Fast Track is Dead
Survivor Perk Updates Fast Track
- Whenever another Survivor is hooked, you earn 1/2/3 Token(s), up to 9/9/9.
- While repairing, whenever you hit a great basic Skill Check, spend all Tokens.
- For each Token spent, the Generator gains 1/1/1% permanent progress (was 2%).
Wow fast track got nerfed I'm so not surprised welp had its 15mins of fame is geuss a mid perk now trash

This is not the version of Fast Track that will go Live. Our Designers are aware that the 1% progress is likely not going to be useful enough. They're currently working on keeping the 2% but changing the activations conditions, this still has to be tested but should make it a healthier direction to take.
-8 -
Ngl just keeping it at 2% but making it harder to get Value from is still basically a nerf that's nobody are gonna bother to use.
This in your own words Side grade is just a thinly veiled nerf. if you're gonna make it harder to get your gonna have to buff the numbers to make it even worth running it.

if the activation actually required some skilled play the could keep those values . For example you gain takens every 30 seconds in chase or so . That way you actually earn the tokens .
-5 -
Maybe we could see the return of that activation condition in new upcoming perks design or reworked ones? I like the idea of getting buffs when other survivors are getting hooked. But maybe with different rewards than repairing?
-1 -
If its not ready to go, it seems strange to have a version in the PTB that has nothing to do with what we're going to get. In effect we're testing nothing.
Also, to reiterate a common thing issue with the PTB, it would sure help if BHVR was clearer on why perks were getting changed: is it a simple matter of a perk overperforming, or is it in response to player complaints about not liking the perk and, if so, how was that gathered? We don't even know exactly why we're testing a different verison.
8 -
So since killers complained about fast track and it giving tokens for them doing their objectives, can we take a look at fire up, and that giving them tokens for survivors doing their objectives?
9 -
Its quite infuriating how the killer doompostings always gets their way lately. Devs always bow to killers rants lately.
8 -
Fast track is much too op. So no idea why they don´t change it back to it was it was before.
-13 -
If you already know a change isn't going to go live, then you shouldn't put it on the PTB.
15 -
can you tell us what the new activation condition will be? We've told you in the last PTB that the hooking condition is just unhealthy for the game and needs a change but you were like "we will see how it goes on live servers (The "T" in PTB stays sometimes for testing)". I'm afraid that your new activation condition will either be still unhealthy or not hit the mark to put Fast Track in a healthy but also useful spot.
-4 -
Just a thought: maybe 1.5% per token could be okay when it comes to a Fast Track?
-8 -
A healthier activation would be perfect. I’d settle for that if we can’t remove the permanent progress it gives. That is the pain point.
-7 -
Exactly. There is no point in testing something which will not come to Live anyway. They should have left it as it is and bring the new version when it is actually ready to be tested. (Plus with this they would gain actual data and dont just follow the Doomposting once again… 4 times now that things got nerfed quickly or scrapped, because BHVR values loud people and clickbaiting Content Creators over actual feedback)
11 -
But we don't know which type of activations. If it's gonna be something like personally unhooking a survivor then this perk is gonna be dropped and then again it will need a rework.
9 -
True…but I am curious about the options. I do a lot of rescuing with “Well make it” so if it was changed to that, it would be perfect for me.
Wouldn’t mind at all. I get the heal off, the BP and tokens to put into a Gen. Win Win.

We should actually take a look at every perk that triggers upon an opponents actions. It's very problematic, after all, to be rewarded for someone else's actions. I'm afraid about half the perks are going to need reworks, but it's only fair, of course.
10 -
It was already in the build as we were looking at a variety of things, we weren't settled on the adjustments when this build was created - we were still looking at other options.
1 -
Don't forget the ones that indirectly trigger as well. Can't be punished by We'll Make It if you never hook. Won't be punished by NOED if you never finish a gen.
2 -
congrats you got your wish no one really uses fire up even though it has those conditions
-9 -
True I was thinking the same thing…..
-7 -
Your crying about Fire-Up????? Fire-UP is not game braking as Fast Track it's not the same…..
-8 -
The problem with fast track isn't isnt the 2% ITS THE FACT THAT ITS PERMEANT PROGRESS. Just make it progress and not permanent progress and that would already make the perk a lot less miserable to go against.
-9 -
the main difference here is that there is only one Fire Up per game and three other perk slots for the killer, whereas there can be 4 Fast Tracks and 12 perk slots left to either synergise with this or provide support for any teammate that has a dedicated gen build
-2 -
no? the guy i'm replying to did i'm just saying fire up is bad and he got his wish since no one is using it anyway
-4 -
Im glad you got it.
About activation conditions.
I dont think Fast Track effect strong ect… (And just straight up nerf wont do anything to it)
So changing the way you earn tokens will probably fix the issues caused by it.0 -
Yeah when i read sidegrade i thought the same.
But its just nerf.
So i hope they will look to change activation conditions, to keep the same effect as it was.1 -
No matter how ineffective it may be, the activation condition of "the killer hooking survivors evenly" is inherently unhealthy. It would be healthier to either completely rework it or leave it as garbage.
-3 -
Then you have popular perks like Lethal and Corrupt that activate by just loading into the game lol this whole 'you should work for your perk value' is another be careful what you wish for scenario for the community
(P.S. Corrupt is my favourite perk, please don't nerf it devs lol I'm just making a point)
11 -
Don't be dramatic.
Even if it stays at 1% per token, it still stays good.
-1 -
Yet the main complaint was that it "punished the killer" for hooking, and Mandy's response is basically saying that, yes, that's the exact feedback they're listening to, catering to, and making changes to.
It has nothing to do with the strength of the perk.
Because you can also argue that fast track is limited tokens spent on activation, and so can't be used indefinitely... Which you can't say for fire up, batteries included, or noed (theoretically infinite value, especially depending on how long the match goes).
And, for the record, all of those perks "punish survivors" so I guess we'll look forward to some activation changes to "unhealthy perks", right?
5 -
Lets make corrupt 60 sec, and disable the moment surviviors saw the killer! Ha ha!
Im kidding.
After 120 sec/1st down Corrupt disabled for the entire game.
But solo Lethal P is usless without any aura read.
If you are bring 2 of them after Start you are have 2 dead slots.
So i can't compare Corrupt and Lethal to FT value.-2 -
Don't be dramatic.
Even if it stays at 1% per token, it still stays good.
4 people bring it 9% from one hook almost like 1 BNP.
Still free value.-4 -
Make your research.
It's 6% of a gen each for 3 people for 1 hook.
1 -
Perk in nutshell: Your team is bad, we give you free progress. Your team does well and killer has three hooks, one on you… the perk did nothing. It's inconsistent but I highly understand the killer frustration for giving swfs 18 % free progress on every hook. It would be much better if perk reduces maximum heal progress that needs to be done for every hook. Let's say, 1 hook gives you one token. Each token grants 5 % permanent reduction on heal needed to be done on you.
-1 -
Agree.
-2 -
It's kidna strange they decided to nerf the perk for the PTB when live version won't be tested and won't have common conditions.

Special pleading is an informal fallacy wherein a person claims an exception to a general or universal principle, but the exception is unjustified. It applies a double standard.

Ad hominem (Latin for 'to the person'), short for argumentum ad hominem, refers to several types of arguments where the speaker attacks the character, motive, or some other attribute of the person making an argument rather than the substance of the argument itself. This avoids genuine debate by creating a diversion often using a totally irrelevant, but often highly charged attribute of the opponent's character or background.
