Halloween chapter saw trailer of him coming to the game and bought it soon after. This was like week or two after his release.

Old Myers…

I personally don't mind the current one and you can still play him like the old one by using the add-on. Did that sometime ago and it was still fun.

I just wish i had him

Damn that sucks hopefully we get him back soonish.

So the same guy who told me to play speed clown told me to play the game in the first place. I remember thinking it was a cringe ahh baby game and it is! But I fell in love anyway. At first very slowly, but update after update the game kept getting better and it still is! I think?
I've dipped in and out/taken breaks all that. Thus I have become strangely attached to this game over the years - it is genuinely one of the only games I feel like I fully understand and excel at. The community can be hit or miss but I love to be involved regardless, the devs are irritating little buggers with some abhorrent ideas but I'd say 5 times out of 10 they hit some real dingers.
I really enjoy the gameplay loop. I like being mean to survivors just as much as I like to be nice and I revel in every victory and try to take each loss on the chin. There really is no better feeling than a cross map hatchet on huntress, the perfect bounce with UVX, or a really disgusting arc on a clown bottle. Sometimes the game is hard to enjoy… I've played against some really good survivors that made me question my choice to keep playing. We've all had to endure some changes that personally have made me never want to play this game again, but for some reason… I keep crawling back for more.1 -
First time i joined, in 2018, was because it was another game i could play with my brother and other friends. I played mostly survivor, with a tiny bit of killer (i mained huntress/hag when i first started playing killer) and over the years have shifted more to a 50-50 playstyle. The community weren't that welcoming, but my friends and I ignored chat and just had fun where we could playing random builds or all running the same build as a laugh.

My kid was watching me browse the PSN store back in 2019 and DBD was on sale and he wanted me to buy it so he could play it. I did, and he played it for a while, but not long. It just sat unplayed for a few months but then I heard Ash was playable and I love Evil Dead, so I thought I'd give it a shot, even though I typically actively avoid online multiplayer games.
6K+ hours later and here we are lol
And of course, my Ash is still under P10 (I now have 5 P100 survs) and I spent 99% of my first full year as a killer/Spirit main…it did not play out like I thought lol3 -
Aww thats actually kind of cute to hear lol. I think kids interactions in this game are hillarious my 7 year old niece is always on this game, maining Ghostface and Legion. i actually think she has a higher prestiged killer then me
ive never played Evil Dead might check it out
Yep she has P32 Ghostface
my highest is P15 Skull Merchant

I'm a refugee from f13 i didn't have much choice. I didn't come here willingly.
my first exposure to asymmetrical gameplay was the Michael Myers custom mode in Call of Duty 4 way back from 07/08

i forgot that game existed

game had its flaws, but I have a couple fond memories of the game, like listening to a survivor talk only for them to scream and have their mic cut as Jason morid them.

ill share my story i guess
Was a huge OW player, and i started to get bored of it, i looked around the store and saw this game, wasnt too interested at first until i went to a buddys place and he let me try it. turns out i was a demon on Dredge, quickly grappling his power and anti loop. from there i was hooked (get the pun?)
bought DBD right before the first came out, and mained Skully, until i found a love for Pig. now im trying for P100 Piggy

Played it when it came out, didn't really care for it.
Gave it a look when Deathgarden was out, really had lots of problems with the design philosophy.
Looked at people playing when VLDL was doing some comedy sketches about the game, seemed more fun though I still had some issues with it, but got into it more than I expected.

I mained Clown for like a week once, did really well and put time into it. Until my buddy kept making fun of me for playing him, i felt discouraged and found Pig after that

People get real mean about clown but I just think it's funny. They are mad that I like the smell of ammonia and can run at Mach 20 with my Santa gut. So be it!

ohh i had a pretty nasty Clown build back then, dcs were high, my joy was high.

Was gifted the game years ago because someone wanted me to play it with them 😅
I played for few years until Skull Merchant came out then I honestly played 50/50 mobile and pc. they where behind pc release so it was kind of like playing old version of dbd, they had stuff like old Haddonfield map, Old version of moris, but with QoL the main game is still missing (like pre made messages you can send to team)
Then they shut down DBD mobile so moved back to just playing the main game.0 -
It was Free on psplus like a bunch of years ago

As a horror movie mega-fan, I've had the game on my radar from around when Freddy was added. The only reason the Freddy DLC didn't bring me into the game is because I thought it would work like Friday the 13th where the killer is randomly chosen.
Then I watched Hololive play it around when Mikaela got added, and I learned you get to choose which side you play. I bought it during the stream and I've been playing ever since.
And I generally have a good time doing so.

I originally bought the game because I saw Ash Williams was in it and I'm a HUGE Evil Dead fan. This was right when he released, sooo.. like 2019ish? Plus Michael Myers was in it so double awesomeness! But then i realized you don't really get to play as Ash, you just play a dude that looks like Ash playing hide and seek. No chainsaw hand, no shotgun, just hide and seek. So the game just collected dust in my Steam collection for years without me even downloading it once.
Fast forward to 2021 and the release of Halloween Kills and the accompanying re-release of the original 1978 Halloween. I was so hyped by seeing Myers on the big screen again that I remembered that I had bought a game with him in it, and thought "hey, might as well give it a try since I already paid for it." And from that moment on, I fell down the rabbit hole and have been a hardcore player ever since.0 -
I saw Dead By Daylight on PS Plus in like 2017, and I downloaded it, I was absolutely abysmal at the game, I didn't understand perks or like the meta game, I just ran around, tried to do gens etc. I got really into DBD in 2019, and it has been my go-to multiplayer game for years now. Horror is my favorite genre, and I would love to see Kayako Saeki from Ju-On in the game eventually, as that's the only J-Horror icon I could see getting added next to Sadako. The Pig was my killer that attracted me to play killer, and I remember how excited I was for the Silent Hill chapter.

I was looking for a multiplayer game that I could play with my hubby, and DBD kept popping up. Hubby hates horror so I knew he wouldn't play it, but once I became aware of it suddenly I just kept seeing it everywhere. I saw one day that a Silent Hill chapter was coming to the game, and being a SH fan I started taking notice. Eventually caved and bought it sometime around Twins release (I remember the community thinking it was Until Dawn based on the teaser lol) but didn't really start playing frequently until around Trickster's release.

I played the beta and just stuck with it. The concept of the game being tag wearing the coat of a horror game works so well for my brain. I'm still cursing myself for not grinding the legacies.
And now im playing on and off for years, sometimes with a month or two of a break but pretty consistently.

I played so much overwatch parallel to dbd. At least until overwatch 2 brainrot came around. My Reinhardt was crazy lemme tell you.
