Welp….
Jason gets nerfed/sided graded when he’s by no means S tier and cross examination is heading to live with 0 changes.
I’m at a loss for words.
With no other balance changes, once the honeymoon phase of this chapter is up it’s probably gonna be very boring for a while. So much for the big anniversary, hopefully next year will better with the community grimoire chapter.
IMPORTANT EDIT: it seems the they’re are addressing the survivor perks later when the survivor gets added, there’s hope!

Cross Examination is just too strong

I like it in concept, I just wish it didn’t have to power creep every other chase stealth perk.
On top getting the strongest effect next to endurance for (basically) free

We have not published anything regarding the Survivor at this time as we are only addressing what is going PTB to Live for The Slasher. We will communicate more information about The Survivor and the perks when the information is available.

thank goodness

I hear the frustration though, and we will share all the relevant feedback from this thread with the team.

so like do we know this survivors name or did we get 3 random perks before the survivor
0 -
We don’t know the name. Its just been stated that they will be original and not licensed and later they have shown a short teaser of a motorbike with an invitation that is very likely driven by the survivor

More information is coming! We have not revealed anything but the perks for testing.

so another biker like Yui… interesting

maybe it’ll be someone from yui’s biker circle?
I don’t know her lore super well I know she’s a biker but idk whether she’s solitary or has friends.

I don't see many meaningful changes here. The coroner's coffee change is the biggest nerf but it was easily his strongest add-on. His Omnipresent evil ability was way too good for camping and tunneling so the increase to the anti-camp system is a good change. The boat motor change is nice and might make it an actually useful add-on. The Deputy's badge change is a big buff for any player that has their macro down and didn't need the original effect.

I don’t think he really needed any changes. Maybe a few bug fixes, but nothing balance related.
He was a strong, but counterable killer and now…low a, maybe high b. His chase got nerfed, but the mobility will still be good at least. And I do like that reworked addon.1 -
He'll be fine, he has good 1v1 and good 1v4 thanks to his mobility, there are many killers with less options than he has.
I'm really looking forward to playing as him and against him. The haste was a bit high anyways on the addon so I'm not surprised that got changed.-3 -
The anticamp change will literally make him lose chases on multifloor maps if the survivor decides to enter the 16 meter range and Jason tries to cut them off and getting the anti-camp animation debuff. Before it was manageable even if annoying to experience but now it will legitimately lose chases.
