If someone is tunneled out at 5 gens, would you rather the game end?

The killer hard tunnels someone at 5 gens. Soon into the game its a 3v1 at 5 gens. Would you rather the game move on or fight for what is often a loss.

How often you have the situation that a killer is hard tunneling your mate at 5 gens?

If someone getting hooked, the other can finish at least one gen.

    End the game.

There’s no counterplay to tunneling at 5 gens, it’s literally the strongest strat in the game right now and killers have it way too easy. People say “just play better” like I can magically stop getting hard targeted while my teammates are crouching around the map doing nothing.

At that point the match is already done. One survivor is out before anything even happens, the killer gets free pressure for just focusing one person, and the rest of us are stuck trying to “fight it out” in a 3v1 at 5 gens like it’s still winnable.

Just end it, give the bloodpoints, and let everyone go next. There’s nothing to play there.

I am not high mmr. But I have played for years with friends. And in the last year I have 5 out of 10 matches where the killer does this. Its why I am posting the question. So to simply, it happens so often that I felt the need to ask.

you have to be throwing for a tunnel our at 5 gens or someone is smurfing but that's a massive survivor skill issue and they should put on ds

I am sorry. You are right. EVERY single brand new player deserves it. Skill issue, am I right? I have been in the discord for DBD and killers in the killer section brag about looking at profiles and finding new players so they can tunnel them. What irks me about this all, well there are MANY things, but in terms of a game. Most people talk like the world has them and only them in it. There are poor souls who screwed up and bought this game thinking it could be fun. Join a game and get tunneled because killers will chase the weaker link. But you are right, that fool deserved it. Teach him to pay for a game for fun.

i say this since ds is a free perk

    >finding new players so they can tunnel them

that means it's a literal skill issue and a smurfing issue

Likely won't escape but I have had matches turn around occasionally. Not often. But it when it does, it's usually when said person being tunneled got hooked first and they've just chosen to exit early regardless of whether they were tunneled by trying to force DS, standing still under hook, throwing themselves at the killer.

Regardless of whether they were hard tunneled or just giving up, there's fun to be had in the chase and ultimately escaping is not a requirement for me to enjoy the game. And when it does turn around because you've taken the killer on a 3-5 gen chase, boy, does it feel good.

As with most of this community, you are being minimally realistic. Yes its free, BUT with the average mobility of killers now. Most people don't get much distance. So irrelevant. The average problem person just has no concern, like the dev for the fact that new people and people who dont want to be streamers andyoutubers play this game. YOU are clearly one of those. For the overall purpose DS is not the answer to what you quoted.

You can still get few gens done and earn some BPs. After all, it doesn't take too much to lose intentionally, besides, there's always a chance killer will ''calm'' down and there will opportunity for you do stuff, like some tricky quests.

    Fight to the end.

As long as all remaining survivors unanimously agree to it, they should just be allowed to forfeit (like every other online multiplayer game has).

But assuming that's off the table… I voted "Fight" because I want it to be up to the survivors. I don't want a mere "Game Over" screen because one teammate was bad.

I don't mind fighting over hatch, but it's so boring in its current iteration. And if the killer decides to slug for the 4k, it becomes completely pointless! That entire situation needs a redesign.

At this point, I don't need the BPs. But I will concede that some do. But it is still time vs reward. Moving into the next game and not sweating for too long in a losing situations could be more BPs. So toss up. But staying for the "hope" that the sweaty killer will calm down is a crazy take. If so the killer shouldn't be playing the 4v1 game he should fine a 3v1.

I disagree with the vote, but I do agree with you 100%. I have other posts about the nonsense of slugging for hatch. So solid comment. Thanks.

I understand why people don't wanna continue, but I just update my win condition to getting 3-4 gens completed a player down. If everyone else gives up, at least I get hatch.

The only thing I try to avoid is obviously trapping someone in the game if the killer is slugging for the 4k.

Also sensible. And I agree with you, i do the same. Doesn't matter in end game chat, I'll get the toxic ez anyways but I agree. Sadly in my exp over the last year a half, the hatch is almost always denied by the killer due to the slug. But thanks.

The most are not high mmr. Doing gens is the very basic of the game. Say your friends that they don't need to instant unhook you to prevent the tunneling. Yiu should also play killer to learn more about the other side before blaming everyone else.

Ignorant thought. I have played both. I know whats going on. So your basic counter means nothing. But I guess thanks for the comment.

Did you played killer in live or in custom games?

How many games you have done as killer and when you started?

