Ghoul counterplay

So I've been saying since the ghoul came out that there is counterplay and if you think there is a lack of it then it is a skill issue. And I stand by this despite them letting survivors phase through your collision mesh and also everyone saying there is no counterplay. I've been playing this game since it came out, I've played a large amount of nurse and I'm here to have you consider something. Play a match against a ghoul, then play a match against a good nurse. You will notice a stark contrast in that you can actually avoid the ghoul's abilities and have counterplay. Whereas against the nurse, if she knows what she's doing, you will literally have no say in anything. Your chases will last a little more than two blink fatigues, and you can buy an extra 5 seconds if you use one of the built in or a million endurance perks (because two health states isn't enough already)

For every situation there is counterplay against the ghoul, for nurse the only counterplay is to pray. So as I said before, if you think there's no ghoul counterplay its a skill issue.

While we agree that people whine about the ghouls way to much, when you say that there's counterplay and then go on to rant without even saying anything about it, your REALLY not helping anything here

Might help if you described the actual counterplay instead of just saying "skill issue" and "at least it's not nurse"

Something else being a bit worse doesn't make anything better. Both have very limited counterplay.

Then again, looking at recent killer design, this might be what bhvr is going for at this point.

Nurse has better counterplay than Ghoul, so I would say also skill issue.
Issue is Nurse can remove counterplay with perks, but so can Ghoul.

I will take Nurse anyday over Ghoul. Nurse at least needs some skill to be good.

It's funny how you want to compare match with "good Nurse" and any Ghoul. If you compare with good Ghoul, who can actually use leap in loops, then there is not really much counterplay going on.

Using leaps to cut survivors off the resource from loop like wraith does (ofcourse wraith doesnt do it with some form of dash or leap but he does cut survivors off from resource) is harder than playing nurse it requires way more speed and accuracy.

Using his leaps for enraged vault isnt hard but its not that strong because survivors can just vault through ghoul back to other side when he is preforming that vault (1,5 seconds) which is kinda easy counter that doesnt require much brain from survivor side just obseravtion of killer with little experience.

Other than that ghoul is palying 115% speed in loops and can vault them but now he isnt so good in this as before so his skill of being good in chase is way higher than before.

Nurse needs to be more precise but isnt that hard to get used to because you use her power all the time, she cant be played without not using her power even with that meme addon that makes her 115% speed and her antiloop is way better than ghouls so unless the nurse isnt that good or you arent in good part of the map you will get hit annyways if she doesnt mess ups.

Thing is this higly depends on survivors and killers skill especialy survivors because nurse is harder for less experienced players but against highly experienced or skilled nurse good survivors that can loop will last shorter time now than against ghoul because being injured isnt something so bad for good survivors that knows how to loop if its was the case (being injured would be very bad for good survivors) than legion and plague would be way stronger than they are.

Nurse is totaly different killer in terms of gameplay to others, she is 4% slower than survivors meaning she cant chase even 100% speed killer cant catch survivor and 105% speed like mayers cant do it fast enought before that survivor has reached some safety and 110% killers can start to cahse but highly more depend on loop type, nurse can play anything but differently her power is strongeest for reason its just way stronger where 115% killers are way way worse like in open spaces and loops where survivor cna see them and react to them but nurse has more harder time to get value when line of sight on target is blocked but she still can play it well because that los is only thing that stops her no window or pallet will save you against nurse but cluster of big tall rocks or walls will.

Yeah, under "good" Ghoul I would expect them to do this too, I don't find it harder than what Blight needs to do…

But I am pretty sure average/bad Ghoul is going to have way better results than Nurse, simply because his skill floor is way lower than Nurse. It's not even close.

I agree Ghoul has quite high skill ceiling, issue is most players don't need to really reach it to have good results.

I agree nurse is the stronger killer but at least she has to put skill into the character to get results was my point. I don't feel as bad loosing to a goated nurse because she's high skill high reward.

Ghoul meanwhile gets a zero skill lock on hit where he weeb screams in your face, Then he either uses hypermobility combined with short cooldowns to get the down or plays the loop normally. Hes low skill high reward.

I would take a nurse match over ghoul any day because majority of players cant play nurse well enough to get consistent results, meanwhile I feel like majority of players can play ghoul and get consistent results.
