So we ignored all survivor complaints about the zombies in 2v8 I see...
First they increased it to 4 zombies from 2…
and then they make no adjustments at all to them.
-Zombies give away locations of survivors.
-They ALWAYS know where someone is.
-They harass gens better than the killers do.
-There are only so many limited vaccines even though they can interrupt during chases.
So explain to me how a 6v8 killer x survivor is fair? It's not? Got it.
And yes, I know scouts can kill them with pallets and reset them.. but that alerts killers to where you are now doesn't it?

oh well, we need something to deal with 4x escapist class.
you guys complained about legion so killers need something else.

It’s a party mode in a party game… I don’t really see the issue with zombies being “too strong.”
If you want an actual challenge, ask BHVR for a ranked mode.-5 -
Sometimes it does feel a bit excessive when all of the zombies congregate around your gen, but it's also kinda fun to marshal all four zombies and then lead them on a conga line around the map.

Unfortunately as expected, your post will be downvoted into oblivion despite Nemesis and Oni being one of the most prevalent combos this 2v8.
But yes, Nemesis is not fair. Neither is Oni. Downvotes with no discussion just proves that killers don't want to work for a win.
2 -
So… we should ban Nemesis like we did with Legion? Because he is to strong with Nemesis?
We can go for Trapper Next, it is kinda unfair that he makes pallets useless
While we at it can we remove Wesker and Nurse too?
Why should killers be allowed to play in a team at all?
Thats not fair lets make it 1v8

pushing an "i win chase" button is surely hard work.
slow killers like Pyramid Head are persona non grata in 2v8 because of Escapist. even Nemesis is awful, but people are putting up with him for the slowdown.
-3 -
My issue with them is that their range is too wide. One can spawn literally right next to a gen. You run to another one, and it will show up there. Run to another, it follows you there too. You should be able to run out of range a little more easily. Also, if you need to kill it with a pallet, it needs at least 1-2 minutes before it respawns. I've been chased off by a fast respawn or even another one showing up. The fact they follow you around is just a bit too much passive pressure IMO.

Zombies are the least of this modes problems, I still feel like Oni is the most problematic.
4 -
Sure the zombies can be annoying but at least now there's a mini zombieoutbreak going on when Nemi is present.
I think if only Nemi would see the zombies but not the second killer would be an ok compensation. (With zombies giving away your location and Nemi not having high mobility)
Maybe you also have a fair point about the number of vaccines ... Vaccine vendingmachine taking a bit longer to cough up a vaccine than opening the box as solution?

In 2v8, Nemesis alone is not particularly strong against a team of survivors who have any ability to loop, are playing in a coordinated fashion, or stack escapists. He's basically a powerless, M1 killer unless you want to waste time building up mutation rates against a team that are blowing through gens for a whip that still doesn't hurt anyone on first hit.
Zombies are basically the main thing he has going for him. I mainly play as Nemesis in 2v8 and my personal experience has been that they can be hit or miss. I've had matches where I'm lucky and they spawn near gens where they can consistently push survivors off and others where they all spawn in a survivor dead zone and are just wandering around aimlessly. Either way I'm usually outperformed by any partner with a dash or blink for obvious reasons.

I have no issues at all with current version of Nemesis in 2v8. He was straight up garbage in previous versions and is now somewhat viable but definitely not OP. Zombies can easily be countered with flashlights or pallets but I often see survivors failing to use either of these counters.
-2 -
Well when other combos are simply just Nurse + blight you tend to see why those are played. Playing huntress and trapper for example is quite literally just baby sitting at that point. Every 2v8 game I've seen where the killers werent running the strongest was always a 6 out at the least.
1 -
I hate the zombies. I just had two matches in a row with being followed by zombies, interrupting fixing, healing, bringing the killer to me and the others and I hate when can only throw a pallet on them if there are any near or blind them. That is it. Even when killed, the usually spawn near survivors again. And when there's more than one in the same place, it's hell.
4 -
Do you want my genuine opinion? Yes, either nerf one of the best combos in the mode or ban nemesis and oni in 2v8. Zombies make the mode unfun. Oni makes the mode unfun.
Trying to slippery slope fallacy your way into keeping those killers in the mode is very disingenuous. There is a reason Nemesis and oni are picked far more than any other killers in 2v8. That reason is just something you don't want to accept.
1 -
Bro survivors got nothing but buffs in 2v8 since its inception.
-5 -
I think escapist is broken too, I never said don't nerf the class. But if your solution is to keep nemesis and oni broken, I'm not sure how escapist is even relevant. Nerf the broken things, that's all anyone is asking for.
4 -
I said nothing about survivor buffs. Very good whataboutism though!
6 -
What specifically do you think makes Nemesis and Oni strong as a combo that wouldn't apply to anyone and Oni. He's not a blood orb factory like Legion was. What specific dynamic between the 2 are you trying to argue exists here?
Also - are you really suggesting Nemesis or Oni are picked more than Wesker? I literally haven't seen a single 2v8 survivor match that didn't involve a Wesker since they un-killswitched him.
2 -
I feel like the 4 zombies are mostly fine. They are more of an additional challenge than actually opressively strong.
Though from what I've seen they sometimes tend to linger around hooks or sometimes even bug themselves into the hook cages, making unhooking an automatic trade. They should probably either trigger relocate after a certain time or just die when they are in the direct vicinity of a hook for too long
2 -
I do agree they are very frustrating, especially when there’s only a few gens left and the killers and zombies are both hovering around them. But I don’t think nemesis or the zombies are OP. Annoying, absolutely, there’s plenty in this mode that is. But I don’t think it’s comparable in any way to why legion was pulled.