Just curious you want to be treated as beginner but you already played dbd over one year and know whats going on.

    End the game.

Ultimately, I play killer TO HAVE FUN. It is a video game, designed to be played and have fun. In this game, it is commonly understood that the killer is in COMPLETE control of how the game goes. Especially, its level of fun. And since my ego will never go down due to losing in a video game and my family is still safe and secure whether I win or lose. I feel no need to treat other people on the same game that they are playing like trash because my world and ego, being competitive is all ego, do not demand that I sweat through my matches. I run deathslinger with no addons and no perks and can 4k if I want. This game is BORINGLY EASY on killer. I do run into survivors WAY better than me. And they win. Guess what life kept going. It was fine. I didn't have to tunnel or slug or go back to hook. I patrol gens and still can 4k. The killer side argument about challenge is massively overexaggerated. The simple fact is that if you have to employ CHEAP "Strategies" to 4k then very simply put, YOU need to get better. At the end of it all, it's a video game that I really like and want others to enjoy as well. So that's what I do since as killer since I am completely in control.

It was never stated that they are a beginner, they mentioned that in regards to actual new players having to deal with killers tunnelling, but I agree that if someone is tunnelled out at 5 gens or even 4 gens left, I say go next, people are saying stay in the match and try to get blood points but you would just earn more in the next match, I also vote "end the game" because if a killer needs to tunnel to win the game like their family are being hold hostage I try to limit their blood points also by giving less hooks, less hits etc.. If that makes me a bad person, I would agree the killer go what they deserved. Its the same agreement with people complaining about 4 survs botting out, the reality of that situation is most likely those survs didn't want to waste their time dealing with these "legitimate strategies". Every killer that employs these "strategies" also just comment be better, what is the most ironic thing, firstly same could be said about the need to tunnel, if the killer just got better then they would not need to tunnel, also they mentions things like DS however the most used killers atm have high mobility and/or ranged so DS's value is very limited, especially with it being a once use thing. For the people that will mention bully squads as a excuse, I agree they are annoying however there isn't really many of them running around maybe around 1 in every 15 games, and the best part is most bully squads still lose the game because as your chasing a surv, you will have 1-2 more survs just following not doing gens and along as your not a complete fool, you will gain more value in the game as to the lost value the survs have from following.

P.s We got conviction we know, a perk that only works in conjunction with other perks and can only be used if the killer slugs.

I say end the game. It's no more fun to sit on gens and watch your one teammate get tunneled than it is to get tunneled yourself.

    Fight to the end.

How would you even manage to tunnel someone out at 5 gens? I mean if you simply run as soon as you see the killer (or you hear his terrorradius) you can already delay him by 20 seconds probably for his first hit, the second should also take at least 15-20 - so we are already at 35-40 seconds for the first down. Most of the time the first gen is doubled basically instantly at the start, so even with that chasetime that should be achievable basically always and for everyone, you are at least at 2/3 of the first gen - and you're not even hooked. If you don't run perfectly into this gen it should be done probably when the killer arrives or even before that.

You have to make a lot of mistakes to manage to not even complete a gen with 1 person dead already. If that actually happens to you, you won't win that match, but at least you get better what you bitterly need if that happened xD

    Fight to the end.

Where did I insult people? The last commend is only a little tease but also correct because it shouldn't happen - it actually does make sense to get chased more then, because you will get better at looping then.

The upper part is just factual - as long as your mates do the simple thing to double a gen (what almost everyone does at the start) and you simply run it's basically guaranteed that you complete at least 1 gen.

The only way why you wouldn't complete a gen at the start is a lot of mistakes from the survivors:

so people leave the gens even tho theres no reason to leave.

    They never started gens.

Pain-res + dms and they didn't let go before your hook.

Ps: it's pretty hard to even awnser your initial question because you didn't mention anything about the situation - no perks, no killer, no map, nothing. Without that the first question is simply what killers would even able to do that, because a trapper ain't. A nurse could make that happen with a lot of slugging, but then it's no tunneling anymore xD

the votes do enough. Half of people know what I am talking about. Truthfully, if you have never seen it then I don't think your vote is a true vote. So I'll even retract my statement to you and apologize. The votes are for those that dealt with it and have an answer. YOU are not wrong but in solo queue with 3 new people, for example, nothing about what is a legit that you said matters. Because the new people don't know and are still just learning. Or even better those games we all have where someone is upset at 5 because they hate the map or killer and are quitting. The scenario can happen because of numerous this. And most of those are outside of the control of one or two people who know what they are doing.
