Houndmaster QOL and Suggestions!!! :)

Miss Houndmaster is my favorite killer in the game. Day one purchase, legendary outfit, played her through every patch. When she clicks she feels unlike anything else and I genuinely love playing her. I am writing this because I really hope she is on the dev radar for some attention because she really deserves it!

QOL and Bugs:

There are quite a few bugs with Houndmaster that have been sitting around for a long time now and I really hope the team can dedicate some time to working through them because they genuinely affect the experience of playing her. On the QOL side I would love to see gen targeting with the Search Command made more reliable, something like a secondary lock on where you press the secondary power button while aimed near a generator and it snaps clean onto it, keeping the freeform drag path as an option alongside it. Houndsense also just needs to feel more meaningful than it currently does because right now it barely registers in most games. Even small basekit improvements like making scratch marks from Houndsense survivors persist longer or making blood pools more visible while the debuff is active would go a long way toward making it feel like something meaningful besides applying deep wounds.

I would also love to see the dog cosmetic decoupled from the outfit and tied to the weapon slot instead so you can swap out dogs independently. It opens up so much more creative freedom for future cosmetics and just makes sense for a killer where the dog is half the character.

Map and Realm:

A dedicated map and realm for Houndmaster would also be incredible. She is one of the few killers without her own and she absolutely deserves one especially with how interesting her lore is and the location of where she is from!

Addon Pass:

Her current addon pool is where I feel the most disappointment honestly. Most of it either does too little to feel meaningful, triggers at completely the wrong moment, or just has no real connection to how her kit actually plays. Some of the numbers are so small they are genuinely invisible in a match(Knotted Rope :/ ). I put together a full rework concept for most of her addons and some of these are a little out there but I leaned into fun. I hope at least a few of these sound interesting!

Common

Young Coconut (Unchanged) - Increases The Dog's Chase speed by 5%

Trainer's Book (Unchanged) - Increases Houndsense duration by 35%.

Sticky Pitch (Reworked) - The Houndmaster retains her Search Path speed bonus for 2.5 seconds after leaving the path before it decays

Smoked Snapper (Reworked) -Moved to Common. After exiting Chase Redirect, Killer Instinct lingers for 3 seconds.

Uncommon

Creature's Bone (Reworked) - Moved to uncommon. When The Dog is stunned, The Houndmaster's Basic Attack lunge distance increases by 25% for 15 seconds. Deactivates after a successful hit

Barley Meal (Unchanged) - Increases Initial Chase Path distance by 20%

Knotted Rope (Reworked) - While a Survivor is grabbed by The Dog, The Houndmaster gains a 3% Haste Status Effect

Belaying Pins (Reworked) - Survivors affected by Houndsense cannot hear The Dog's Lullaby for the duration.

Waterskin (Unchanged) - Moved to Uncommon. Increases Redirected Chase Path distance by 20%.

Rare

Spyglass (Reworked) - Moved to Rare. While walking along the Search Path, Houndsense Survivors within 12 meters have their Auras revealed

Unfinished Map (Unchanged)-Survivors affected by Houndsense suffer the Exhausted Status Effect for 15 seconds

Training Bell (Reworked) - When The Dog releases a grabbed Survivor without injury, the released Survivor's Aura is revealed for 4 seconds and the rescuer's Aura for 8 seconds. Increases rescue time by 1 second.

Torn Novel (Reworked) - Moved to Rare. Chase Command cannot be redirected. Dog Chase speed increases by 50% and Chase Path distance doubles

Fatty Meat (Reworked) - The first rushed action performed by a Survivor affected by Houndsense causes them to scream and reveals their Aura for 2 seconds.

Very Rare

Ship Figurehead (Reworked) - Survivors affected by Houndsense are also afflicted with the Blind Status Effect for the duration. Increases the time required to rescue a grabbed Survivor by 1 second

Marlinspike (Unchanged) - Survivors within 20 meters of a Survivor is grabbed by the dog become afflicted with Houndsense.

Leather Harness (Reworked) - The Dog's Chase speed increases by 5% per Survivor currently affected by Houndsense, up to a maximum of 20%

Gunpowder Tin (Unchanged) - Increases the Action speeds for Breaking Breakable Walls, Breaking Pallets and Damaging Generators by 30% for 20 seconds after a Survivor becomes affected by Houndsense

Iridescent

Iridescent Wheel Handle (Buffed) - All original effects kept. While Undetectable from this Addon, The Dog's Lullaby is also suppressed

Spiked Collar (Reworked) - Moved to Iridescent. Chase Command can be redirected twice. 1 second delay before the second redirect becomes available

TLDR: Houndmaster is my favourite killer and I really hope the devs see this. She has a bunch of bugs that have been around way too long, her Houndsense needs to feel more meaningful, gen targeting with the Search Command needs to be more reliable, dog skins should be tied to the weapon slot, and her addon pool desperately needs a pass. I put together rework concepts for most of her addons with the goal of making every slot feel worth using and giving her kit more identity. Some ideas are a little out there but they come from a place of genuinely loving the character and wanting her to reach her potential. I really hope the dev team takes some of this on board, even small changes would mean a lot to the players who main her. She deserves the attention.
