Fixing Krasue
Krasue is the most "oh yeah they exist" killer BHVR has ever made. It's pretty clear whatever popularity she had was from her being borderline S tier on release and not a lot of people actually enjoy her gameplay. Granted I just bought her and I actually do kinda enjoy her in the same way I enjoy Wraith. She's not the most complex killer by a long shot but she feels like a killer that rewards you for mastering the basics of DBD and I think that's nice.
It's clear number tweaks are probably not the answer here considering the Krasue is in danger of breaking balance with the slightest changes in those. So the answer is maybe a mini rework? The mushrooms don't really do much anymore considering hooking an infected survivor and then moving to the next is ways the correct answer and hooking now gets rid of the infection so maybe BHVR could do something with those? Or give body form more to do since rn it just exists to break pallets and infect people so you can use your actual power.
So how would you fix Krasue? Also for the record I don't think she's bad just forgettable which is a shame for such a recent release.

Balance-wise she's basically fine now. She has an obnoxious synergy with Dissolution that can make her feel really unpleasant to play against akin to Iri Button/Enduring/Spirit Fury Legion, but she's not overpowered. Gameplay and aesthetic wise she has issues that are core to her design and unfixable.
- She is the killer who is the most badly impacted by altruism in the entire game. Survivors running in to bodyblock for their allies are devastating to her.
- Having to swap between her two modes is slow and annoying, compounding issue 1.
- She might be one of the worst tunnelers in the game after her balance adjustments, which is technically not a bad thing for the health of the game, but it does mean she doesn't have that fall-back option to gamble on when she's losing other killers do.
- Trying to infect survivors feels really weird. Trying to hit them directly is shockingly strict by DBD standards, which makes it much more consistent to ricochet it off the wall and let auto-aim handle it, except that sometimes it just splashes in a direction you didn't expect.
- Her head attack is one of the strangest feeling attacks in the entire game. It's so slippery. You think it would work like a normal lunge, but it doesn't. Yet it's also not particularly hard to execute once you get a feel for it, reducing the satisfaction of mastering her skill expression akin to someone like Blight or Wesker.
- Aesthetic wise, I don't think most people want to play as a normal looking woman whose alternate form is a floating head with her organs hanging out.
- Origin-wise, she is based on an obscure Asian monster which likely a lot of people in the US and EU don't know anything about. Seeing Krasue in DBD might be their first exposure to it. The only reason I knew about it prior to her appearance in this game is because I had just finished running the Asian horror-themed Pathfinder 2nd Edition adventure Season of Ghosts for my weekly TTRPG group which happened to feature one of these as an encounter, though it was called a Penanggalan in that (as far as I can tell, almost the same monster, just slight differences). So she doesn't have a big draw when people could instead choose to play as a bunch of famous horror characters, or pastiches of more recognizable horror tropes and monsters.
Basically I don't think she needs anything. She is what she is, she's balanced, she has her fans, it's fine for there to be niche killers in a roster this big. I like her, I dust her off every so often to play a few matches, but she's not one of my mains and I think that's fine.

She is a killer that has nothing unique to bring to the table.
I watched an interesting Pixel Bush video some time ago, and he had a solid idea for a rework.
Another issue is that all 3 of her perks suck. That is yet another turn-off point, because some people (like me) also evaluate how good the perks are before buying. Her hex is one of, if not THE worst in the game, Ravenous has the old Grim Embrace problem, and Wandering Eye is riddled with conditions.
So, all she has are her (frankly amazing) looks and lore. But, you can look at her in the store and read her lore without owning her, so.…

The individual elements of Krasue are really good, but the way they converge is where a lot of the weirdness and awkwardness come in. The infection ability is decent (I'm an Unknown enjoyer so bouncing her shots off geometry is always going to appeal) and flying around the map at high speed is really fun. I don't even mind the loop of infect > M1 > head form > whip > profit. But the infection mechanic is very strange and frankly I'm not sure why it has the additional stages it does when it almost never progresses that far. Additionally, the organ whip is necessarily clunky because it was too strong when it wasn't, but is extremely easily nullified by coordination on the Survivor side, making Krasue extremely hard to play against even half-decent SWFs. And finally, most of her add-ons are not very useful and only affect her head form's flight, which is the element of her kit that needs the least alteration.
I'd put her in the same area as Vecna 2: The First But Not Actually, where she is technically very complex and in the right hands can be very powerful, but that same complexity also has an extremely high skill floor and puts off a lot of potential players. Given that she's not actually weak at a statistical level but just very weird and unpopular I don't think she's going to see any changes any time soon. There are unfortunately far too many things for the devs to address before we reach 'niche Killers who while not necessarily weak could use a polish and tune up' and I don't think Krasue's close to the front of even that particular queue given the state of Houndmaster, Pinhead and Twins.

not gonna lie, I hope they delete her so nobody thinks to ask for Dissolution to be reworked. it seems nobody wants to play this killer without it.
sure, I don't play Legion without it either but the difference is that I don't need it and I can play without it but Krasue takes it to fix some kind of fundamental issue with their power.

I second this. Unforunately. Her design just isn't it. Infect. Dash. Infect. Dash.