The issue with Nemesis is that the zombies are a strong natural slowdown that bypasses the scaling difficulty (which isn't very strong to begin with). It reads as more of an exploit than anything else.
-5 -
Nemesis zombies are slowdown that somehow is on every gen at all times.
1 -
I’ll add a comment to my downvote. Nemesis is fine - he was useless trash with fewer zombies. I’ve escaped against him plenty of times. Zombies are easy to take care of with pallets everywhere and ability to rebuild pallets. I will agree that Oni is still busted in 2v8. He shouldn’t be able to have infinitely small turn radius and easily hug the tightest corners.
-1 -
The only thing that seems to be consistently proven is that a lot of survivor players want to push something off the table as soon as it interrupts their cakewalk.
1 -
Youre crying like killer is fair in 1v4. Killers have had to do nothing but adapt to every version of 2v8. Let us have a strong killer power dang. All you guys do is whine for nerfs. Its irritating because the devs listen to the loud majority of bad survivors. Theres evidence to prove this
-3 -
I’m pretty sure you have A ALOT OF PALLETS to kill the zombies on 2v8 and a class that can counter his zombies.
1 -
Honestly, I don't dislike Oni, but he really wasn't a good choice for 2v8.
Ideally, every killer should be in 2v8, but Oni should have been added only after they figure out the mode's balance.
3 -
That's doesn't have anything to do with Oni though.
It might feel like they're on all the gens at once but as someone who plays Nemesis and sees their auras I can attest that there are plenty of times where they're just meandering randomly around the map as well.
As a survivor I've seen situations where I'll kill a zombie with a pallet and then one crawls up out of the ground a couple of feet from the gen a meter away. While I recognize that as coincidence since I know how they work, I also acknowledge that it feels lame. Having experience from the other side though I know that's now how they always work.

Both can be true. On demand sprint burst is a problem AND having 4 zombies to patrol gens and give away locations is a problem. They should both be updated IMO.
1 -
Nemesis' zombies can be considered quite good slowdown, but I've found in over half of my matches that the zombies just don't provide great slowdown, but rather only tidbits of information. Theres also a factor at play that in some matches Nemesis' zombies will just spawn on top of rocks and just make that zombie unviable for the complete game. Basically, I'm trying to say that the zombie's potential for pressure is great, and sometimes they do pressure great, however the zombies with their bad ai and such do lead to them being horribly inconsistent in their value.

I've only ever seen the escapist class 4x I think once. People ignore that though. Also, unless you're playing in a SWF, how frequently are you sticking right by the other rando escapists on your team?
I do think that there should be a hot fix for the escapists, but as you pointed out, people will do a this for that instead of understanding that both can be a problem.

6v8 isn’t accurate to say. There slow as all get out and it takes 3 hits to down you from healthy.
We can’t compare zombies to the same strength as a killer by saying 6v8…

I would disagree. Oni was nerfed in the right way bringing him back in balance. He doesn’t have legion anymore to fuel him free endless blood anymore.
Nemesis himself though I agree with you.. Maybe 3 zombies instead of 4. Nemmy by himself is balanced. However if we are going to be fair and address killers we need to address survivors too. If we want to be punctually fair.
The escape class is very strong as we all know, it could use some fine tuning.
The scout class while not as strong is still quite strong. Lots of aura revealing, stealth but mostly remaking god pallets when the maps are filled with tons of pallets as is.
Generators - only 8 need to be done at 70 charges. They either need to make them either 90 charges each OR keep it at 70 but you should have to do 10.
Technically it should be 10 gens.
However is BHVR likely to do any of this? Probably not. It’s suppose to be wild, and imbalanced. It’s suppose to be survivor sided to incentivize more survivors to queue. We shall see what changes that make. Pretty disappointed with this last update of 2v8. They changed little to nothing for survivor or killer.

Oni is still not balanced. Removing every blood orb on the map when he enters power would make him balanced. Since there are two killers, it would not be hard to have excess blood around the map. Right now, the orbs are everywhere and once he gets started, it's impossible to shut him down. He doesn't need legion to make him S++++ tier when he's already S tier.
0 -
True. There are 2 killers. Maybe to make it balanced remove only HALF the orbs instead of all?

2v8 is busted AF for survs and they think they can complain about something XD.
Downvote me all you want. I don't care.3
