Nerf Jason being able to see people cleansing totems
He can defend hexes way too easily. Blood Favor/Thrill of the Hunt Jason is literally the most OP disgusting poopoo in this game right now. Most of my solo-queue teammates just disconnect when they see Blood Favor.

Hawk uuhhhh: counterforce.
-23 -
I have run counterforce. I know how to counter it. It's still disgusting
10 -
-
Not really healthy design to run a perk for one specific killer because of their overpowered build
23 -
I have been saying his power should not show people doing objectives. Would at least make him have to go listen if someone is doing them not just see them and pop out.
9 -
Not the only killer who can defend totems and gens.
-11 -
I guess you just watched Scott Jund's new video. The difference is those killers are not as stuffed in their basekit as Jason. His teleport power let's him move around the map INVISIBLE at crazy speed and teleport out to a pallet or window vault which are almost always where totems spawn.
It's not the same as Onryo where you can turn off a TV. Or as Demogorgon where you can seal a portal. Or Wraith who has to walk across the entire map and you see his shimmer coming and can hide.
"Not the only one that can defend totems and gens" but the only one that does it with a level of oppressiveness that overpowers the game in a completely unfun way. So many games I play I'm crouching next to a hex ready to break it and I have to wait forever for him to come out of power to do it. Many times he only comes out AS SOON AS I TOUCH the totem. And the game isn't progressing because my teammates are also crouching and waiting until someone else starts chase.
It HAS to change.
17 -
"Just get a perk that's behind a paywall to counter a potential build on one killer"
21 -
proceeds not to get said build for 10 games in a row
12 -
No.. i play the killers and i play survivor. I see which killers can do the same as Jason can and even more. Single Larry? Best camper in the game. You can't get rid of his blobs permanently and all he needs to do is shoot another one if EMPed.
Hag, another good example, but you don't see her too much because she's overally pretty weak in these days DBD.
You don't even need to do totems when you have proper nurse or blight player. You'll be too busy otherwise.
Using Jason as an example who can defend totems and gens is really out there when all the strong fast killers can do the exact same thing, but better. Ranged killers like huntress and trickster aren't the strongest killers but damn can they camp the hooks well. Hag and trapper, weak killers but end up in the basement with them, you'll die in there.
I could go on and on, but its pointless because people in this game are unwilling to learn anything anymore. People just rather come to the forums and demand for nerfs or DC in the game without putting any effort in.
After edit note : Also adding that if the killer keeps defending totems do gens. Its not the killers fault teammates are crouching in corners too scared to do anything. I've personally stopped the crouching and i just keep an eye out at my surroundings. I check where Jason can spawn next to me and prepare for chase. Crouching in corners and being afraid is not going to win you the game. You can use it well in chase though if he goes into his mist.
-11 -
I mean it is either nerfing Jason in this aspect or nerfing Thrill of the Hunt. For the longterm health of the game the latter is probably the more sensible option (IMO Thrill of the Hunt deserves a slight Nerf anyway by not working on Pentimento-Totems).
So overall, I would rather be for a Thrill of the Hunt-Nerf, since it will pop up again and again, but short-term Jason not being able to see Totems being cleansed should also be alright.
5 -
I'll give yeah that one ever since thrill got buffed it's become problematic and probably Jason also needs a not be able to see or make survivor screams while their doing totems he's way to good of a totem defender cause of his design
2 -
If the totem build is really THAT oppressive on Jason then at that point it might just be a skill issue on the survivors part. Don't know how to put it any other way.
-12 -
one of the few changes people want from Jason that i agree with
0 -
How would you like soloqers to cleanse Thrill totems with zero coordination against a killer that gets constant info while also being fast and invisible? Wanting busted killers and easy wins is the skill issue.
11 -
I main killer btw, and I just recently started my second survivor p100 grind woo. Jason can run thrill with ruin and pop his power constantly to force people off of gens and totems. Most Jason's aren't really good at this so there's that, but majority of the time it is still near impossible for solo queue survivors to cleanse them since there is zero communication.
3 -
So the issue is solo q players not having enough communication. Sounds like a SOLO Q ISSUE and not Jason issue. Maybe once they get the tools THEN we can touch up on Jason. As much as I hate quoting content creators… We should not balance around ignorance.
-12 -
The game is balanced around solo queue so I personally consider it unhealthy to have perks/powers that specifically punish you for it.
2 -
This mentality is the reason why I quit the game, nerf every killer that gives you a challenge but buff survivors to no end so that swfs can abuse you repeatedly, it's people like you who make the game unfun and the game is going in a horrible direction, every single killer feels it, have fun when there are no killers left and you have no game to play I guess.
-12 -
I agree.
unless you're a teenager with no job, its shouldnt be that hard to buy auric cells or use Iri shards if ya got'em.
and how often do soloqer face a "Hex-Jason"? Just deal with it the best you can or start running anti-hex builds and hope you face a Hex-build. No one wants busted killers that give easy wins; you just call him that cause you want easy escapes or just dont want to learn and adapt. Do you really want another "Slaughtering Strike Myers"? Cause thats eventually what you're going to get if you keep pushing these nerfs onto him.
-12 -
Is there any official statements of them saying this or is it just blabber?
-2 -
Counterforce, a single survivor perk countering an entire killer build - is that the message here? So, counterforce nerf when?
-2 -
Nerf Everything at this point
-4 -
No, it's isn't a soloq issue. Soloq is a big part of the game. If something is uncounterable in solo on one killer it shouldn't exist. I normally play all three aspects of this game but I currently won't touch soloq, and I'm sure I'm not alone. That's not healthy for the game's queue times or its outloook.
We should not balance around ignorance.
I'm assuming which ever CC that said this meant the ignorance of a player in regards to how things work, not the inability to even share or have information. Information that is imossible to obtain is not the same as ignorance.
Hilarious thing to say though, when talking about a no-thoughts killer who can turn invisible and zoom around the map while regressing gens with an add-on and getting free info on everybody. You can be macro-ignorant as all hell but still win.
Telling people they should have to spend money to even have a chance to win the game is just gross.
I don't need or want easy escapes. My 30-day is always well above 40% and has been for some time (and still is). Nor would I ever want any killer I play to be this easy to win with. I'd be livid if my killers got buffed to this degree. Some of us do want to earn things. Strange, but true.
Cause thats eventually what you're going to get if you keep pushing these nerfs onto him.
Nobody is asking for a rework, nor did anyone ask for that one.

