the heal perk in a Lisa Garland build

I like Five moves ahead, seems like it really affects something when you play with it so its a really nice perk.
Flow State seems underwhelming even though 50% max bonus sounds nice, you will mosty likely be getting 10-30% of bonus most of your matches so realistically its just worse botany/desperate/counterforce. I think it should be buffed in some way.
A Place For Us is a nice idea but will be one of the most unused perks in the game. Even though I understand that the point of this perk is to heal stealthily with another survivor, this perk may also affect the survivor who equipped it even if he is self-healing to make it more justified to use. Also the second part of the perk that gives obsession an elusive sounds nice on paper but would be difficult to pull off and way too situative, especially in soloQ. I believe that making it work this way will be much better:- Whenever you finish healing another survivor, you both gain
Elusivefor20/25/30s.
This way the perk will be consistent at least without binding it exclusively to work with and on obsession but on any survivor. This wouldn't bee "too op" since all this perk does is stealth, nothing more, so this buff is fair, in my head at least.
Actually this perk is what Leon's perk should've been, so either this or Leon's perk Bite the Bullet should be changed to not be too simillar (even though the new one seems a little more useful)5 - Whenever you finish healing another survivor, you both gain
-
Im interested to see these in the game.

Why would i use flow-state
When desprate messures and no one left behind gives more healing speed and unhook speed.
When do no harm/botany knowledge/we'll make it/no one left behind gives more healing speeds
So that leaves the faster clensing/booning.
Which honestly should be the main focus of this perk, we barely have any perks that mainly clense/bless totems faster besides the rare few that barely do anything.
Like counterforce only doing 25% per totem broken and revealing the totem furthest away.
And the only faster blessing totem i can think of is illumination...which only works when booned and only gives 10%.

A place for us
I guess a wierd alternative to bite the bullet?.
The only real case i would see is for nurses calling or situationally bbq n chilli, maybe darkness revealed.
But this only works for healing....so this wouldnt really have much use case, because most smart survivors hide and take cover to heal while not trying to be found.
I guess if this perk would give elusive to other survivors no matter what, this would be decentish?.
Overall, i dont see the synergy or potentional.

Five moves ahead
Another alternatives to WoO?
I can already see people preaching that 50% will do alot (even though the animation itself is near instant anyway?)
But in actuality you will still get hit through the pallet against high pings
The cooldown and limitation isnt helping.
But this perk will probably be nerfed and be dead on arrival due to everyone thinking this will be powercreeping windows.
I hope not, but i have higher hopes over the other perks being useful than this.
For people who think 0.045s saved actually does something (resilence vault) this might be for you.
For anyone else, probably not.

On the Self-Preservation rework:
I actually really enjoy Self-Preservation as it is on Live Servers. I use it with Light-Footed to run up for Flashlight Saves without the Killer noticing my approach after a down. I would be very remiss to see it go.
Additionally, I don't feel that the reworked version would be useful at all. It does not seem any better and even nicher to use.

The new perks' icons' design is not good at all, it doesn't fit the art style of all the other Dbd perks. They should really be changed, because it creates cognitive dissonance.

Flow State is like a Fire Up but for Survivors and once again it speeds up other tasks the survivor can do so they can get back to repairing gens sooner and complete them faster. It's not that gens are popping too fast, it's other tasks being done too quickly that leads to getting back to gens sooner. And this is just a boost to any healing, not just altruistic. I think it just provides too many benefits in a single perk. Ignoring the pick rate of some perks, one could just equip this one perk and have the benefits of a Botany Knowledge with No One Left Behind and Better than New.
A Place For Us is just a better Bite the Bullet. Elusive for BOTH Survivors provides immunity to aura reading/killer instinct, grunts of pain/blood pool/scratch mark suppression. Only thing it doesn't do that Bite the Bullet has is muting the healing sound effect which is quieter than a Survivors grunts of pain.
Five Moves Ahead at first I thought the 50% faster pallet drop would be the animation speed. Hundreds of thousands of players have experienced the instance of dropping a pallet that stunned the killer but STILL taking damage from the swing, which happens because of the server latency and players connection to it and thought this would cause Survivors to run away from that instance unscathed. BUT I've seen on twitter that it actually speeds up the recovery animation from dropping the pallet which is the difference of a few frames which is unrecognizable by the human eye. I don't think this would be an issue but this perk is a temporary Windows of Opportunity with its faster pallet drop recovery.
It feels like newer perks just cram in 2-3 older perks in them and make the older ones obsolete. "This one new perk slices and dices tomatoes, chop onions, crush garlic cloves, fillet fish, carves turkey. And it's lemon scented"

