The killer shouldn't be shown in the match details. There's no reason for this.
10 -
I don´t think it is useful. I will, even in soloq, no look up what perks my mates have. I simple have no interest in knowing it.
-12 -
Just want to make sure this information is also shared here, but the timing of when the Killer power icon is shown is a tunable on our side, which means we can make adjustments to this if needed.
We'll be closely watching feedback to keep the team informed about how folks are feeling about this in case adjustments from PTB to Live are needed!

It's a great change and helps SoloQ a lot by knowing what the teammates have and therefore kinda assume if they need any help or what their plan is. I know some players will say "that feature will encourage players to dc even more when they see the perks the teammates have" but this is rather a player or perk problem than a feature problem. For example, I had survivors who had no strong perks but were insanely good at chase because they were skilled and not carried by perks. That is something many players don't understand/see. On the other hand, if a player has Left Behind, Sole Survivor, Low Profile, Calm Spirit or Self-Prevasation. It already makes the look that this survivor plays on their own and don't care about their teammates - which might be true. But here the problem are selfish perks that need a rework into something that helps SoloQ instead of huring them.
However, showing the killer right away is not good. In my opinion, the killer should be revealed in this HUD once they get the first injury on a survivor. This is the earliest point where it's fair for both sides. Otherwise, Hag, Ghost Face, Wraith, or Myers get a huge shadow-nerf because the survivors know which killer it is and can harass them in the right way. On top of it, some stealth combinations like Secret Project + Corrupt lose their surprise factor because the survivors know what killer to expect.
Overall, great QoL change for SoloQ that is more than welcome while the killer part needs a slightly change to not shadow-nerf to some killers or perks.

Its a great change just don't show the Killer and we're good
12 -
Yeah this is fine just dont show killer at all it doesnt need adjusting just removed and it will save alot of headaches and extra work

It is definitely useful. Knowing a teammate has deliverance or decisive srtrike can save lots of time that wouldve been spent helping them; seeing someone with conviction or unbreakable will help you play in a way that helps them clutch. Even knowing they've got dead hard or off the record could stop you from wasting time.
Even just in small cases where the survivor needs someone else to activate a perk it would help. For example clean break or conviction, survivors with resilience (or who are just confident) wont want to waste time healing, but knowing you need it for value they might let you.

Good change, dont show the killer or stealth killers will take a big hit.
5 -
Then dont look at it? People who want to see this information and can get use of it will make use of it. Those who dont do not need to bother.
Exactly. It all depends on the fact if the other Survivors can actually comprehend the information given. Not everyone will be able to do so (we see it with the HUD), but players who want to make use out of it, will be able to do so. I will happily let someone else get Deliverance or let them unhook if they have Shoulder the Burden.

