I think the stream is cool, and we are not entitled to anything
When this was announced, we were not given any information. We were not told what it was or that we were guaranteed anything.
In other words, if you're upset about this, just remember that we are owed absolutely nothing. They're committed to this and I think that gives me more faith in how seriously they're taking this, rather than a boring normal stream.
What ever happened to wanting more interesting things from this game? Better reveals, better clues, more cryptic videos and even streams like this. If the payoff is worth it, then there is no reason to complain.

They should have been more clear that this wasn't going to be a reveal stream or anniversary stream. That's my only problem with it.
People likely stayed up late/woke up early/cleared their schedules for this. I definitely planned my day around it.
Actually I know Otzdarva did at least, poor guy stayed up until 4:00 his time.

Largely I agree, and I think it's been pretty interesting listening out for clues so far.
To build on your position though, I'd like to point out there's a difference between being personally disappointed and there actually being something wrong. It's okay to just personally not enjoy something without it being worth getting this worked up over.
Sometimes a thing just doesn't vibe with you and that's fine.

A combination of things is causing this to be a horrible drop
- Different streaming time then normal, causing most of the world to change their schedules for something that have a certain start time, only to have this vague longform stream.
- Not giving anything information about length of stream. I saw thread saying its going to be a 13 hours, they could of done stuff leading up to it such as "tune in for the long haul for the live camera feed" I assume there would be little to no drama if this simple thing was done in the led up.
- Posting a much more interesting teaser on twitter after people where watching the cabin for a hour not realizing what stream is meant to be.
- on top of this I was unsure if it was pre stream screen or the actual thing at the start. others did as well.8 -
If this was just a 1 hour thing I would have agreed but doing this for literally 13 hours where everyone has just given up and went to bed and is going to miss all the hints their so committed to doing is just a bad idea and overkill

Yeah, at the very least I find it amusing lol fact is, no one has to watch it. The exciting bits will be posted online asap, and every hour they're putting up a teaser on social media. No one has to sit and watch this.

THIS is your bar for better reveals, better clues, and cryptic videos??? The bar is in the Mariana trench huh… just wow.
No wonder companies have started to throw anything and everything at their paying customers, and fully expecting to get away with it because people are eating everything up and saying "thank you for giving us less" LMFAO

Watching the paint dry is what you enjoy?

This truth hurts a lot of these simpletons 🤣 Your comment is the most intelligent I read all month so far no joke.

You're delusional. Were entitled to a night of sleep and they ruined that by scheduling the stream so late. They know where the bulk of their playerbase is and they made us stay up to a ridiculous hour if we wanted to watch the reveal like, only for us to instead watch......a cabin. This is the stupidest reveal they've ever done. It's not thematic or some other idiotic thing, it's just stupid. It's not worth waiting for.

I think that OP most probably is meaning well with their post, because it seems like they still trust companies/BHVR, and are taking things at face value. That being said, the Devs could've done the very same stream but with a different title like "Long CCTV footage of", "Long mysterious stream", or any other title that would've let us know the stream was going to be a long one, and shown their community and our time a bit more respect.
That is not to say that I don't fully understand that everyone could leave the stream at any given time, but it's the blatant disregard and assumption that we will accept anything and go 'thank you' that is bothersome. Especially this coming after the news around PS5, and what other (gaming) companies have done and are doing, plus the growing usage of sleazy tactics against paying customers. It's tone-deaf, and frankly comes across like they're laying groundwork and trying to change people's attitude into accepting mediocrity and less, even though we're all paying customers here. So I genuinely hope that this isn't a preset for such behaviour/actions (from the Devs/BHVR) in the future.-2 -
The reason that BHVR treats their customers like this today is because some of them keep their posture too low.
