BUFF SPRINGTRAP

Springtrap is the most average but weak killer to date, he is weak against anybody with two braincells, going for orbital shots (his ''anti loop'') is usually a disadvantage to this killer. TLDR, Springtrap is a killer that isn't strong, and is just weak against high MMR squads. (If you disagree with anything here, please feel free to comment)

BUFFS

  • Shooting a fire axe through a window, it is then blocked for 10s.
  • When holding the axe, see survivor auras if they are within 6 meters. (This does not happen if revealed by the door)
  • Restaurant Menu is made basekit. (It is now, 'Your revealed aura goes down 10% faster')
  • Iri Remnant allows you to see the auras of survivors within 20 meters after exiting the designation door.
  • After exiting a door, his loud footsteps are not hearable for 10s
  • Help Wanted Ad also works for Freddy's Hat.
  • Springtrap gains 5% haste for 5s after hitting a survivor with his axe.
  • Springtrap gains undetectable from the start of the match until a survivor uses the camera on him, and gains it back for 25s after Axe Grabbing a survivor. (Encourages using his counter-play, aswell as teaches the survivors to use them. // PS. Add a addon that makes it so this doesn't happen, if somebody wants to run deerstalker)

Survivors spawn near a door ((this could be abused with lethal pursuer so idk)

NERFS

With these proposed changes, needs some nerfs to make them fair.

  • Battery on doors is increased by 85 90%
  • Revealing Springtrap results in 5% Hindered for him (4s // Encourages using the axe to hit doors/cameras)
  • Springtrap's aura after being revealed increased by 20%
  • 8s cooldown on chaining doors.

I do believe there will be a few changes I proposed that come off as stupidity to some people, and that's fine. These are just changes I believe could help the killer feel better aswell as adding the theme back to the chapter through doors.

Keep dreaming, that buff is most likely never coming. It all comes down to the data and killrates, never common sense. Bhvr would rather look at what a graph says instead of what the community says when it comes to anything, unless it effects the pocketbook or enough outcry "cough" Streetwise "cough" nothing will be changed in a reasonable timeframe.

Springtrap is one of my favorite killers and he's one of the better range killers too. He can ignore most objects if you know the projectory of his axe. I think Jason is worse than Springtrap. Springtrap is one of the few who can throw over stuff like cars so I disagree. He doesn't need buffs.

Odd, I was told he was overpowered and unfun.

Can you blame them? I like Springtrap, but the camera stuff is unrewarding. You can be grabbed and for basically no reward.

When it comes to throwing axes at doors with an active camera, it would be nice if there was a way to tell which door is looking at you such as giving the camera a red light when active. Seeing as how they would now be used more aggressively to hinder you in chase. Not much you can do when its on the opposite side of a wall revealing you, but it'd help when theres multiple doors around you and the only way to quickly tell which one is about to slow you down is whichever one has a camera at a different angle. A light might give you faster mid chase reaction time.

Thats kinda true, but also isnt. I think Springtraps axe is fine, but it isnt better than Jasons spear.

Throwing above is really fun, but its annoying that you have maps with trees/ceilings or other objects. So its a bit rng if you can use it. Many of those loops have small gaps where you cant fit the spear through but with Springtrap you just claim the pallet and use Foxys hook to mindgame the survivor. Its still better than Huntress.

Jason is better for two main facts especialy the one.

First his mobility has more use on maps and doesnt get effected by map rng like springtrap doors does like exsample on dead saloon theres door under the main su when you exit there any survivor on top of the main hears you and swamp has it too I believe even xeno has this problem with his mobility while jason can get everywhere. His mobilities use of how it works plus the tracking thats big and especialy its small cooldown its way better then springtrap.

Second is just "IF" but jasons spear is better for people that can get shots and have great aim, springtrap has more less punishing power for missing because he gets 5% speed and has 7 seconds cooldown till he can recall his axe while jason after missing must go out of his way to get spear so its more rng based but very accurate jason that hits majority of his shots beats springtrap player who hits most of his shots.

Jason mainly outranks springtrap with how much more better his mobility is because springtrap must go to certain point and enter door and can exit only on other door while survivors know about him exiting close to them by door sound so this makes him worse.

