Do reports actually do anything?

Lately there's been a lot of how should I call it… "interesting" behaviour in the end game chat for me. I'm talking slurs and racism and such.

The reports go in, of course, but we never receive feedback.

I get the "hacking" reports are hard to prove and are a bit of a gray area, but when it's there in writing…

So the question is, do we know for a fact, someone is looking at those?

yeah, we know. We have seen content creators getting banned - on some cases where it wasnt warranted it was also lifted.

Though.. we do also get Feedback? It may take some weeks but you do get a Notification in-Game that some action was taken due to your report

for hacking and stuff like that you do Need to create an additional player report via their website (additionally to mandatory in-game Report so the Match can be tracked). For Chat harrassement/a use that is mit required and only the in-game Report would be enough.

I have noticed that some of my (hacking/griefing) reports lately got ignored (Clip on YouTube wasnt even watched once) though pretty sure i always got. a notification After chat reports

Not in my experience. I’ve reported several people for saying the most hateful, vile things imaginable in post-game chat and I never received any response back from BHVR that action was taken. Even reports against cheaters/griefers with video evidence provided - no response.

It’s not hard to see why this kind of stuff if so rampant when there are zero consequences for the offenders.

I've received one receipt about "actions being taken" on one of my reports about the trashtalk in the chat. So the system is there, at least it worked some time in the past. Needless to say that the total amount of reports I've sent is uncountable, and only one of them has led to any actions, but still. I also can't tell for sure what exactly had this magic power of triggering the reaction, because I didn't remember what and who exactly was reported (the receipt doesn't tell you). I can tell for sure that death threats, death wishes, racist/phobic slurs, slurs concerning physical and mental health, references to your relatives, sexual and other harassment don't trigger anything, as I've reported countless of those without getting any feedback. What was that one sin that was actually taken into account is still a mystery for me, I hope someone with more experience or better records can make a better guess.

My guess is the system requires multiple reports on a player before being looked into. If they swore their head off at you this round, and at people in the next couple rounds, then they probably look into it. But if its just letting off steam on one particular round they probably dont go on a banning spree as people are screaming at eachother in nearly every end game chat lol

I have a pride flag and have been called a slur more than once, never got a report back saying it was sanctioned. That is actually what made me open the thread, to see if it's just me or…

@Classic_Rando this was a reply to you, for some reason the quote didn't take lol

exactly this… they need to hire a team to deal with this, in my opinion… because sometimes it's just too much, and you never know who's on the other side

In game reports do very little unless its clear cheater that gets reported by 40+ other players and even reports filed in forums (on where is it even now) take very long time before they are implemented but the time and evidence cant everyone have to spare or even use it like recording of your games and I know some profiles people reported with lot of evidence and they were still not banned even after like half of the year so it more looks like luck plus how someone wakes up and decides to ban or not Idk but its not working like guarantee and still cheaters are back in few minutes or hours with new account.