the hell is happening in Australia that they got 12 minute killer queues
1 -
Congrats, how many times have you queued with a killer bot? I was running into them frequently before I quit and I assume it's actually bhvr implementing them because they don't seem to get banned, killers have given up playing the roll myself included, how else do you fill the void so queue times aren't 30 minutes? You can only write off player experiences for so long before you have to face the facts.
-9 -
How often do solo queue players face the most popular killer in the game using his most popular build?
I mean take a guess.
It's honestly a breath of fresh air when I go into Jason and he's not running this build. Like, oh yay, maybe this match will be fun for once.
9 -
I swear this bloody game reads your build and gives you killers where you don’t get benefit from it lol
10 -
Your conspiracy theory is that all these Jasons clogging up the queues for their instawins are BHVR bots boosting queue times to such an extreme degree that real people won't even want to wait to play killer, while survivors also lose most of their matches? Logical business move.
12 -
Is was 20 minutes on Jason day 1.

jesus

Funny that you mention Singularity considering he is also terrible unhealthy design that only isn't mentioned because he is underplayed and presumably clunky to use on consoles.
8 -
I mean you don't scream when on a totem. Also, run Small Game. It's a free perk that shows you the placement of totems. Or if you have Jill, Counterforce. I mean totems are incredibly weak on most maps due to their spawn locations. I mean I go against totem Jason and my team pops all of his totems within the first 2 minutes of the game and go on about our day. Jason can't defend all of his totems are once. Either he defends one totem and chases a person or he goes between them never committing to anybody and nothing happens. Hell if he does that 1-2 gens will probably pop before he even gets 1 hook. I've been going against a decent amount of totems recently actually and I think it's great. A good break from the Corrupt, Pain Res, DMS slop that's been the last forever at this point.
-10 -
Why? If you want to increase your chances of escape and theres a Survivor whose perks that can help with that, it makes sense to buy it with auric/Iri shards/shrine of secrets, nothing is free these days. You know that word we talked about earlier called "adapting".
Never said you needed it; it still sounds like you want it but whatev. Very few killers are easy, it always depends on what survivors you face, kind of silly to say you'd be livid if any killers you play got buffed. All of us killer mains want and do earn things whether you're talking about Nurse, Ghoul, or Jason. Strange but true as well.
-8 -
Ive been using Counterforce, Overzealous, Boon COH and Inner Strength. Works like a charm.
-5 -
I have many friends that won't touch survivor outside of 2v8, most of them still play killer. I pretty much only touch survivor nowadays if queue times get particularly long for killer, so I play while you wait. Otherwise its when we get the few friends still willing to play survivor together or when 2v8 comes back around (still play while you wait primarily). There have been numerous signs showing survivors leave the game in higher numbers than killers and are just quieter about it. If someone is winning more than they are losing and still claiming that the other side is OP it is perfectly reasonable to write off their experience, how would you even go about pleasing someone like that?
3 -
It quite literally is a solo q issue. How do you expect people to play accordingly without proper communication? Please tell me how the biggest problem here isn't the lack of communication. Also, it was Otz that said that quote and he was referring broadly iirc showing examples of survivor who didn't even understand what certain perks did. Either way the "should not be balanced around ignorance" is a very broad statement that applies quite frankly to everything.
-4 -
Dont tell them that we know that!