For range powers I would say they are not so much off like springtraps max level potencial is huge due to orbitals that beat many loops but are in reality super hardcore and unreliable, jasons spear is stronger especialy the ones from hooks but he gets more punnished for missing while springtraps axe is more mistake friendly.

Jasons wins due to his more free mobility that has low cooldown and tracking plus more ways of use then springs doors.

For now I would say springtrap doesnt need buffs (maybe some addons) but he is fine, unless they give survivors more interaction with doors and he will fall into xeno or old larry effect where the counterplay with his part of power is strong so they will have to buff him hard.

We can see it on xeno now how good survivors with well placed turrets make many people to rather not to touch him (funnily many whine to face him more or see him more), we could saw it on old larry that wasnt bad but emps totaly wreck his power in seconds and people called him larry or by his thrailer quote "it wasnt programmed to harm the crew".

I bet many will remember that larry part and take the fact that xeno is in 10 most unplayed killers even when he isnt that much of a bum compare to others but thats funny thing with many unplayed killers like twins, krasue, artist.

Jason is forced to teleport to certain locations with either windows or pallets. That hinders him just as much as Springtraps Doors. Springtrap has no terror radius once he's out of his door, Jason does. There is a direct counter to Jason's movement. Just crouch/stay away from windows and doors.

My favorite is to bait him towards a pallet then run away. While he's coming out of it, you're far away. Springtrap can also recall his axe after a short time, meaning he has to never reload plus gets a normal movement speed once his axe is gone, so even if he misses, he still gets a buff in return. Jason doesn't get the same.

He moves the survivor farther away from his initial hit plus they still get the movement speed buff from the hit. When it comes to range killers, he's just not as good as Springtrap. Also, Jason's slower forcing him to use his power to reload his spots plus look for the survivor again. If they immediately crouch, more times out of 10, he won't see them again when he comes back out from grabbing a reloaded spot.

Springtrap can also ignore most stone walls, cars and even loops with his axe if you're good enough with his arch. Jason is at the mercy of waiting until he can get a clear shot, while slowing down while aiming. We can compare both all day, but Springtrap has the superior projectile. He doesn't need to throw across the map.

Springtrap is great as a loop-stopper. Hit them over the loop, as they run, catch up with normal speed and either recall, or let them remove it then wham! Another axe throw to finish it or melee them. You cannot loop Springtrap like you can most other range killers. That's a fact. His arch gives him an advantage over others plus his doors keep him quiet and great for another ambush that doesn't alert the entire map to hide.

All range killers are known for something, but Springtrap will always be the best when it comes to nailing people with trick shots because even if you try to hide behind something, someone who's great at him will always find a way to nail you with it. Huntress cannot do that upclose. Jason cannot do it upclose. Deathslinger cannot either. Maybe Unknown but he's for a different discussion altogether.

As In kinda said their antiloop range powers are kinda same in strenght they both have high potencials but jasons mobility gives him more then springtraps doors which are easy to prerun and if you want to hit as freddy you need to exit from doors that are more away from location survivors are so you have higher chance through stealth but that takes more time and effort plus jason can mess with survivors with jumpscare too like they need los to have idea where he is but he gets killer instinct on their location.

Jason beats springtrap by tier due to his mobility being just better in almost any key part of mobility.

His mobility isnt that map dependend, it can be used to catch up to survivors, he can track survivors. Only downfall is he is slower at getting across the whole map but then its almost like comparing dreadges mobility to draculas. Jason can use his mobility to break pallets and its good in chase plus it can sometimes totaly mess up survivors idea of where the killer is when theres many redource spawns so jason can get surprise hit, one of man reasons here is that jasons exit potecial from omnipresent covers more place on map then springtrap doors.

Jason basicaly overpowers springtrap due to his mobility and its utility which is what springtrap lacks.

I’ve seen and like the camera idea. I think it incentivizes survivors to use the doors (which the devs want) while also buffing springtraps stealth (could be a nerf if the survivors are on top of the cams). Everything else you list is kinda overwhelming, but my ideas for buffs that are actually in the realm is possibilities is to make his axe travel faster while in the air and giving survivors a speed decrease when they pull out the axe, similar to Jason. Maybe instead of 10% it’s 5% because the animation is longer for springtraps axe. And I think his axe needs a speed buff due to how easy it is to dodge while it’s in the air,.
