if holding some one on the ground for 4 minutes not doing 1/3 of your role as killer and getting hooks then tea bagging at the exit gates and pallets shouldnt be considered toxic.

Two totally different things that are not comparable in anyway. If you would compare killers humping downed survivors and t-bagging you would have a comparision.

These are totally different. Tbagging is goofy but doesn't stop the killer from playing or help the survivor win. If anything, it sometimes gets survivors killed.

This exactly, it's why I avoid it on killer because there's nothing in survivors that make it where I can't play. The only thing that remotely came close was Made for This and that only effected slower killers anyone with speed was fine. I'm honestly tired of the 'strat' argument and that devs said yadda yadda. They said a thing back in 2018 before they realized how utterly depraved a good portion of the killer base will be. And now are realizing why games like LoL etc have player safeguards to prevent someone being unable to play/team destroyed. Does it always work? No of course not but is far better then pretending all is well we're just one big happy family please ignore the hard tunneling of certain players because checks notes they might be playing a trans woman/dare to like Sable among other things.

Slugging isn't toxic. Sometimes you have to slug. Sometimes the survivor goes down right at a pallet and you need to check for a save. Sometimes the other survivors are about to finish a gen and you need to stop it. Sometimes a survivor is already on the hook, so you slug that survivor to go for the rescuer and create tons of pressure.

Only case I genuinely believe is unhealthy for the game rn for slugging is Twins, coz it's just awful design without an answer to it especially in a game where you dont know what you're up against.

you never HAVE to slug some on to death. there is no excuse for leaving people on the ground for 4 minutes to bleed them to death and not hook.

If you are genuinely that bad at killer to create pressure without slugging then you need to do customs with hard bots until you can. Short of the killers that still rely on old stealth era, perks alone cover 98% of any weakness one might have on killer. And I don't want to hear about swfs. Stats showed they win at 1% above solo queue they are a boogeyman of killer creation. We should not be 4king every match either a game where one side always wins and whose only saving grace is all competition shoots itself in the foot isn't magically good.

slugging is fine if its not overly excessive. going out of your way to 4man slug or slugging for a 4k is annoying but slugging 1 or 2 at a time for pressure or need is completely fine.

It can help if it agitates the killer to focus on a single survivor who's a good looper. Ergo: it's a strategy.

I mean… okay? If you are presenting that idea, go off queen? I'd take carte blanche permission to slug in exchange for carte blanche permission for survs to t-bag. They t-bag anyway, so I really have nothing to lose here.
I will say this is a bizarre argument and feels a little like a reach in attempt to appeal to some kind of knee-jerk crowd reaction however. Slugging should ideally happen seldom, and t-bagging should be the same. Tying one to the other as a balancing act on some pedestal of ethics is certainly a choice. But go off I guess.0 -
Slugging is a way killers can build up pressure outside of hooks and is often needed when there isn't enough time to pick up a survivor and hook them or survivors are threatening a save with pallet or flashlight.
Teabagging serves no purpose besides to intentional upset the other side.

Slugging is intended in certain situations. I've done it against sabo teams plenty, and I've taken full team downs when they're easily handed to me. But I've never gone into a match intending to never hook anyone. I don't think that part was ever intended to the extent of what were seeing now, which is the reason so many people succeed with it. They're exploiting a system they know is hard to fix, with a tactic that's neatly impossible to counter.
As for depravity, If I'm being honest I think they like there to be toxicity and division and downright hatred in this community. That sort of conflict fuels engagement. It's much like political rivalry. The "tunnel Sables day" thing really spotlighted how gross this community is. A lot of people who play killer are obsessed with winning. You can't really be that way on survivor, since your designed to lose more than you win. But killer can attract a very different sort that, if they try enough, can win basically every match. Even very average killers can win more than they lose. Not so much for survivors. You pretty much have to be comp level for that.
I actually hope this problem keeps up so people keep complaining. It's nice to finally see the chorus rising, and complaints are all that gets anything done in this community.

I agree, like I said short of killers stuck in stealth era. Like plague has to on some level because her mechanic is so baked into a hide don't let her catch you sick bygone era. I honestly won't even support BHVR beyond Konami because that's how the company judges how much love a property gets. And Scooby when it drops because I'm hoping for a proper Scooby game not run of the mill slop. I agree I think the devs enjoy the us vs them because why not? We have no competition there's no reason to correct course. I'm really hopeful? The saw game will be a decent contender to force them to address issues. Outlast Trials is picking up speed too, and it's just so lore based which I know dbd community has been craving.

Your results may vary, as "taunts" aren't an actual game mechanic in DBD, doesn't mean that it can't work though.
I know as Killer Tbagging just gets a shrug from me, or tunneling out the survivor I think they're trying to protect since it likely means they're an easier target whom will be followed by a "protector" who isn't spending more time on gens.
If it gets the reaction of "being a turd" out of you, its working to some degree.

