Freddy, ghoul and trickster

I can see Freddy being in 2 vs 8. He can control the map with his dream world, bring pressure, teleport and be undetectable when survivors are asleep. Also l, the ghoul can can apply chase and field pressure. Help with lack of mobility for killers that are slow. Ghoul can help with trickster.

Ghoul doesn't fit in 2v8, due to the same reason as why Legion didn't.
Getting that first hit, and applying deep wounds is WAY too easy.

Trickster on the other hand isn't nearly as offensive as Legion or Ghoul, and thus can work in 2v8.
Not exactly sure how he'd work in conjunction with Huntress, but I am sure the lockers could be different from the players' perspectives (huntress sees hatchets, and trickster sees knives).

Freddy.. I am not sure how the whole dream world mechanic would work, and how it would affect the second killer. How would the lullaby mechanic work if he was paired with Huntress?
I think Freddy is best left to 1v4

Freddy is never making it simply because the license holders seem to hate DBD

the hits are a non issue, ghoul does not have the same pressure that legion had. legions arguably better in 2v8.

the real point of contention would be the latch, that alone could probably make Slinger entirely redundant.

I'm sorry but it will be an issue, being able to injure easily is always a huge boon in 2v8, pair that with Oni for example we're back to square one.

If they want to test him, do it on PTB if anything, but he is one killer that would make me stop playing the mode for a while and I know many others too. The survey is going to be interesting, as a lot of killers probably want him but survivors don't want to see him.

That said if they fixed his pain points regarding the first hit among other things, I'd not have an issue with them. I'd rather they be fun to play against and as like Blight currently is.

nah. if any killer approaches the meta that is good at liberally injuring survivors, the survivor meta will adapt and start incorporating more medics.

we aren't in a medic meta so the class is kind of just just there as an afterthought. fill Escapist first then fill the rest. the easy injuries will naturally bring about more medic double heal resets. congrats on biting 5 people, now 2 of them clicked a button and they're full hp.

if people are playing medic, some killers may feel like playing Pyramid Head.

Legion could still be in the mode just need to change him to the other direction make his power more compact and shorter duration. Them just increasing everything was really the wrong direction to go with him. I made a suggestion of how to change him in the feedback the other day.

No the actual outcome would be an outcry on removing ghoul because majority hates him and Devs will listen and it will just be a repeat of legion. Oni is already on the verge of getting removed as is adding ghoul would just make things worse.

I agree the issue isnt free hit, its the animation lock that comes along with the free hit that would just lead to uncounterable situations where you go from healthy to down without even having control of you character.

At least with slinger you can dodge the shot to avoid the situation, plus he lacks mobility to leap around the map doing it over and over

Ghoul its a hitscan hit so he just gets it for free leading to downs for free. Only counter would be to avoid being seen by ghoul.

Except people mainly queue up in groups of 2 coz play while you wait, even if you ignore the fact deep wounds exist for some reason which you are doing and Oni insta downs basically voiding medic in the first place, "Expecting" stangers to play META is quite frank a bit too optimistic. Medic doesnt work through deep wounds.

This is a casual mode and a lot of people are going to be playing without much awareness of what is META.

This is completely misunderstanding the problem with Legion and also Ghoul.

Legion is weak in 1v4 because they can easily injure multiple survivors back-to-back, but cannot meaningfully follow up on those hits. If survivors spread out, they may even have trouble chaining hits to begin with. In 2v8 they become a support character for their ally, and there's so many survivors he can easily injure multiple people in a row and leave them injured for their ally to mop up.

Ghoul is basically the exact opposite. Ghoul in 1v4 is oppressive because he can so easily get the first hit and follow up on it. He cannot chain hits and he gets put into an animation lock after the first hit. 2v8 would actually balance out Ghoul. Especially with the number of pallets, since although he is a very strong killer, his weakness is pallet dense maps.

aye, you can't heal after the bite. I should clarify, I mention the medic because people see an overlap between ghoul and Legion, and people fear Ghoul would be a support and synergistic killer. We all know ghoul has an easy healthy to injured attack, but If ghoul wants to focus on just biting people that's where I feel the medic class will kick in. The mend timers are faster in 2v8, so that slowdown is much less effective at stopping the medics.

I know I'm a bit of a ghoul defender, but that's why I bring up concerns over what I think would be the real issue, his hold. Ghouls only true oppression in 2v8 would come from the 1v2 tag teaming due to the hold, the play style thats arguably 2v8s weakest killer strategy. I'm curious if ghoul could change that.

idk, everyone's quick to fill out the Escapist role. people know. I never get to play that class(fine by me)
