Insanely fun Freddy rework idea
So during the dream transition, what if there were two or three other freddy’s following the player and doing things like kicking gens or vaulting windows, sometimes moving towards the player to scare them into turning towards the real killer.
Survivors have to guess which one is the killer and try to keep track of them as they disappear and reappear in their line of sight as the dream transition progresses. And when the dream transition completes, they’ll see if they were right.
I think this would be a really fun change for Freddy for both sides, and would give skilled survivor mains something they can fear again. Seeing as they have to rely on instinct and not their eyes.

A rework I would like to see:
Ditch the glove, give him a machete/axe.
Ditch the fedora, give him a hockey mask.
Ditch the sweater granma gifted him, give him a jumpsuit.
Go play Trapper instead.

That's scary. 3 Freddys following me? D:

Insanely fun?
How do you know it would be?

Interesting idea.

It would be fun, but it's too much work so the devs probably wouldn't do it

This reminds me of Mirage from Apex, but I like where you are going with it

A more fun rework would be freddy can't use his power.

Would you not get a rush of excitement trying to figure out which Freddy is the real one that’s chasing you?
It also means that only a Freddy that’s good at not looking obvious is going to benefit from this rework, raising his skill ceiling substantially.
It would completely change the dynamic of the game and provide a much needed breath of fresh air and an element of unknown to keep long time players interested and provide a new level of depth to learn.

I just can’t appreciate jokes when they’re that obvious. xD

Don’t forget about the steroids and stilts

I would love that

In theory it sounds cool
But I think it might backfire in the sense that survivors know Doc ain’t there when he’s standing on a tree branch.

Lol that’s why they can employ self learning AI, all they gotta do is mimic player action in a convincing way, a static object of doc with no spawn rules is different from pathed AI.

a better idea is Freddy is weak as f*** i mean like tier 1 Myers but he can still attack people out of the dream world but the more people he puts to sleep the more powerful like how Myers stalks but when everyone is asleep nobody can do gen or exit gate they are just blocked off but this is just my idea but i dont think 3 freddys will be fun but still a good idea

Freddy shouldn’t be able to attack anyone outside of dream world. If they want to make him stronger, they need to remove the ability to do gens or heal until they’ve been woken up.

I think that would be the pinnacle of annoyance, like the unwanted child of Legion/Freddy.
Honestly, I don't see how will they fix him, if ever they're gonna try to.

Keep an open mind and take comfort in the fact that should the devs adopt this idea, they will use their expertise to balance it in a way that is acceptable.
The original user user was asking for a radical change that I disagree with, so I gave my own input in the context of a worst case scenario where they can’t find a way (somehow) to improve him (which they will).

They should remove self care wake up, reverse survivor gen repair stacks aka more people on a gen slows it to a crawl, and falling asleep survivors only being able to run or vault. And awake survivors can’t body block asleep or dying survivors. These changes would make Freddy jump out of the trash can of balancing.

The fun buff is: When survivor is put into dream transition they are stopped from doing any action
