This game really needs a fresh shake up. Balances, adjustments, killer updates, etc!
The game has felt a bit stale for a little while now. I really hope BHVR has something planned for all of this. There’s so much that needs attention.

Personally, I don't think we're getting jack ######### with the mid chapter, but even if we were, are you sure you want that? With the devs having shown just how "aware" they are with their games problems and and how they've been balancing things, are you really sure you want that?

We're in the middle of a trainwreck that was supposed to be DBD's biggest event in history. I think you're being overly optimistic.

They should just hard nerf all meta perks/items/addons and randomly buff other perks/items/addons more or less. That way we might get a fresh meta.

I got the impression that all these changes are planned for 2027. But I hope for more this year.

Why would they start doing that when they haven't done it since ending the Health Update.
The game is obviously in such a great and healthy state.
After their big health initiative.
Which delivered on everything that it promised.

with the diminishing returns 9.6.0 parch I hope we get a similar 6.1.0 meta shake up with at least 50 adjusted perks. (25 for each side)

I feel like we won't get a midchapter this time. The current rift closes in two weeks and usually the midchapter drops alongside the next rift, but there is not enough time for a PTB (usually we have a three weeks gap between PTB and live release). Next Tuseday is also the day for the second hot fix and a third one will also follow. The third one might introduce the new rift as it would make sense to drop it on Tuseday in two weeks.
The Grimoire Chapter will drop on August 25th, which means the PTB for it is on August 4th.
I really hope I am wrong about it since so many stuff is in need for a change and Mandy confirmed that only midchapter will bring changes but based on the timeline, it looks a bit rough.

Yeah midchapter would pretty much have to be this coming week if we're getting one, if not there might not be one.

Yeah they need to buff a lot of perks. They introduced diminishing returns as a way to finally allow for things to change and so far we got jack all besides a total solidification of the meta now that a lot of niche builds are dead.

It would be really nice to see BHVR take some big swings on balancing. There's a serious backlog of issues in the game that need addressing and the very piecemeal approach they often take to them is not helping clear it.

agreed!! we need so many tweaks, at least small tweaks, to more than half of the killer roster! and we need another perk shake up!!

I hate to be right but there is for real no midchapter according to the roadmap. So, the next midchapter might be in six month and even that could not happen.
I really don't like this situation since so many killers and perks are in need of a change but that will only come with a midchapter according to Mandy. The Diminishing Return Feautre is also in the game for nearly six month and while it is a good idea, the devs waste it by not actually changing stuff based on the feature - currently just a feature that limits stuff instead of increasing variety.

Well, I wouldn't say L after L. I do think though a Midchapter…A really solid dense packed midchapter is really needed. We haven't had a proper midchapter in ages.

Idk the mess of an anniversary event followed by them lying to us about it as they try to fix it followed by no midchapter has left a bad taste in my mouth.

The Midchapter isn't always in the Roadmaps so we can't say its not gonna happen. It might or maybe they know something we don't. I agree though, the event has been….messy to say the least.
