Trickster is still unreasonably difficult to play with a controller
With how sporadic & disjointed survivor movement is, it's very difficult to line up a shot on someone with an analog stick.
Even if you aim at the center of their hitbox, Trickster is too easy to outmaneuver with the rigid camera control & limited knife count.
If you're not going to add any controller settings, please consider increasing the size of the knife hitbox.

Historically they do not care about controller players. The elitist community will say play on mnk since its available to console. The devs know controller players are an after thought

I haven't played him on console but I've noticed that versing globe tricksters (I'm steam) they really struggle to get even one hit with the knife if you just weave slightly vs steam tricksters I verse who seem to be able to aim fine even getting long distance hits.

inst the vast majority of the fanbase controller?

I assume so.
I assume that's also why I haven't seen anyone play Trickster yet.
It's just Henry, Ghoul, Blight on the event queue.
Nemesis, Ghoul, Henry, & Huntress on the normal queue.

I don't think they should make any concessions to the design/balance of the power for controller players. We simply need the settings.

Yes that would be ideal, unfortunately they don't seem too keen on giving console players even the most basic client side options.
Increasing the knife hitbox sounds like the most realistic bandaid BHVR would use, so I just went with that.

it’s true console players don’t even have post game chat lmao

Don't spam and be patient. You're already putting yourself at an unnecessary disadvantage trying to spam a weaving survivor. Even on MnK its inefficient. I play on console and can aim pretty well.
Ideally, you're pacing your knives and going for 1 hit at a time. You get a better feel for where to aim and aren't wasting all your knives in one go. Plus, simply holding your knives will zone out survivors trying to dodge so you can get close enough to land better hits or M1. When you can spam is when survivors are caught vaulting or throwing pallets. You can hit roughly 2 to 3 knives on a low combo and all 6 at A or S since they're stuck in that animation. Not quite on windows, but definitely if they're throwing a pallet. They're not moving. At long range its still the same principle, unless they're stationary at a gen or unhooking.
Additionally, you'll rank up faster by pacing your shots since you aren't missing so much. Plus, even if you aren't going to deal damage at range, you still get valuable progress with your ranks since you get a bonus for hitting at a distance.
Rather than trying to emulate Mnk Triscker mains who have an easier time aiming and play all day, go at your own pace and take the shots you know can get, rather than hoping to land a shot by blindly firing in the general direction of the survivors.

I don't recall anyone in this thread lamenting about how hard it is to spam?
Also the tutorial is uncalled for, I'm confident we all understand how Trickster works.

The vast majority of the overall playerbase is on the consoles yes, something like 70%+ of the whole. Most of that I imagine is still using the controllers.
That part I find wild is that despite M&K support there's still an input delay with them, just like on the controller.

Trickster is about the easiest killer to aim with you aren't spamming so its easy to assume thats part of the bigger issue. Otherwise Huntress and Deathslinger would be just as difficult.
Also most post as if this update very clearly point to people not knowing how to play Trickster. Plus you're ignoring the newer players who just picked up Trickster and maybe the game in general. Kind of selfish to think otherwise.

Its like saying "playing shooter is unreasonably difficult to play on console".
-1 -
Only if the shooter hasn't done the bare minimum to keep up with the technical knowledge leaps that have been made for fine tuning stick control a la DbD.

Absolutely ridiculous comparing Trickster to Huntress & Deathslinger, & unambiguously false saying his power is easier to aim.
Trickster isn't a very popular killer, so I suppose you're right about people still finding their footing.
However, that doesn't change the fact that Trickster is unreasonably difficult to play with a controller regardless of how old or new the player is.

What makes Trickster uniquely difficult compared to other ranged killers is aside from the projectile being small/precise, the knives trajectories are off-center, constantly alternating between slightly to the left/right. Combine that with constant movement from a survivor and just typical controller aiming--- yeah, Trickster is rough.

Is this with HDCP disabled btw? I've noticed disabling it makes a pretty significant difference on controller at least.

I'll experiment when I get out of work and see.