Perks:
Flow StateThis is basically fire up for survivors that is weak version of existing perks but multiserving. In the end you get 3 perks about same value as they are base standing alone. Botany is just better pick, desperate measures or empatic connection is better pick, do no harm is better pick. I don't see this perk being very popular out of some fast unhook builds.
Option: raising the value from 10 % to 20 %
A Place For UsBetter Bite The Bullet on altruistic healing, nothing on self healing. As aura perks are very unpopular, especially nurses calling, I can't see this perk being anything meta or having higher pick.
Option: Elusive lingers for 8s after finishing heal or works when being healed too.
Five Moves AheadThe 50 % faster drop makes no difference, from first i thought this is better windows of opportunity, but in the end windows give you info all the time and the 50 % faster drop did nothing against most of the killers i played against.
Option: 100 % faster pallet drop with 40s cooldown.
Overall quite weak and uninteresting perks that will be used as much as invocation: treacherous crows

I like flow state and can see myself using it like a survivor version of fire up, but could probably use an extra 3-5% per token.
A place for us is kinda giving the same vibes as cheryls obsession perk in that its hard to get value out of when it only effects 1 person. The elusive could be applied to anyone you heal and maybe can add the hiding of unhook loud noise notifications. - would make it viable as an anti tunnel/camp perk and get more use of the new elusive effect.
Five moves ahead may be a nerfed version of windows of opportunity, as i don't see an advantage in a pallet dropping animation being faster unlike vaulting faster. Maybe it could show the killer's aura whenever they vault. Could become part of aura builds
-1 -
50% faster pallet drops are pretty strong, a lot stronger than many players think for dropping pallets against say Huntress, Nemesis, etc when rounding a corner and just barely not getting hit by dodging the attack that comes after, and a bunch of other small interactions.
I don't think it should be knee-jerk nerfed before release even though it seems strong, but definitely pay attention to this perk when it releases and gather feedback from a wide variety of players, then nerf it to a reasonable level if it turns out to be too strong. Also worth noting for anyone that doesn't know is that the aura reading on windows and pallets doesn't go away when the perk is on cooldown, which is fair imo, but still cements the perk as almost a direct upgrade to WoO.

Apparantley they Five Moves Ahead pallet drop speed isn't different at all in terms of gaining distance/animation. It's just having the option to vault faster:
Someone did some testing on it on the reddit2 -
hey, could you guys boost thoses numbers up on pallet-drop speed. The best aspect of Five Moves Ahead is barely noticeable. Maybe +150% seals the deal?
About everything else: this chapter is everything to me, I hope one day The Doctor gets the same love (killer update + addon pass + lore expansion). A real job well done with original characters!

[Flow State] is a stacking snowball effect, but it's not that bad. I know some will get upset about the healing speeds lately but I really don't see a problem with this one.
[A Place For Us] is similar. I don't particularly know that aura blocking becoming more and more common is something I applaud though. When generator regression perks have been devalued, this is continuing to devalue aura perks as well. By example, [A Place For Us] feels like a hard counter to [Nurses Calling]. I wouldn't typically complain about hard counter perks, but they are somewhat sporadic in application. [Sprint Burst] by example has no hard counter, nor do [Dead Hard], [Lithe], [Prove Thyself], or [Resilience] as some of the most common survivor perks. It seems then kind of strange to see a B tier Aura reading perk like [Nurses Calling] get hard countered with a kind of passing disinterest. So I guess I'd say I'm fine with seeing this kind of thing if we're moving into an era where Killers will get more hard counter perks, and so will Survivors. Seems like a race to the bottom to me, but so long as it's applied on both sides, no issue really.
[Five Moves Ahead] on the other hand is a bit confusing. What does the cooldown trigger shutdown of? Do the Aura's shut down, or just the faster pallet drop? This just seems like [Windows Of Opportunity] got a glow up and came back from college. I hate seeing [Windows of Opportunity] so seeing its more attractive twin join the frey doesn't exactly instill a sense of approval, but that's just me.1 -

It literally does nothing on PTB.