My problems with jason are this:
He can cancel survivor vault animations if he just so happens to OE at your vault. Ive had it happen twice where I went to vault while in chase and was a 1/4 to 1/2 through and it put me back on the other side just to be m1'd through a window. I was held in place while my vault was canceled just to then scream on his jump scare. He reloads mid chase with no animation lock or recovery both inside and outside of his power AND he can reload off a hook that a survivor is on whether you get hits with the spikes or not hes to forgiving to killers mid chase with no downsides. His slow while aiming seems to be agreed by the community to be one of the faster aim movement speeds with no real downside. After throwing his projectile he also seems to recover faster than other ranged killers. Springtrap still has a cooldown and just like all other ranged killers has a recovery animation from using their powers. (like wesker while hitting or missing a bound essentially the weapon wipe)
His jump scare is bugged and bypasses perks like calm spirit or hardened even while in a locker. I understand the killer instinct baked into jason and thats not what im talking about, no other perk or power in the game lets you scream in lockers and every scream perk thats come out in the past immediately was hotfixxed while his has stayed since the ptb.His power has no cooldown or limit and is heard by EVERYONE on the map. ( I know its actually something like 12 seconds but thats nothing compared to other teleport killers. I think his power should work more like the spirits where you can only really hear her using it if shes close. Having the whole match hear the power just has too many people urban evasion in fields not working on gens artifically inflating his kill count and match wins. I think this was done by design and aside from how long he can stay in his power everyone just stops what they are doing even if he isnt close because they hear the power and dont want to be the first to go down. The spirit is forced out of her power to give survivors a chance to locate her. The nurse screams while using her power, billy has a loud chainsaw you can hear even when hes undetectable. Ghoul makes out whooshing noises and you know when he is close or far, blight also has the same mechanic where you hear him bounce off objects and you can tell how close or far he is. All these killers love them or hate them have very obvious counterplay that works in a satisfying manner and agreed on by both sides. Jason has all of the benifits with none of the downsides to a chase or teleport power.
This last one is just a personal, I think he should be able to break pallets with his spear.4 -
There are no comms in this game. That's its base state. So if soloq is unwinnable in certain situations that only SWF can combat, then that aspect of the game is broken and soloqers are fodder for kill rates and egos.
I really don't care which parasocial deity spoke the holy words. Average killers aren't anymore knowledgeable as a whole than survivors. Most people don't treat the game like a job and acquire an encyclopedic knowledge of all its aspects. Expecting casual players on either side to do that is just foolish.
2 -
Since the QoL changes he's pretty easy to play on console now.
1 -
It would have been between 5.20-7.20 am for them so most likely only that most of the playerbase are sleeping and not playing the game.
0 -
I don't normally agree with content creators but I fully agree with Hens saying that full hex builds need to be nerfed. The argument being that Jason is not the real problem. He's just exposing an already existing issue with the game. I think hexes getting nerfed is the most likely outcome when you have a prolific player who is known to be in the content creator program openly saying this. Jason might get a slight nerf but I wouldn't expect much.
0 -
Hexes are supposed to be high risk high reward, and its only really a risk if you get a bad spawn on a killer without mobility.
0 -
Totally agree, almost all jasons now are using the same build with hexes and two addons (deputy's badge/sauna rock), then simply checking their totems and damaging gens in infinite omni mode. It's boring and unfun to play.
0 -
The problem is Thrill. It makes cleansing a full hex biild against certain killers close to impossible, and by the time you manage it you've thrown the match for totems.
3 -
even Face The Darkness + Thrill combo is nasty but still counterplayable, Jason just has too much info
3 -
Xenomorph with the scream tail addon, it's actually pretty oppressive.
-1 -
you should face against that build, it makes everyone scream and interupts totems constantly. You'll know when you face someone who is aware of it.
