Is it tunnelling if you tunnel a botted out survivor
POV: You load into a match and find a survivor quickly and get a quick down and they immediately DC - is it *really tunnelling to rush to kill them since they chose to quit.

It's a bot, whatever. GG.

There's something about seeing the letters BOT show up on a name that really gets my tunnel vision going.

Yeah just tunnel the hell out of the bot. If someone DCs that early it's almost always a loss. Bots're pretty rubbish at actually doing anything in a match. Ironically they are generally ok at chase, they can loop reasonably well bar the odd brain glitch.
It gives the actual survs time to do stuff and get BP. You can always let someone go after. I generally feel a bit harsh pulling a 4k on 3 survs after 1 dcs. And if one player dcs it's not unusual for another to dc right after or for survs to just give up

No. If a person bots out I almost consider it doing the survivors a kindness to immediately tunnel it out.

so - what I am gathering from this is that its not only okay, but morally and ethically correct to tunnel. Gotcha - I will tunnel more in future matches ;D
this is obvious ragebait -dont fall for it

I wouldnt count it bot has no feelings, still survivors can sstill call you a camper who needs to touch grass but I wouldnt pay attention to these emocional outburst from people that forget how grass looks.

Yes, it is tunneling. No one cares about bots. Often the other survivors just let the bot die on the hook.

If you tunnel the poor bots imma use STB on them 😂

I mean strictly speaking, it is tunnelling. You are tunnel-visioned on the bot.
The amount of people that care is significantly lower, however.

it's a catch 22 you can't win here. if you tunnel the BOT then you are abusing bad bot AI for easy wins if you ignore the bot you're just griefing actual people.
This unfortunate situation was why I was a staunch opponent of 2v8 making 2 survivors always BOTs every game I was a bad guy to somebody.
