If jason stays how he is I hope springtrap gets more to his kit.
Springtrap has always felt like he could be improved to make the cameras a more viable counterplay. The doors give a fixed location to look for him coming vs any pallet or window vault in the area. His undetectable is mitigated by being overly loud. He has a fixed time to down because even if he lands both hits its a fixed 8 second cooldown on the recall to make sure he doesnt 2 tap outside of the jumpscare. The shift from 4.4 to 4.6 only when he throws the axe vs just appearing. Id like to see them improve his basekit a bit and actually make the cameras a part of it. Even the idea of consistent undetectable if not revealed is kinda disproven as being strong when jason can become undetectable, invisible, and silent. No quals with jason personally was doing very good as and against him it just is hard to see him not as better springtrap which is another character I really like.

Yeah Jason needs to get looked at, he's way too strong especially compared to Springtrap.

no clue why so many people downvoted already, because your honestly right. now the way you go about balancing him is different, but i do agree that the main thing you should do for spring trap is to make his security system more viable & more interactive/engaging for the survivors. the way you go about doing that, is feedback and suggestions you’ll have to receive by people who actually dedicate their time into getting better at the killer, and people who know the killer by heart.

I think the cameras would be used more if they halved the time it takes to reveal springtrap. Right now it takes forever and the radius to reveal him is so small. The other main issue with it is that because the door spawn logic is… questionable at times there are going to be maps where you literally can't reveal him half the time so you can't force survivors to interact with it by making it so he gets ridiculously strong if he's not revealed.

I agree with wanting to give the cameras more meaningful gameplay. As it stands they’re simply not worth the risk. I personally find Springtrap really fun in a 1v1 and I don’t feel he’s particularly too weak or too strong. I also don’t mind different killers having different “strength” levels. But I can definitely understand why seeing Jason with all the stuff he gets for free could feel pretty frustrating when Springtrap, who is traditionally supposed to be a jump scare kind of killer, could’ve benefited from some of the same things Jason has. It would be nice if they leaned into the stealth strength a bit more for sure.

It's not Jason being tuned too high, it's the other ranged killers being tuned too low. They could all use improvements to varying degrees, Springtrap included.

Tbh i quite enjoy using the cameras. Most people don't bother because they don't want to risk a grab. But if I'm doing a gen I'll jump on a door if someone is in chase and do the reveal. Doesn't take too long.

I disagree if every match is gonna be a 20 minute slog because the killer gets infinite information from the get go. We're gonna lose players even faster than we are. Jason needs to be slowed down immensely. We're day 3 into his release and it's still non stop. No one is playing anyone else we should be slowing down if he truly was mid tier.

Cant say much to the jason-Springtrap situation but The forum is funny in this regard.
Its okay to demand buffs to survivor to make survivor+badplayer equal to survivor+goodplayer+comms.
But buffing weaker killers to be on par with the strong who barely equal to survivor... The community rather gut the few killers who can compete.
Maybe make cameras track and reveal survs automaticallyover time kinda like singuslarity. survs turn them off and bunnyboy turns them back on. Wouldnt that be annoying enough to force usage?

It's absolutely Jason being tuned too high. He has:
- Insane map traversal
- Insane info while IN said map traversal
- Complete and total stealth… while in said map traversal.
- Almost little to no real tell on where he is while in said map traversal.
- 4.6 ranged killer
Every single ranged killer is 4.4 for a reason, because on loops like pallets they are busted as 4.6, yet here Jason is and he gets to be 4.6 while having one of the best projectiles in the game. There's no logic to it, it isn't just everyone else being bad, he straight up out classes every other ranged killer in EVERY category.
Map traversal? Jason beats them. Info? Jason beats them. Stealth? Jason beats them. Being 4.6 while they're all 4.4? Like c'mon dawg.
Then the nice cherry on top is that his counterplay… is doing nothing. His counterplay is boring, you just have to crouch walk around and do nothing. If you do a gen? He can see that. If you do a totem? He can see that. Which is why totem builds are so busted on him. Throw on thrill of the hunt, it takes ages to do a totem, he'll find you doing the totem and then when he appears it forces you to scream which resets the entire progress of the totem.
He's just not well put together.
