Dangerous people in Creator Program

As you Know Dbd has a Creator program and while this is good however there is a major problem dbd has accepted a lot of Creators and some of those creators they accepted are problematic (Racist, Anti-Lgbtq, etc)

But that's not all the worst offenders in this program are Rapists, Groomers and the worst of all a criminal convicted of being a child predator. (Due to the rules of the forums I can't out this person).

That's why I am making this post to bring this attention to the Devs and to ask them to majorly rework the creator program and implement stricter background checks on the people to accept to the program.

I mean if a community manager sees this they can directly forward it up the chain of command instead of the report being lost in a sea of reports.

But yeah probably not the best place to do this kinda thing.

It surprises you? Streamers as a whole have a negative reputation for these kinds things

I had a run in with a creator recently. He threw a fit because I 99'd a door when he got hooked on the opposite side of the map. To me, it was the right move. Regardless, not a reason lose your ######### over. Then I played one more game and got hard tunneled out of the game, so I left his lobby. Then in his chat he and someone in his chat were still going on about the 99'd door a game later. I unfriended him, and got verbally abused in his stream for it. I said nothing in his chat to warrant the response I got at all.

I reported it on the website report area and they got back to me telling me to send an email to some email address. There really should be an easy way to report these awful creators for going against the rules they agree to. I didn't get a response if any action was taken against them or any acknowledgement it was even looked at.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with posting this here. They're not posting the report, but posting the issue they have noticed with the program.

Like how did I say that there was something wrong of his post. Using the word wrong in the sentence where it literally means that this is the not the optimal place to post this does not mean there is something wrong of posting it?

Absolutely! I was wondering why on earth a certain streamer was given access to the program. Behaviour need to get their act together!

In before this thread gets locked.

But yh if this is true bhvr should be checking people more carefully before allowing them to be creators

I get the severity of the issue you want handled, there's just really not much we can do with no names and no real direction about where the potential guilty parties are.

As a call to action post, there's not really an identifiable action to take here.

Feedback threads are for talking to the devs. They actually read them. General threads are just for community members to talk to each other.

Honestly, you'd really be better off sending them private feedback. That way you can provide evidence.

If you have info then message the community managers directly. But yes, there are problematic people in the Creator program. I don't think their vetting process was very thorough.

and the worst of all a criminal convicted of being a child predator. (Due to the rules of the forums I can't out this person).

Is that person even in the program itself? Bit fuzzy with the details on my end because as a non-account owner getting information out of [redacted] is finnicky and BHVR hasn't updated their creator code list in forever (which has put a stop to my sleuthing for now). Also the person in question seems to have gone nuclear with their accounts. Seems like that particular situation is 100% going to get handled regardless.

I agree that they probably have gone too lax with their program? People in there that shouldn't be there, people that meet the requirements and don't seem too bad but aren't in there..they kinda just do that sometimes eh? They did it here with the FuotM/Trusted thing that they quickly never made use of again after a certain point. Wonder if they'll consider this situation as poor of an error as they did back then. It certainly looks worse on them than any random forum member could make them look.

I don't think they're unaware if it's been leaked to multiple people. At best, they might be investigating. But it's also not as if BHVR has the best reputation.

I've often questioned as to how they are screening people. I've seen a few that I would describe as very toxic players. I'm not shaming, play how you want but you would think to be included in a program like this where they are basically representing the game Bhvr would actually want people who would draw in new players. If I was on the fence or hadn't seen the game before and came across some of these people it would turn me off purchasing and playing.

I am going to close this, its not the place for it. If anyone does have information to share regarding serious issues around creators, then please send in a player support ticket. Thank you.