Jumping in here with a lil question prompt! Is there a point in a match after which you feel it would be reasonable for the Killer to be shown in the Match Details screen?
I know this is a particularly hot topic with stealth Killers, so I'd love folks' POVs!
0 -
It should be visible once a chase starts or someone gets hit by the killer. Prior to that it should be hidden.
4 -
For what purpose? Survivors dont have the time to be obliviously reading the killers power description during the match. And if they were determined to do so they would simply pull a wiki up on their phone.
1 -
Really nice change.
I actually think we could take it further, by allowing players to "pin" a perk they have on their activity HUD. For example, if I have StB and want to make a save, it would be neat if I could briefly display that perk next to my character portrait by clicking it on the menu to let everyone know my intention. Or even being able to ping Deliverance if I'm on the hook to let people know they don't need to save. Of course, that might be a bit outside the scope of the Match Details tab, but I'd really love to test something like this.
1 -
I think the changes are okay. I still think it would be significantly more convenient to include it where people in lobbies can see your perks instead to make it better for the solo queue player experience.
4 -
Make so the killers only gets revealed in hud when someone gets chased first.
2 -
no it just shouldnt be a thing to show in the match details screen i dont get why you and devs are so insistent on having killer shown in match details which you admit yourself hurts stealth killers the most honestly just remove the killer portion on match screen and its perfect
-2 -
Once someone has an interaction with the killer like chase, hit, disarming trap, etc. since that would be the point a swf would also know and be able to tell their teammates. If possible using the point interaction at the killer/killer item would allow the survivor that sees the killer without interaction be able to inform the team (again, similar to swf) - could even tie in a new scoring event "first to identify killer."
-1 -
To be fair, the feature itself is just not worth it. What exactly should be the benefit of it? At the point you know which killer to go against its just unnecassary. Also, during th time you do not know it a tell is unreasonable. Just dont waste xyour time with such trivial ideas.
Also, most killers have some kind of tell so you know who to go against pretty early.
2 -
nobody is gonna read perks in game; this is a change thats either "show in lobby or bust" I feel.
0 -
im 100% for this change but i think the UI could be improved in that it shouldnt block your entire screen while its open. making it a transparent background rather than an opaque one would go a long way in making it feel less obtrusive to gameplay (it could also be moved to other parts of the screen)
i also think itd be really nice if certain (not all!) killer perks were shown once it's affected one survivor on a team. for example if someone is hit by a basic attack with sloppy, sloppy will be shown next to the killer power, if you run past a dull everyone can see theres a hex: undying, if someone is in chase when bamboozle triggers itll show up etc etc. (perks that are a lot more "unobservable" shouldnt show up though like batteries included, pop, brutal strength, barbecue etc)1 -
The middle of the match or when first gens been popped
0 -
After the first down or hook.
-2 -
It should be shown to you once you had your first chase. So if survivor A got chased survivor A can see it, but not survivor B,C,D. If you want to make it more soloq friendly then after the first or second chase happened.
0 -
Exactly this.
If this should bridge solo to be more "swiffy" it would be fine if a chase starts or somebody gets hit. Then a team would know the latest who the killer is.
A real swf would know when the first surv sees the killer.
2 -
the humble first hook:
0 -
The last thing left to add is quick chat.
Now i will know if someone will Self-careing on the corner thank you!
Or why my teammates just exchange on the hook. Or why someone left a gen and approach to the hooked survivior (Reassurance/ShouldertheBurden)0 -
Killer could be shown like after ~2 min into the game, then it won't hurt stealthy dudes. Overwise stealth killers is dead.
-1 -
Please make it so the killer isn't instantly shown.
1 -
The killer shouldn't be displayed at all. If they absolutely must be displayed, they should only be revealed after someone has started a chase.
3 -
I feel like after the first injury is a fair timing to reveal the killer in the menu.
I also have a question; when the killer icon is revealed, we can hover over to see the power description. Is it possible to make the descriptions shorter (bullet points or just the important info like you did with the perk descriptions)? I think it would help a lot of players when they can read the killer's power quickly to get an idea of how they work. Nobody can read a whole essay (Lich, Henry, or Ghoul) during a match.
1 -
In my opinion, on the first hook would be the safest bet (or first down).
The main reason is, it's not meant to spoil the killer, and for beginners the only good time to read the killer power anyways while not throwing the game by doing so is when they have time on their hands to read (aka when they're on a hook), which is why I think it'd be good to train beginner survivors to pop up the UI to read the killer power the second they get hooked instead of when they should be doing gens ❤️-1 -
Also, when we are going to have Kindred basekit? It would be a big buff for SoloQ without bringing too many issue to the game.
1 -
Reasonable? Yes. After 1 hook you could theoretically show the killer icon. But I don't think it gives any gain at that point for either side (for experienced players anyway).
What I would say adds value is if it is by individual encounters: Surv1 gets hooked and the icon is revealed for them and them alone. This would help new players as you could include a short description of the killer for short-reading while you wait on hook or something.
The descriptions could read stuff like:
"Dredge — Teleports to lockers and occasionally to its shadow husk. Maybe you should lock that locker!"
"Wesker — likes to dash up to people running in straight lines and throw them. You may want to find some lysol bottles!"
And, yes, these are horrifically oversimplified, but they get a general idea across & maybe some basic counter-play that new players should practice!
-1 -
good addition but just blur out the Killers entire loadout section until after 60 seconds into the match. Should be plenty of time to get eyes on the killer for all players. You could use that mechanic from that PTB you first tried all the anti-tunnel/camp/slug mechanics where a survivor on hook had a black shadow over their icon so the killer wouldn't know when they got unhooked. Recycling mechanics
Also I don't see any forum post on feedback for the extra auras (unless it got buried, I didn't find one) I would like to suggest some dark color auras for instance of getting maps like Coldwind or Ormond, kinda hard to see ANY auras on a map saturated with the color yellow.

AT THE START OF THE MATCH:
Positives:
It's simple and intuitive.
Negatives:
Unnecessarily spoils stealth killers, which are already weaker compared to other killers and don't need an arbitrary nerf
WHEN A CHASE STARTS:
Positives:
This would reflect the flow of information more closely to what an SWF would have access to
Negatives:
In case of stuff like grabs where a chase might've never started, it creates this weird period where the killer still isn't known for a long time to solos, which may create weird outcomes for this feature if certain killers can avoid triggering chase one way or another
Another problem is that it would still nerf stealth killers against solos to a certain agree, who sometimes switch chase at the start, and can now only really use the element of surprise once
WHEN SOMEONE FIRST GETS HOOKED:
Positives:
Trains newer players to read the perk ability during a time when they have free time on their hands, and aren't throwing the game by reading it.
Another positive effect is that it still allows stealth killers to switch targets and still surprise people, which wouldn't be the case if the killer would be revealed on first chase
Negatives:
Gives a slight advantage to SWFs with coms, who will still know who the killer is before solos0 -
Please consider only showing a teammate's perks on a need to know basis. For example, Deliverance or Unbreakable could fall into the need to know category as by knowing these perks are in play it will help Survivors to make better decisions.
But other Survivors don't really need to know if their teammates have "selfish" perks like Sole Survivor, for example. I'm sure you guys can see how knowing this could potentially lead to griefing because you already hide similar things from other players (e.g. hatch offerings). I know this would be more work, but it would be a healthier approach imo. Alternatively, players could be given the option to hide their perks if they wish to.
-3 -
If you want to bring solo queue closer to SWF, then the killer should be shown in the details the second the first chase is initiated. Why? Because in an SWF, the killer is always called out to the group.
0 -
Another negative for the when someone first gets hooked: There will be killers using this as an excuse to slug more to avoid being revealed.
0 -
I don't think the benefit of having it hidden is so great that such a thing will ever happen realistically. Since people can still know who you are (quite easily) without the UI of course
-1 -
Good idea in theory but is implemented a little worse than it could be
#1.) Balancing wise the ability to see who the killer is needs to be changed to only be visible after either a survivor is inside their terror radius or looks at the killer as the this would mimic when the info would be given while in swf
#2.) Lots of QoL could be used here such as re-combining the quests into the players tab no reason it cant fit and would make it easier to quickly check quests, visually the killer icon could be changed to their portrait from 2v8 rather than the killer power icon and that can be moved to the location where the survivor item would be, bring back the dark fog and spiky bits at the bottom that are currently in the live version as it just looks nicer and breaks up the gray color, finally this screen could also be expanded on to include players badges, banners, score, prestige, etc.

