This is the worst event in dbd history Devs are clearly actively trying to cull the Killer playerbase by making events like these absolutely miserable you can actually be trapped and held hostage on certain maps with unbreakable pallets to my Fellow Killers it aint worth the suffering and a lot killer players and content creators realize this and are just not playing killer side.

Devs if you want to restore good faith and actually want killers to have fun in this event Hotfix immediately and remove the Unbreakable pallets and invincibility effects.

On which map can you be held hostage?

I doubt it as long as I have not seen it - but am really curious. Screenshots would be cool.

Midwhich, Temple of purgation, a coordinated swf I've seen clips of you can trap the killer at killer shack

The portals are hard countered by Trapper and Hag which is incredibly funny to me.

Also the invisibility does not make survivors immune to damage or killer powers, and if you hit them with poison while they are invisible you can actually see them. They also shuffle grass and stuff.

Tricksters knives work on invincibility too

I honestly agree that this event feels very survivor-sided.

The portal/invisibility/invulnerability combinations are extremely strong, and on some maps it can feel miserable to play killer into it. But at the same time, I can understand why they went this direction this year. Jason just released, killer interest is already very high, and if the event was also heavily killer-sided again, the queues would probably be awful.

Last year the event felt much better for killer, so I just played a lot of killer and enjoyed it. This year I would honestly do the opposite: if killer feels miserable, just play survivor and farm the event while it lasts. The BP is good, the tools are strong, and it is also a good time to learn matchups like Jason from the survivor side.

I don’t think killers should torture themselves through an event that clearly gives survivors this much value. Sometimes it is better to just play the side the event favors and move on.

Anywhere there's a dead end blocked by a pallet. And that's only one way, no I'm not going to spread either method.

The really annoying thing is that the killer ability requires cake (which has had its occurrence rate reduced by 90%). It costs maybe 150-200k to get a cake to spawn. So you either have to play without a cake and just get dominated, as survivor abilities don't require one or play survivor to earn enough BP to get one on killer.

No, this will not be changed any time soon whatever BHVR say - and if you want proof, how's that Skull Merchant rework going?

'A thing was bad last year, so let's make it even worse this year only going in the other direction'.

Yes, that's a perfectly fine and not at all vindictive way to want your game balanced.

Just because survivors have more stuff to do it doesnt mean its survivor sided. With how the game currently plays out this is hardly any different from normal game mode.

This event is by far the worst on all anniversary events. This is crap as killer. I'll only play it as survivor.

Even if we don't talk about the bad balance of this event, survivors have a side quest to play the game and killer : fart… Man who allowed this ?

    AHA!

COORDINATED SWF, not survivor in general.

    No more questions, your honor.

I know it hard for you to understand but that was for only one part of my sentence
