Bad play BHVR (Massive cake rant)
About a week ago, I saw a leaked screenshot of the event cakes, where they were made Very Rare (purple) rarity instead of the usual common (brown) rarity. I thought to myself that this is going to piss off people a lot, and boy I was right.
Who made this decision in the first place? Did you not learn from last year, when you tried the same thing (or rather it was worse, since the cakes were wrongly marked as "Visceral"), and people absolutely flayed you for it. Fortunately, you listened then, and corrected the mistake.
We players are pretty tolerant about a lot of things, but OUR reward for spending countless of hours in the game should not be tampered with. Especially not when it comes to the 10th anniversary !!
So for the love of god BHVR, fix the cakes, and make them COMMON offerings again. Priced at 2000 BP.

This was not fixed. Only when the rarity is reversed back to common will it be fixed.

Also the automatic bloodweb doesn't collect them unless they are in the centermost nodes so you end up missing a ton of them.

I knew about this beforehand, as I saw a leaked image of the offering, which turned out to be true. I knew this was going to cause uproar.
Here is a normal event offering as a comparison. Common, as it should be.
Why are these Very Rare? It really does not make any sense.

DON’T USE THE BULK BP!
it’s bugged and is giving way less rewards from the bloodweb than intended. i tested it on my p100 characters (which give a guaranteed cake per level 50 bloodweb) and bought 5 levels using bulk bp and only got 2 cakes when i should’ve gotten 5.

I just got 27 cakes from 3 prestiges, which isn't too bad i think. Not sure if this is why, but I spent in 1 million intervals.

Killers get lots. The problem on survivor is that you have the event items AND the new cakes, all in the same pool. So you get less cakes on survivor. On my P100 Pig bloodwebs I got at least 1 cake every single page.

Why is 1 Event item/offering per level not guaranteed anymore? What's the loss? Especially on Surv when it's a 1/3 draw for Cakes?

This just makes me not want to play lol why care about events when they are garbage? Why care about the game when its worth less playing? And my playtime has been getting less and less over the last year with their constant awful choices.
Fake boosted engagement statistics are worthless when it garners ill will towards them. But corpos fail to realise this over and over.

They made the cake a Very Rare (purple) offering.
Auto and Bulk spend always prioritize cheaper nodes going from the center to the borders, so if you want a little bit more of cakes spend your BP manually.3 -
I really hope bhvr does something with it and do it quickly.
I decided to turn off the game for now. I don't want to spend 15m BP and get 50 cakes.

It's the best moment to motivate people for playing and we have no cakes, lobby doesn't work, bloodweb doesnt work.

Yeah, the cakes are the one thing that players are really looking forward to, after having slogged through a full year of tunneling, taunting and mediocre events with personal offerings.
I am willing to wait until the situation changes. I also got jaw-dropped when I saw the community goal for the event, being 100 million trials played.

Conspiracy Theory: Its a ploy to hide the fact that ptb cross-examination went live and it's working. I cannot wait until I get 1.5k more Iri Shards to buy it, use it for a week before the actual nerf comes through then never use it again.

I spent mine beforehand.
And I got to spend around 400k BP today before I gave up because the bloodweb kept bugging out.
Though, on average, I saw one cake every third web or so.0 -

I feel like they've handled a milestone anniversary very poorly. People were saying it felt lackluster a month ago but the response was "wait until the event." Now its the event and the main thing people look forward to is "very rare." It doesn't feel like a celebration.

What's the marketing strategy here? All this is going to do is create a PR nightmare for the game when a bunch of people are about to enter the fog for the first time. If this was my first time playing the game I'd immediately stop after seeing how they are treating this event

It feels like a kick in the groin to be brutally honest. Paired with all of the bugs that has shown up today. Bloodweb not working properly, event currency goes missing, unlocked items disappearing from inventory, and so on.
This whole start of the event has been a nightmare.

Oh wait yeah just registered they are Very Rare now meaning even less cakes. Why are we being so stingy with them? I remember back when there could be up to 3 cakes with at least 1 per blood web now it's going maybe 3 blood webs at lvl 40+ just to see one.

Idk if I'm just really really unlucky but even with manual spending I get like 1 cake per bloodweb and sometimes 0…

Ever since its removal event bloodwebs have been ruined because you're trying to put cakes in normal raritys causing massive disruptions like not being able to farm high rarity addons during events and getting less event items than the past since the event items share slots for generation with purple items now
Even if its just for items/offerings for events brining this back would fix the bloodweb issues that come up every event that didn't exist until event rarity was removed1 -

It's barely started, I know, yet many things have already thrown me and many others off (not to say most of the community, lol). The cakes being PURPLE rarity instead of brown? Getting one cake every sometimes in the bloodweb? The massive amount of bloodpoints we get to spend to get a bunch of cakes is one of the main things people look forward to in the anniversary and it's messed up already. Getting barely 10 cakes for multiple prestiges is just unacceptable. The shrine not resetting daily? What's the need to take away things that worked perfectly fine before and that people looked forward to during the 10th anniversary of your game of all times? It's not good at all. All the bugs aside, because that's expected, these things can't stay like this unless they want a terrible anniversary experience for everyone involved. Thanks
