Did the Entity pull Jason into the Fog, or did he just show up?
So the common interpretation of Jason's backstory that I'm hearing is that Jason had been hunting around Greenville, encountered the Unknown out in the woods, kicked the crap out of him and was then pulled into the Fog because he seemingly impressed The Entity.
However, an alternative interpretation is that Jason actually shows up in the Fog uninvited during a Trial where the Unknown was the Killer. He beats The Unknown to a pulp and then stalks off in search of more victims, eventually encountering one of the (unfortunate) Survivors.
Which seems right to you?

I would go with the former explanation. Jason ran into the Unknown in the woods, then gets taken after he beats the tar out of Unknown, specifically here:
Something twitches in the puddle, as if thin threads of muscle
twine back together. The Slasher looks around. The mist that permeates
this forest turns black. In the gloom, he glimpses visions of skittish, fearful people
roaming the forests. He storms through the dark cloud, wisps parting to
reveal a young woman, olive skinned, scarf around her neck. Her eyes
widen in terror. He swings his machete.A point of evidence: Jason found Unknown inside a tent, alongside some suppllies like rope and hacksaw. While Survivors can probably make use of more supplies in lore than we see ingame, that stuff seems too handy IMO for The Entity to actively allow into a Trial.
This naturally poses an odd question: What's Unknown doing outside the Trials? Is this a prequel to it being taken? Is this an alternate universe where Unknown got bodied and Jason got taken instead? Does The Entity let Unknown out for walkies?

The Unknown hates the entity so he took a unpaid vacation

Ny theory is that the Unknown is that one thag helps the entity pull people into the fog

My personal assumption is that this would be a different universe and hence a different version of unknown, as it's been established that there are multiple worlds with slightly different versions of characters we know, like king Dwight. The alternative being that Jason simply got taken before the unknown in canon just not in release timeline, which works but just doesn't feel right imo. It would be funny if unknown could appear and disappear out of the realm like Myers did though
