New player survey asking about anti cheat
Make sure you hit this topic guys, and encourage others to do so. Might be a bit naive of me but if they are surveying for feedback about combatting cheating we need to make our discontent known so hopefully something happens. Not that we don't already to that on the forums (an awful lot recently) but every little helps. Would be nice to get those flagrant killer bot cheaters removed quicker

Killer bots get banned eventualy, worse are the subtles that use many things undercover like slightly speeding or perks and effects they dont have from anything in their loadout or wallhacks these are the worst scourge upon this game and people like this can be playing for years without any notice because not every killer or survivor has experience to see them or they dont use their cheats when someone is watching them.
Fact is that the anticheat shoul be way better than what we have now its just basicaly free pass game for cheaters currently almost with no drawback and report options in game are terrible and do almost nothing (from my personal experience) and reports with evidence are time consuming and their outcome is too somewhere in the stars.

I can't be the only one here that feels this is stupid, right? Why do we need a survey to express our disappoinment with cheating? Shouldn't that be a given? That's like the police sending a survey to a crime ridden area asking how the residents feel about crime. It's redundant.
'Maybe' it's just a way for them to get a number to share with their higher ups, show its a big deal? That's a stretch, obviously.3 -
Yeah, it does feel self-evident.
But it's corporate protocol these days to first ask the customer what they want, so they kmow what to say when they'll push whatever they had planned before regardless of the outcome.

The cheating situation is bad but based on the player count numbers, not many people seem to care enough to stop playing the game. I doubt BHVR will do anything about cheating unless the player numbers start to decline significantly.

At least being surveyed on it shows they're considering doing something. So we make sure the survey says they need to take action and we have a better chance thay they will actually do something.
There's already massive amounts of forum posts about it

At this point I feel like this games cheating is as bad as it is in tarkov. I just don’t trust anything anymore. I used to think it was a thing but it never felt as bad as it is now. Whether i’m playing survivor or killer theres always a few times a play session where something doesn’t feel right.
Last night i had a wesker try to gaslight me that he seen me with barbecue, problem is I’ve been running self preservation which has elusive now. When I explained that he just said gg ez and left.
I always knew survivors subtle cheated pretty often, but running self preservation with bond has revealed that subtle cheating it is even common among killers.
I hate using elusive perks and trying to play stealthy but this is how i’ve been finding more and more of them.

Yeah walls are very common I would say, I thought cheating was rare as these flying and endlesly screaming dwights but its much worse year by year way more people just running into corners without any perks or offerings for hatch even before the hatch is spawned which only wallhackers can see.

My main complaint is that rampant, unchecked cheating ruins the game's integrity and makes it feel pointless to play. The sheer amount of subtle cheating, paired with blatant cheating bots, makes this entire game feel like a waste of one's time. I run into cheating daily within this game, multiple times on NA East. Either there is subtle cheating with wallhacks, modified movement speeds, or perks like Hyperfocus and Dead Hard that can be automated. I honestly can't help but wonder if the devs care or even do anything when I encounter the same bot killer over the course of a month, selling their cheats in the chat window. Am I expected to start cheating as well since nobody at Behavior seems to care? Is the game being balanced with cheating in mind, or are these matches thrown out?

Honestly it's enough to make me want to turn off crossplay. I play on xbox and the majority of cheating is down to PC players since it's easier to access cheats on PC. if only it wouldn't absolutely tank my queue time. Or if I could opt to play with PlayStation players to mitigate the queue time.
I've always considered cheating at video games to be particularly pathetic. Like how does a win have value if you had absolutely no risk of losing?

Lol i had the exact same situation with a Wesker recently. Dude tried to hide his wallhacking behind BBQ but I had Self Preservation. It's fun testing them, and hiding in some total random spot and they still beeline to you. People cheat regardless of the role they play.

Just had the same with a nurse too. Knew where we were at all times, did have aura read perks but wasn't triggering my distortion. Still knew exactly where to teleport for the hit when I was hiding uninjured.

this game has always been a cheaters playground . I run into cheaters way to often for someone who doesn't even stream dbd . I can't imagine how bad it is for those who get targeted by cheaters.
