Hiding survivor offerings from SURVIVORS!
How killer sided is this dev that I do NOT deserve to know that hatch is at shack? The fact that they are hidden is PROOF that BHVR has no care for their survivor community. We are here to pay for the game and some cosmetics then be fodder for the important people. The new cult, the creator program people.

I think they mean that when you burn a ‘Secret’ offering, it’s hidden to all players. There’s no offering that’s visible to all survivors, but not the killer.
With hatch offerings, it results in only the player burning said offering knowing where hatch is going to be, despite them possibly not even being the one to be able to use that information.

I'm sorry, but @GentlemanFridge is exactly right. I do not believe that there is any reason to hide helpful info to your "team". Beyond the killer sided reasons that I could name. Sorry for the poor explanation, but thank you @GentlemanFridge for correcting my poor wording.

to be honest no such offerings should exist in the first place in my opinion. If the hatch is rng as they say it is then someone shoudnt be able to swing it in their favour

- While I agree that a secret offer should be secret to everyone, for the thousandth time, this game penalizes soloQ to favor SWF (since they can simply communicate the offers in the game among themselves). At this point I would do "secret for survivors" and "secret for killer".

I think it is hidden because BHVR did not bother to implement a "only for Survivors"-setting when it comes to Offerings. They are currently either secret (hidden) or public (not hidden).
But I agree that other Survivors should see the Hatch Offerings, because it is a team game, after all. Also it is another thing which separates Solos from SWF, a SWF does not care about hidden Offerings, Solos however are affected by them.

I always hated when someone burned a hatch offering, because it also told the Killer where it would be, but I also knew it would be just as bad to hide it from everyone. Imagine if the Killer played the hatch offering; the last Survivor would have no chance to find it.
For these reasons, I'd also be in favor of removing the hatch offerings entirely, and let the race for hatch be played fairly.

I always assumed it was secret to keep your teammates from assuming you're a rat and possibly griefing you. But yeah, maybe it's just a bad design in how it was implemented.

Honestly i just don't think any offerings should be secret.

I found the mind game kinda fun; send the killer on a wild goose chase while yoy camp the gate. half the time most people forget they even took the offering by the end anyway

I have another post about the hatch and such. But as with that a commenter made the suggestion of just getting rid of it. I personally only play survivor and i would prefer it be gone than hidden from your "team". But I do agree with the fact that the devs of a decade old game should do more with these simple little things.