There's no leverage? That's why survivors tend to only do when safely at gate because doing so in chase takes time away from the loop. It's just BM there's no strat

To me it's all if it has a realistic strategic component. Like slugging for pressure or to avoid perks has a strategic advantage. Tbagging has no strategic advantage other then you just want to make the other person mad. Toxic. Same for bleeding people out once the game's over, this is just to make the other person mad. Toxic.
And no trying to make the other person mad so they chase you is not strategic before someone says that. That's a far, far stretch of the word.

It is literally the premise of a taunt mechanic. And yes, why it's usually done at the gate, or at a pallet/vault loop where you're waiting on the Killer to make a mindgame. So you try to mess with their mind.

That's why a taunt mechanic doesn't exist in dbd. Those are meant for other purposes, they're just being used as a taunt.
If you want to stretch the definitions so far that "it's to mess with their mind", then nothing in existence is ever toxic, because I could literally call anything "just to mess with their mind".

I rarely spend money on the game. Henry was the first killer I've bought in a long time, and I recycle my cells to buy the Rift. I won't buy individual skins either. This company gets my time, it's not getting my money too.
I'd really like to see something original pick up steam. Like Outlast Trails, yeah, which I haven't gotten but have been meaning to. Carnival Hunt looks pretty cool too. The Saw game doesn't interest me. I just don't get the obsession with IPs. My favorite aspects of dbd are it's original ones, and these limited IP games keep proving they don't have enough to keep people interested. Dbd is so big and overstuffed with years worth of maps and characters I just don't know how anyone can catch up.

Y'all are saying slugging is not toxic because it's a strategy for winning the game.
If I'm T-bagging a Killer to tilt them to make them hotheaded and think less about macro gameplay to focus on the micro and forgo pressure, that's also a strategy for helping out my other teamates, even if detrimental to my own survival, since I play cooperatively when I play survivor.
The point of trying to taunt the Killer is because there is only one of them, targeting their focus has distinct gameplay advantages (see tunneling for the Killer beneficial version). It's a strategy one way or the other.

You ignored my point entirely. If you're going to call it strategic for as something as broad as it gets in their head to make mistakes then by that stretch of the definition nothing is ever toxic. Ever. Since I could use that defense for basically any possible "toxic" thing we could think of. If it can negate anything from being toxic by that broad of a definition stretch, it's probably a bad definition.
Let's say we're in a game with voice chat. By your definition calling people a bunch of slurs isn't toxic at all, because hey it's just trying to get in their head to make them make mistakes. Not toxic. That would be silly. 99% of people would say that's toxic.

Saw is the only IP I think can have a chance, it has infinite amount of devices at it's disposal so there's endless amount of puzzles to be had thus whatever killers they have will not be held to some gimmick. Hunt has the issue of very immature devs who ragged on one of their biggest streamers and lost steam since

I'm gonna be so for real if tbagging actually gets in a killers head they have the mental fortitude of a wet paper plate. Any experienced killer is just gonna eye roll and move on so I find claims of tbagging being a "strategy" extremely dubious.

Power struggle would like a word. Unless the surviv9r crawls away from the pallet, it makes grabbing them literally impossible.

1 perk is no excuse. It has a cooldown it has its flaws. But there is no excuse to bleed some one out on the ground for 4 full minutes.

if you are going up against a power struggle user just let some one waste the time to pick them up while you run another survivor off a gen. Pallets are not endless despite what you are going to imply in your next post I'm sure. Yeah, this. I'll sometimes teabag to try to bait the killer into chasing me to break them out of tunneling a teammate, but that only works on bad killers, tbh. As a killer, I just ignore teabagging.

You still won't get it until you watch it. You claim that i should have chased off a 5th survivor - bizarre suggestion. I guess thats what happens when your defense is based off of ignoring any and all evidence presented to you.
Ignoring the bizarre suggestion of yours that there are 5 survivors in a match, your ultimate solution is to....slug the person and go chase someone else? Isn't slugging what youre upset about to begin with? You're solution to "slug is bad" is to slug?
That being said, at least they added a last survivor mori option so the issue happens less. Still a problem when the other survivor is still in play.

Sure. When they come up with a way to do it that doesn't actively punish killers, especially killers like Twins or The Oni that were kind of designed to slug. That is a design choice I think they would never make today, but they did.

Tactical slugging is fine, since it usually only affects one survivor, and it is also not used to bleed someone out.
The problem stems from those who abuse 4-man bleedout slugging, and are actively doing it to end the games, without any hopes to counterplay it on the survivor side3 -

One is primarily used to actually further the game in favor for the killer. The other is primarily used in situations where it's impossible to be punished like exit gates or in other words, gloat. Not the same comparison. Oh yeah also the fact that t-bagging is rooted in being a toxic action so doesn't really work like that.
