Kill Switch update: We have temporarily disabled The Legion due to an issue that allows for infinite power spam. The Legion will be re-enabled once this issue is fixed.

Diminishing Returns also includes effects from the opposing sides. is it in intentional?

I made a video with three examples with different situations.

Wow yeah, haven't watched the entire video yet but that makes Coulrophobia nearly worthless. Good change.

Yeah, because so many people will heal inside the Terror Radius when Coulrophobia is in play… I mean, it is obviously unintended and should be fixed, but come on. At least be somewhat reasonable.

There are definitely times to do it, if you have bonus healing speed, are picking up someone slugged, topping off when you're nearly fully healed, trying to keep alive someone who is on death hook, etc. This oversimplified and way too heavy-handed system is unreasonable.

The real insidious effects are things like Thanatophobia or Dying Light, which trigger the penalty even when the effect is at a single stack and microcosmic. It just straight up halves those when they're already weak AND at their weakest, and are easily triggerable just by survivors working on a gen together. Or BT haste getting reduced after being hit immediately after unhook or SBing away, so tunnelling is indirectly easily.

Yes, I think they are intentional. They seem to not want values to get to absurd places (self heal in a coulrophobia), so it has nothing to do with how (based on how BHVR has approached this). They might not have thought of these possibilities, but it does seem to be their end goal.

I feel like they didn't consider all the possibilities, just focused in on some YouTube problem builds. Like that BT example feels like something they should've noticed? I think this is something they should really put on hold bringing to live so they can more thoroughly look at the impact its having because its not just diminishing returns on a haste build or gen/healing speed build.

I doubt this is intentional. This would, effectively, butcher most perks in the game for killers, as Killers have more perks that effect survivor stats than survivors have perks to effect killer stats. All this would do is create a meta of gen blocking and slug rushing as anti healing perks, gen slow down perks, etc would become entirely worthless.
