Plot Twist usage & ban timers – what counts as griefing?

I use Plot Twist pretty often, and I recently got a ban timer even though I didn’t disconnect from the match.

At the start of some games, I use Plot Twist to down myself right away to remove Corrupt Intervention. After that, I either get back up or wait for a teammate to help me.

My question is about what happens in these scenarios:

  • If I stay on the ground for a bit after using Plot Twist, can that be considered griefing?
  • If a teammate heals or unhooks me and I use Plot Twist again to down myself, is that bannable?
  • If I’m getting tunneled or the match is basically lost, is letting myself bleed out considered a punishable offense?

I’ve also had situations where killers realize I downed myself and just leave me on the ground, which makes it feel like the only way to leave the match is to bleed out or die on hook.

I’m just trying to understand what behavior actually triggers penalties so I can avoid getting banned

Only time I've gotten a warning for intentionally dying was when a cheating Spirit killed me and my team in the first minute of the match. It's also a very specific warning, not just a matchmaking lockout.

So I don't think using Plot Twist would trigger anything like that. Unless you plot twist, get picked up by the killer, then plot twist right off hook and is picked up and hooked again only to die on the hook.

Did you get an actual Ban, so a DC penalty for it? Or did you get the inaction method?

There is no way you get a DC penalty and have to wait to queue up if you just use Plot Twist.

However, I can imagine that the inaction system might kick in if you plot twist early or often and/or decide to be on the ground for longer, since the system might think that you get downed on purpose and are not doing enough to progress the game.
