what killer needs a rework the most?
what killer needs a rework the most if any even do? my friend personally says Legion

Ghostface.

Hag needs changes not total rework but adjusting her power as she is the oldest killer that has not got any changes for a long time.

Skully

I second Hag.
She is a relic of old Dbd and one of the least played killers along side Twins. Plus that change they made of letting survivors just wipe her traps away was a massive nerf.

Nurse.
She's never been a healthy creation and has only been left in the game as is out of fear of backlash. With a skill ceiling that amounts to guessing correctly, your opponents will go down no matter what they do. Considering how subtle cheating has become increasingly common, I feel a rework would benefit this killer if that is never to be addressed.6 -
Nurse is by far the worst designed killer in current DbD.

really? why? i know hes weak but his kit seems fun

legions the best all round killer i think they're fine. I liked them back when they were considered the weakest killer so I find wanting to rework them crazy.
id like Myers to just go away. i don't care how.

Ghoul. I still can't believe that mess was released to live servers.

Deffinitely she was created for one purpose and that was to counter infinite loops but this is gone nowdays.

Nurse

I'd say killers for whom simple number buffs wont make them keep up with survivors.
So choose some of the myriad killers below the border A/S tier.

I might be controversial in saying this but I don't think any of the current Killers in the game are in desperate need of a rework at the moment.
While I do think BHVR can nail a rework (Freddy is a lot better than he was, imo) it's just as likely that a reworked Killer loses too much of what made them appealing to players in the first place. I can't stand what they did to Myers and post 8.0.0, Chucky feels like half the Killer he was supposed to be to me. I live in fear of what a potential Legion rework would do to my enjoyment of them.
If I had to choose one I guess maybe Skull Merchant might need looking at again because her power is still bewilderingly complex to understand and applies too many effects (I've lost track of how she works these days as she's had so many changes at this point). I personally don't like that Haste is part of her kit because there's no real feedback to Survivors when it's in active effect (unlike Clown's Yellow bottles). Still, I'm not sure her mains would appreciate any dramatic changes to the way the Killer works and I imagine they probably just want her to be a bit stronger than she currently is. It might be better to leave her mostly as she is.

Careful of the word "Rework" around here. Its a dangerous word. xD

Skull Merchant. she's needed one ever since BHVR took her to the back of the woods like lassie. SM released was balanced, 2.0 was her best version but not OP, and her last nerf destroyed her

i realized judging by how many downvotes i see😥
i just wanted to know thats all

Not entirely, shift tech still exists and can create infinites against many different killers (only the low tier ones of course, nurse/blight/spirit/ghoul never care about these things)
2 -
When they gutted her she was already not very good, people just hated her because they had PTSD over the 3 gen meta with her. I really don't understand why they did that. And i am committed to not spending money on this game until they fix that.

BHVR's Reworks takes years to do. They either work out but in most cases dont.

People always say Nurse and Legion (for good reason), but imo the issue there is that you can't meaningfully rework them without just full on reinventing their power. Like back to the drawing board type stuff, because they are fundamentally broken.
And that sounds fine to me, but you pretty much risk alienating all the players who have mained them for years. Like Skull Merchant, exept there are people who actually care about Nurse and Legion.*
Which brings me to my answer, which is Skull Merchant. Because she is all but a dead killer, they can get away with a total reinvention. I am disappointed they seemingly abandoned their proposed overhaul; not because I liked it particularly, but because the way they have left her is just another useless half measure.
If you're gonna do it, do it.
Other candidates for me would be Ghostface and Sadako, the latter in particular, because I think she's only a tweak or two from being good. And Ghostface's reveal mechanic is a joke.
*I am partially joking, I know trash canning Skully has been rough for her mains, but the reality is that there just aren't many of you.1 -
In terms of killers needing complete reworks its probably Skull merchant.
There are several killers that need a lot of love, not necessarily a total rework, but definitely a giant pass to make them more interesting and that list is very large, but the big one there i would say would be Hag. If anything i think just make her 115 and make it so her traps don't work and have penalties around hooks like other killers have for their powers (like xenomorph coming out of the thing way slower for example). And then giving her a solid addon pass and numbers tweaks.

Sadako is the killer that most desperately needs a rework. All she has going for her is teleporting, which isn't that great. I honestly feel that she's the weakest killer in the game. It's definitely between her and Skull Merchant for title of the worst.

as a Skully main (no offense taken dw) i do think we could use some stuff, i get absolutely smashed by random surviviors who arent in SWFs but are still good, its hard to compete at most levels. we could use some buffs and a complete overhaul lol

Wasn't she already reworked? Now that she can teleport spam all you need with her is a relatively compact map like midwich or gideons and you're able to stack condemned constantly on people and get the mini mori more easily. All you need to do is spot a surv running a tape across the map and you hook them to lock in condemned.
She's much better than she was, and all you need is one surv to slip up and you get an early mori and the game is basically won

Not sure if you saw it when I posted it but i made a thread about rebalancing nurse, not by reworking her power but by adding a built in counter to it like you see with xenomorph, wesker, nemesis etc. Be interested to hear your thoughts on it.
But yh nurse definitely, she's a relic from when they didn't know how to balance the game right. All they've really done is lock her out of basic hit perks and buff her by removing the lightburn mechanic. (Idk why they felt the need to do that)
Other candidates would be skull merchant and maybe trapper. Both super weak now, and trapper is literally the game's posterboy, needs a bit of love.

good lord lol
not gonna lie, wasnt ready for that XD

To answer your thread though! :)
Trapper because he’s so map‑RNG and setup dependent that half the time you’re just disarming your own sadness off the ground or collecting traps but you can only carry 2….
Sadako also needs something, she’s like “I slowly walk and hope you’re stupid,” and Skull Merchant is just… zoning simulator, she turns the whole match into homework. I’d put Merchant above Sadako and The Crap Trap personally, she’s that bad. 😭

The counterplay for Sadako is extremely easy. Just keep the TV next to your gen off. The problem with Midwitch and some other maps is that TVs are sometimes on the other floor.
That said not many survivor apparently know the counterplay. Its really easy to get moria against the average team. And good Sadakos get high winstreaks and performed well in the last Hens-showcase.

I just wish there was a viable way to make countering her power to apply decent enough pressure that it was actually a choice survivors had to make. Make it take longer or something. It'd make her viable against survivors that know how she works, as them denying power would net you more time to M1 chase, but make her even more a noobstomper by having an even more significant knowledge check to stop her running wild with condemend. Fundamental design issue.
The only positive I had in my 7 or so trials I ran with her was the fact that I knew where the survivors were, because it was wherever I couldn't teleport to.
I like that she has a unique power with a different approach to achieving a win. I dislike that it feels very much like the survivors decision whether you get to engage with that or not, and there's no compensation for her if they say nuh uh.0 -
Oh how I miss Lightburn being a thing.
I wish it was more built upon instead of being removed2 -
I know how to counterplay her. But there always seems to be one oxygen waster every match who never uses tapes and just gets morid at 4 gens

Same, gave her a unique counterplay. Where as now beyond mind gaming there isn't much you can do
1 -
Yh classic solo que. Imo the main problem is not the missing info, its simply that you get bad players if you play with randoms.
Sometimes they are not even that bad gameplay wise, but they still make game-ending decisions. Like playing aggro on deadhook. But there is no way of fixing that.
