Please revert or tone down the recent Blight buff

For those unaware, there was a recent bug fix in 9.5.0 for blight that fixed an issue where he was unable to damage a survivor while performing a lunge attack and rush at the same time. This fix sounds fine on paper but what actually happened was they made his massive hitbox at the start of the lethal rush swing present throughout the entire lunge. Allowing blight players to damage you when they’ve already run past you instead of when they run next you.

i’ve played as and against blight a lot since this change and i’ve got to say this needs to be reverted asap or toned down. i’ve hit and downed survivors with the rush attack when they aren’t even on my screen when i press attack. and playing against it feels horrible because the blight can literally run past you but if you’re survivor model touching any part of him (including slightly behind him) you will get hit no matter what.

this change essentially made shoulder flicking (waiting until you touch the survivor’s model during the lethal rush to attack) stronger and more reliable which is the last thing blight needs right now.

    To be honest, I saw his video and I didn't notice any difference with shoulder flicks. It still works the same way as always.

    Shoulder flick is not a bug, it's how his hitbox works. By the way, the own BHV team already posted a shorts with Lilith explaining how to do it. And without it would be very easy to juke his hits.

    This. Before his fix, Blight had plenty of hits that wouldn't land because his hitbox was bugged. They removed the auto aim and its now working properly ever since his release. He already got some sizeable nerfs with 4.4m/s and losing tokens on pallet break, he doesn't need to get the Skull Merchant treatment.

    there are plenty of those hits btw, u can also gap hits from turning hit from left to right or right to left to cover bigger hitbox and avoid getting spinned when u normally shouldve missed. this vod is just a random youtube video i found to show an example, those type of hits should not be possible and it looks weird and unprofessional.

    So, it just looks weird. No statement from the developers on whether its intended or not. Also a LOT of things look weird and "unprofessional" in the game like chainsaws applying deep wound and not insta-downing when they normally would. Should we patch stuff like that out too? Also that's LITERALLY how blights hitbox was designed by the OG creator. It was supposed to be large at the start and narrow down to a cone.

    I just think there should be meaningful nerfs and not just "oh make a killer feel bad to play" as a lot of the blight nerfs usually suggest. 2 tokens lost of pallet break. Great start but this is not it. Literally a majority of the blight nerfs I see are fueled by anger and stress for the "I just don't want to see this character again in my life" than actually create a healthier solution.

    blight is a killer that once u know how to play him it dont take long to warm up and stomp teams, killers like huntress for example are really hard to master because u need to stay active for muscle memory, but blight is too simple, rush bump and get downs, once u get the hand of it the killer is giga busted. the nerfs he received are justified for sure, but there are more than 1 problem with this killer, when somebody dodge left when u swing to the right for example u should not be able to swing back to the left and get that hit, this needs to be fixed, and all those hits that are not in the front of the camera should not be hits, simple as that, ive got a lot of time on blight he was my main killer for a long time and the only people that barely even manage to beat me where the strongest top comp teams, and even beat them as well, this is why i moved away from blight and started to play billy, because blight was a free win killer and there was no sense of reward by winning with this killer, and dont get me wrong billy is op as well, but not as broken as blight. now blight seem to be very strong but in good spot, needs to change the bad hitboxes and all is good, also servers are really bad lately, and if hits were base on low ping instead of hight ping, dbd would be much greater game.
