I'm really sick of Vigil

It's such an unhealthy perk. Not only does it make exhaustion perks even more difficult to deal with on Killer, it also disproportionately affects weaker Killers who utilise debuffs as part of their Power. And you only need one Survivor to have it for every Survivor to benefit from it. It's horrible playing against multiple Sprint Bursts or Lithes with a Vigil making them show up almost constantly and not knowing it's in effect without doing some serious mental arithmetic. Vigil should not affect Exhaustion and it should also not affect Killer Powers. I cannot think of a justification for the current state of Vigil.

I don't see why it should get the ax given the current state of the game. When the game is constantly in need of Survivors and more and more new Killers break the trials, you have to give players something that feels like they have autonomy. We don't have stealth, healing and gens are going the way of the dodo next update, side objectives have been off the table for years now—just let us have Exhaustion perks.

it's the only cleanse option in the game, we have no items or perks which give us the ability to cleanse other than vigil. (syringe is the exception but I'm on about debuffs in general)

Considering it can no longer stack with itself it's not really an issue.

Considering the alternatives, this is probably the best option, otherwise you might get insta cleanses and that would suck even more.

We can get rid of Vigil when we stop killers from stacking antigen. Until then, both sides get to be miserable.

I genuinely have no idea why this is so downvoted. Vigil is 100% overtuned and in need of a nerf. It should not affect killers' abilities at the very least. Just because there are also OP perks on the killer's side does not give Vigil and the exhaustion perks it buffs a free pass.

Ideally we should be dealing with all of these busted perks across the board so that people stop getting carried by them and actually have to use some modicum of skill to win.

Exactly which killer powers are you referring to?

Almost every killer about that inflicts a status that I can think of gives a permanent version of the debuffs that isn't affected by vigil. Like, for example, the exposed from ghost face is not impacted by the perk in any way.

I agree with you. For an effect that's entirely passive and applies to teammates as well, it does a little too much imo. Reducing exhaustion timers is strong on its own. Getting significant reductions to other effects on top of that just feels really bad and at least for me, there are a lot of perks/addons I don't use as much anymore because they're just not worth it with Vigil's current prevalence in games. I don't feel like it needs any kind of drastic overhaul or anything but def agree it should be toned down a little and its effect on certain killers' base powers should be removed (especially Freddy).

To be perfectly honest looking at the bigger picture, I'm pretty bored of the current meta as a whole on both survivor and killer and would love to see some changes in that department on both sides soon, this is just one piece of the puzzle really.
