If killer gets any worse, dbd will need killer bots or to start handing out iri shards or something
As someone who mainly plays survivor, I feel like what I do hasn't changed a lot in the past couple of years. But when I started trying to play killer again after a couple years of not playing it, that role has changed an awful lot. For the worse. I mean, it's bad. Really bad. Everything from there geing five million extra pallets on the map to gens flying by if I take two extra seconds to chase somebody at the start of the match. Unless I'm running corrupt or an S tier killer every game, I don't have any idea how to exert enough map pressure to compensate for five million pallets, gen times or the current meta. I feel like many killer games are either being bullied by bagging survivors or the game crashing when it looks like I'm going to win.
On top of all that, I've noticed a distinct increase in survivor BM and stuff that looks suspiciously like lag switching/cheating. For instance, I can play survivor all day long and the game runs smoothly. Seldom crashing. But whenever I play killer the game uddenly becomes jittery and buggy as hell, especially during those games where it looks like I'm going to win, and then as I go to hook a survivor I suddenly can't and the whole game crashes. (Could be from anything, but it happening only on killer is either survivors cheating or an unfortunate killer sided server bug that adds to the stinkiness of the killer experience for me)
At this rate, I feel like the devs are gonna have to start tossing out some iri shards for playing a certain number of killer matches. Or start "sneaking in" some anonymous bot killers. Because, seriously, this role feels super miserable to play right now.

idk. I play ghoul and get whooped but then I bust out the no power krasue and suddenly Superior Anatomy is too OP.
I think the role is fine if you set goals for yourself or try to play a certain way

When I do matchmaking there seems to be more killers then survivors ratio wise.
Surviour matches in a minutiae, a lot of the time less then a min. unless im playing like 11pm-7am then its a bit longer.
When I que for killer im waiting 3-5 min a lot of the time. maybe because I play that role less but still longer.
Also in regards to crashing, if pc try driver updates? I play a lot and have a fairly low range pc and the game just full crashing is extremely rare happing like once every few months and tends to be because I'm not updating driver.
In regards to jittering in matches I do notice that sometimes but on the survivor side. you'll snap back or not move forward correctly even when your ping is fine so I don't think that issue is specific to the killer role.0 -
What killers do you play and what are your kill rates with them? Wondering if you’re doing significantly worse than average kill rate or if you’re doing better and it’s just a matter of expectations.

I wonder what would today's killer mains say few years back, let's say 2019, 2020 even.
As you said, you're survivior main and just started playing killer - you can't expect to win most of your games if you're not experienced.
Killer is the easiest it's have been.

Decouple yourself with the requirement to win. Sometimes you're having a bad game, sometimes the survivors are having a good game. Not much you can do.
A lot of BM is just the survivors being excited that they got a good play and showboating a bit. Sometimes it's toxic but a lot of the time it's just cheeky. They may also be trying to bait chase because there's a more vulnerable teammate they want to protect.
I'm not going to comment on the lag or suspected cheats because without evidence of this it's hard to form a conclusion. I was certain a killer I was against was somehow lagging me out as it kept happening at the worst times, but it turns out my VPN was still on.
Can you confirm which killers you're playing that struggle so much with new pallet density?2 -
Killer can be difficult if you aren't used to it, and if youve not played killer for a couple of years you will be hella rusty. As for survivors cheating when you are close to winning? We'd need to see videos of it. I know an awful lot of players who will cry "cheat" whenever they do badly, it's human nature. So when I see someone on here saying about suspecting cheats I always take it with a pinch of salt. I'm NOT saying there aren't cheaters, there definitely are, but they aren't popping up in every other game. I just can't credit that you are coming across cheaters mostly when you're about to win
In my experience as killer, ( i play killer/surv roughly equally) i haven't been having too much trouble, results have been good mostly, and I can't say I've seen anyone I think is cheating.
My advice is get more practice in, take the losses on the chin and work to improve. Focus on one or two killers to get good with, the killer is only as good as the player.
For example I main demo, he's C tier according to most major streamers and commentators. But i absolutely clap with him most games, I'vespent hours and hours playing him, getting good at my shreds and his portal traversal and off stealth capabilities lend themselves to my preferred tactics. if pallets are frustrating you then play killers with solid anti loop and or quick pallet removal. Getting good with a mid tier killer will bring much better results than casually playing an A/S tier killer occasionally.

If your goal is to be a clown and entertain 4 other persons - sure thing.
If your goal is to win a match or have some sort of fair and competitive experience - not today buddy.
As for killer bots - these should had been added for lots of reasons by devs. The only killer bots we have now are for 2v8 and those who teleport and insta-kill survivors for lulz.

sorry you’re doing badly.. but killer is the easiest it’s ever been. This sounds like a you problem ngl. There is a reason why streamers who play killer can get 100’s of player kill streaks. Killer is in a really good place right now. Possibly even too good.
