Freddy is useable but onry, unless you hahe sence for macro like onepumpwillie or you play against newer survivors you have no chance you are just m1 killer who can dissapear for moment (something spirit has weaker but does it passively) plus you can tp to tvs and thats it, you can counter bodyblocking but there isnt nothing good on her unless you have that great macro sence and you get condem fast or keep survivors getting for tapes (this slows game but counters your mobility and mori potencial), very weak killer and super hard/demanding for what she offers.

I dont main neither of them but freddy atleast is fun to play compare to sadako, she is just torture unless you get survivors that havent seen that killer through their whole DBD career.

I still play Onryo. Still do decently well as well it's just painful though. Pallet density screws this character because she's an M1 killer and that's that, like 6 pallets all chaining together is just impossible to deal with. The built in slowdown is really the only thing leading to kills and a pseudo hit and run style.

Genuinely if I could change one thing about this character, I don't understand WHY she still has a lullaby. It is the most useless function. A stealth killer, shouldn't have a lullaby. Her power already can be completely turned off by survivors, her map traversal isn't up to her, it's up to survivors on if they do TVs or not and even when you use your own power you get punished with a ridiculously long cooldown on the TV to turn back on.

She has no anti loop outside of trying some ridiculous mindgames with her intermittent invisibility.

Just remove the lullaby. I feel like it was less of a problem when people didn't have visible terror radius so it was much harder to listen out for, but now? The game literally just tells you straight up even if you CAN'T tell.

I used to play both quite often. Theyve both changed allot, in ways i didnt like.

With onryo when she came out everyone was saying she was weak but i really enjoyed the challenge of just on/off stealth playstyle, and was quite good at it. Never bothered with condemned as i saw it as a way of skipping the gameplay and losing hooks. Then they made her extremely spammy. Now every onryo ive seen spams tvs and barely ever hooks, which i find it extremely annoying in soloque. And i don't want to bother condemning people. So i've stopped playing her as i don't want to be seen as "another annoying tv spammer" even if im not spamming lol.

As for freddy i enjoyed the challenge of his lack of abilities as well and often just liked using the fake pallet addons as theyd always trick people. When they were doing the rework i was hoping he would go back to something like his first iteration which i really enjoyed back then. But instead it seemed to just make him the same but more tedious, removed the pallets being able to trick people as they are now just noticable bombs. And the bloodpools require an addon to be like before as the projectile feels more useless than doctor's shocks as they don't even prevent actions or injure. So i've only played him 1 time since the rework and lost horribly and haven't gone back.

    I’m still a Sadako main. ❤️

Just don’t like the kit she has now. It feels rigid.

Well Freddy is pretty boring, no offense to Freddy mains. He just doesn't have enough in his kit. Sadako is just too weak. People hating on my boy trapper, but I think he has great snowball potential. Sadako has almost nothing going on for herself.

yeah thats fair, im currently a skully main, so i can understand not liking a kit. however im gonna be honest Sadako mains are legit my fav people in this game, most chill gamers ive seen

You must be chill when you mainly play killer who will get most likely wrecked by survivors, thats why I respect highly merchant and trapper mains because going into the game with high chance that you will most likely loose or 1-2k at max even when you did everything right and other side made lot of mistakes is something that requires lot of will.

i have the mindset where as i play killer, i dont expect a 4k due to my main being one of the weakest, i consider getting even one kill a win for me personally and im happy with the result

Freddy has kinda richest kit since he was introduced into the game and sadako is only good against very new/bad survivors or in hands of someone who has incrediable game sence especialy on macro like this guy

if you lack this skill you wont get much from her especialy when its open map that isnt small tvs suck there a lot.

Understand that totally. Its so funny because that is so true. When I play Sadako, I am pretty relaxed. Chill…When I play Houndmaster I get into character! "FIND!!!" lol.

Onryo is just not a very satisfying or consistent Killer to play. Most of the matches you'll win as her are not because you played well, but because the Survivors just have no idea what they're supposed to do against her. The average Survivor doesn't handle side quests well, and when the stakes are life and death like Onryo's Condemned, a single bad player dooms the entire team and results in a boring, one-sided match.

On the flip side, if you get matched against a competent team, she's a nothing burger. Her kit is made up of various gimmicks that work well against inexperienced players, but are easily-countered by anyone knowledgeable. Intermittent invisibility mindgames don't work if the Survivors pre-run and pre-drop, her stealth is rendered obsolete by the Lullaby and visual heartbeat indicator, and her Condemned is easy to manage if you have reliable teammates that get in the tempo of disabling TVs as they turn on.

She sucks to play because of the reworks and everything is in the survivors hands

Long answer: In my experience a lot of Freddy players do not utilize his kit very well and do not think about the bigger picture when using teleport or neglect fake pallets, so they think he is mid and they drop him for someone with 1 power they can focus on mastering. Still overtuned clock cooldowns and immunity timers do not help as well. Sadako gets screwed over by pallet density, it feels like she needs 3 or 4 add-ons at once, and to play her even to a moderate success you need Megamind's sized brain. Why do that, when Blight or Billy exist?

Short answer: Both killers are macro based killers and those do not tend to be popular.
