Revert Map Offering Nerf

As a solo queuer, it isn't right. For years they were great for playing new maps you haven't got a feel for. I've played Trickster's map once since its been out. This is terrible. I don't understand why they were nerfed when there was a literal offering to counter all map offerings.

You don't know when a map offering is going to be played so "just run sac ward every match" is kinda of ridiculous. And guaranteeing a map that was great for you is really stupid.

Tbh I think there isnt achievement for nee maps last one was for twd map.
Times where offerings were guarantee map were super boring for me in both roles it was just same 5-7 maps like erie, badham, gideon, garden of not joy maps like these its get boring even as survivor even when these are to your advantage and few times some killers map like lampkin lane where there were like 10 pallets before they reworked it and short time after it had to go due to license issue.

Very fun times indeed just same maps on and on maybe they could buff maps but dont make them stack and dont go above like 35-40% chance which is great cap I think from now current 20%.Maps were mostly survivor sided part because killer can run only one offrering and even with sac ward he just had to run it to have chance to not be put into survivor sided map.

What is stupid is ruining it for everybody because someone picked certain maps u didnt like. Congrats now you have no choice but face the chance of playing those maps because NOW YOU cant use a map offering.

I don't think they should be guaranteed but the percentage it does give as a chance should be increased.

I think its 20% at the moment (wiki not updated and google leading to reddit and forums) would increase it to a 40% chance, if other map offerings are played should decrease the chance down to 20% (all 5 bring map offerings so all 5 maps would have 20% chance) non stacking as they are now.

No map offerings, that was a broken system. They should just keep the map showcase queue whenever we dont have an active event, with maybe only the newer/popular maps so we dont have to wait months for a certain map to pop up

Personaly if they increase it to 40% I think its good change but they shouldnt stack because they will be then survivor sided due to killer having no ability to stack offerings.
Deffinitely it shouldnt be guarantee map like before because I believe even devs had data for most used maps and I believe it were the same ones which backed map offering nerf.

From my personal experience I played on both roles 90% of time same survivor sided maps and it was realy obnoxious to deal with as either role, killer sweats naturaly because he thinks its swf with a plan and then its not so fun for both sides.

map offerings wouldn't be an issue if maps were all equally balanced, but they're not. Nobody was using them just to go to the most fair maps for both sides: it was Nurses with full aura builds taking you to Midwich or SWFs taking you to Eyrie of Crows and Badham. More recently DBD introduced a Map Showcase queue when a new map is released (they did one for Trickster's Delusion btw) and they're currently running one rotating through all of the realms for the anniversary, so you'll still probably have a chance. If it's really bothering you, you could also run a custom game with bots to fully explore a given map at your own pace.

You could fix that issue and make it so killer offering is always 40% but then survivors are diminishing based on how many where used (eg 2 different map offerings on survivor side go to 20% but if its the same offering or only one used it would stay at 40%)

I used to use Macmillan offering a lot because I thought it was the most balanced realm back a few years ago.

A big problem with map offerings was the stale use of it.

Maps weren´t used for the sake of "I havent seen this map such a long time there were used to get a huge advantage.

Most of the time you were sent to eoc or another strong survivor map since the cards where stacked against you. (Short example 4 Survivors bring 4 strong different survivor maps vs 1 Killer brings a strong map for his killer and the odds are 4to1 thats not good design)

But the huge problem you can see right now it the following. Even without map offerings many players, survivor and killer are annoyed that it seems like that every month there are only 5 maps in the rotation. This feeling is the biggest clue how it has felt for many players to play all night on the same maps.

Map offerings were a poison to this game and I’m glad they are effectively gone. Looks like most others agree.

People almost universally agreed that map offerings guaranteeing the map was not healthy. There are very few like you that think the opposite and a few that think about the achievements which Is a little stupid yes but way healthier for the game for map offerings to not guarantee the map.
