Averaging 2 minute games.
I main houndmaster.
I understand that some people will read the first line of this discussion and understand the title. BHVR is not great at showing much love to houndmaster, however, on average today my games have been a grand total of 2-3 minutes long. I rotate my perks and play the game as intended and don't scum. NOTHING is helping. Last month I was iri 1 averaging at least 6/10 4k's
Should I utilising "toxic strats"? Do I bring perks that demolish gen speed?? I can't understand how survivor mains find it fun to cue for three minutes and be done in two?? And they consistently T-Bag at exit despite me (sometimes) not even encountering them once because the game is over in TWO minutes.
Any advice would be helpful.

I'm assuming you have some footage of your killer games lasting 2 minutes that we can analyze?

Honestly this is kind of hard to believe. Can you record a few of your matches and post here? At least the people can see what youโre doing wrong and offer some helpful advice.

sub 3 minutes beggars belief, even if the survivors were speedrunning with no killer present thatd be an impressive time

Really? 2 minutes? Killer is pretty hard right now, yes, but last I checked the world record for fastest escape was 2 minutes and 26 seconds.
If survivors are consistently beating the world record escape time against you, that may be an issue on your end.
At the same time though you said you 4k 6/10 matches? That means you achieve total victory in the majority of games. Unless the other 4/10 matches are 0ks, that's not a bad win rate.

6/10 wins is consistent with what the devs want and balance around. So yeah, if you want better than that then it'll be more challenging as you'll be going against more experienced players. That's the way the game is designed to play out.

Honestly if matches where legit under 2 mins people where most likely hacking because I'm pretty sure math don't math unless all 4 survivors are doing different gens right from the start and are never pressured by the killer. that would be roughly 90 secs (give or take depending on items and perks) for 4 gens then 30-60 secs to do last one, but again this is with no pressure from the killer.
Fastest I've seen games go are around the 5-6 min mark but 2 mins seems so short it would most likely be hacking if legitimately that fast.1 -
Experience comes with time. Houndmaster is a hard killer to master and have good results with.
Feels like your hidden mmr increased, that's why you might be struggling.
I use mostly gen perks when I play HM - POP, Eruption, Corrupt and Pain Res.
This build mostly gives you time to do all the chases.When you get some more experience with her I would reccomend pain res + turn back the clock + save the best for last + rapid or sloppy :)
Houndmaster gets a lot of information - when you send the snug people's terror instinct shows if they are in 16m range - this gives some free hits, people aren't aware of this.
Prefiring snug at shack is amazing. Houndmaster can win a lot of chases quickly at shack.
Fake your power - people make mistakes because of it.
Don't use snug on ramps, he gets bugged.
You mostly don't need to break pallets.
If survivior break free from snug they get 10% speed penality for 5 seconds.
You can catch the survivior, break the pallet or kick the gens and hit him immidiately when he breaks free from snug.
I abuse this. Especially good tactic with save the best + rapid.If survivior camps the pallet, just send snug and break the pallet. Survivior gets 10% speed penality even if he breaks free from snug by the pallet stun.

Could be cheater I got one yesterday and one noob who team with him with steam profile. They have tools to get out fast or make gens fast like that one 99 all gens on the map but luckily I had billy and he sucked while two girls help me with him by bodyblocking. Sometimes theres still hope but on other hand thres lot of teamers that go along with cheater, to my surprise its was sable with meg so it was rare moment.