Even if it's not at the beginning of the match it's still not a welcomed idea.
let's say it works when the killer starts a chase or injures a survivor or even hook a survivor (this can be done in the first 20-30s which will destroy the chance of doing another stealthy play like going for another survivor grab surprise or stalk)
If you really need to add this feature for whatever reason I suggest it has conditions like
Killer power is only shown to survivors who entered a chase with the killer/got injured by the killer
AND after 1.5 - 2 mins of the match0 -
I'm gonna give some feedback that I haven't seen posted.
You already know how people feel about killer being visible.
It's a much welcome change seeing teammates perks in-game. While I do wish they were seen in lobby, so I could change my build accordingly, I know you guys are firm on this.
Minor Feedback - for perks that require activation, please let them not show as brightly lit on the Info screen, so teammates are aware it's not available. For example, if someone is hooked before proccing Deliverance, it shows as faded, so the team knows they do need to be saved.
BIGGEST FEEDBACK
In every FPS game I've ever played, you HOLD the button to view the info screen for ping, characters being played, etc. Think of like Overwatch or VALVe games. Why is there no option to change this screen from "toggle" to "hold to view". I want to be able to quickly reference all of this info, perhaps even in chase for ping, head on, etc without having to double tap. Please make this an option to choose. I understand wanting to have the option of it being a toggle, so it's easier for newer players to hover over things and read, but for more experienced players it makes the screen more tedious to use.
Other small tweak: Opacity of the overall screen. Make it easier to see through the background, so newer players don't feel insanely unsafe if they are hovering over perks to view what they are, because they can still see around them.

Teammate Perks - it's fine, but I still think there are a few perks that BHVR should just make much more obvious. If a survivor on hook has an active deliverance or wicked for example, its really important to know, and this is just going to lead to saltiness between survivors / throwing a match when someone goes in for an unhook because they forgot / didn't see deliverance when they looked over the screen at the beginning
I guess the idea is that this will allow newer players the ability to read over the killer info, because outside that it seems a negative change that not only harms stealth killers, but takes the suspense out of the game when you first spot them coming at you
Ideal scenario - first hook
If it has to be time base - probably like 90 seconds in

I just don't like that there's a completely separate tab for quests now. It's very inconvenient that I can't 1-click see my quests anymore.

I think it would make the most sense to reveal who the Killer is after you've been in chase with them one time. So it's revealed on a per-player basis, after each player has already guaranteed figured out who the Killer is.
This guarantees that nobody knows something ahead of when it was revealed to them.
Part of the fun of any killer is that sometimes even after the first down you still don't know who it is! The, "oh gosh this is a vicious killer - they've gotten a down and I still don't even know who it is!" is an exciting moment that I would hate to lose.

Great feature, tho i have a few things that i would like to see improved :
Enemy build completion : When a perk is revealed (shown in the upper right of your screen, like hexes), it could be added to the visible list of the enemy in the tab. This would greatly aid in closing the gap between solo and swf BUT for it to be done, perks that are not reveled that way right now when you see them should be reveled (exemple : bamboozle should be reveled if the killer does it close to a survivor. In comms this type of perks get called out instantly.) This could be done on both sides as it can be hard sometime to be sure whitch Endurance perk you got hit by !
UI QOL : Make it so that we can run while reading this tab and make it bigger would make it so much smoother.

Unable to give any feedback about the implication of the feature as cant get a match on PTB in my region just wanted to add and say please don't change anything in regards to the survivor side of seeing each others perks (eg making it optional to show, only showing some perks)
seeing the killer I don't really care about as am going to find out who it is regardless but seeing team mate perks is something soloq has been asking for for ages <30 -
Ok, you naughty killer main.
Other people will find it very useful.
Good!
Please do change that. This hurts stealthy killers significantly. Can we make it show up whenever first chase starts? That's the healthiest way I believe.
