What is the benefit of high fall windows?
You know, those high windows that are 5 meters above the ground were put there because survivors have a stagger when they land on the ground from a high place, while killers do not.
I almost swear that vaulting of these windows hardly gives any distance from the killer. You can fast vault these windows and then the killer vaulting behind you and the killer still able to hit you directly.
For some reason you have killers who don't land directly when they vaulting through high windows, but then you do have some killers who land directly during the vault animation, why??
I didn't see anyone talk about this.

Yeah, by default, verticality is an extremely inefficient mechanic to use on survivor. This isn't helped by the fact that a lot of newer maps that feature high drop windows all have an opening about 2 metres away from the vault itself. It's a real shame too because it adds character to maps.

I think the point is probably for those windows to be weaker, like filler pallets.
The kind of resource you use in the right scenarios but are weaker outside of that. For high fall windows, it'd be for when the killer isn't right behind you and also for Balanced Landing specifically, I'd assume.

A lot of them are purely traps for survivors if they use them. Most of the elevated windows on Hawkins spring to mind here.
But sometimes an elevated window is good for a mind game. Where you run toward it and do a little crouch and fake like you're taking it at the right time and the killer chooses to drop off or hesitates or some such. Haddonfield was amazing for this, if you did it right it often ended the chase.
I think any of the elevated drop windows that a high enough to stagger a survivor but not activate Balanced Landing shouldn't exist.

*laughs in balanced landing *
Those high windows are always risky. Sometimes if there's a pallet or another window close you can make it to one. But yh they are kind risky if killer vaults quick or has a quick alternate path.
Tbh I've been using balanced landing as my main exhaustion perk recently. It's mad situational but when you play to it it almost always gives great value. Especially on these types of vaults

Unless something changed, I think those garbage trucks on Autohaven with the singular window at the back still don't trigger BL unless your on 60fps or lower…
