Why does leveling a p100 Character cost nearly 2million for barely any rewards?

I'm going to skip the whole, map tokens that suck up our bloodpoints that we can't do anything about.

However spending 1.9 million bloodpoints and barely getting any items out of it still makes zero sense to me.

When is BHVR going to stop being stingy about our BP, items, and also address the map fragments that are useless?

You are using the auto complete it takes cheapest first and moves from the center circle of the bloodweb fist taking everything on the first circle and then moves to the next. Ultra Rare's rarely spawn on the first two or three circles of the bloodweb and as they are the most expensive the automation takes it last on the circle. So you will most often not get all Ultra Rare's that there is on the web if you use automation.

It shouldn't matter if I do or don't, it shouldn't be THIS CHEAP for being THIS EXPENSIVE!

Also, you skipped reading the entire post, I know what the auto complete does, it's why I used it, to prove the point of the title of the thread.

EDIT: I feel sad for people who think this should be normal.

When you have a character not at p100 then the bloodweb is not full basically , like only have a few branches at level 1-5 and it's only full at 40 but at p100 the bloodweb is always full so there's more things that are bought and that makes it more expensive, it's better do the bloodweb by yourself so you can get the stuff you want and ignore what you don't need

I agree with this, but I also think part of the reward for a p100 should be that the spawn rate for rarer items should go up. Even if you go though picking the items you want, on the fully expanded bloodweb you're still going to spend most of your BP on junk.

Speaking for myself, part of me would like to keep investing in my favorite P100 characters but also feel like dumping all those BP into a new character is more rewarding.

Also, even though it's not that hard to just go after the items you want (I clearly remember the plodding, uber-tedious, grueling, one node at a time BS that we suffered through for years), we've become conditioned to speed. I don't think it would be unreasonable to ask for a higher rate for better items when autospending on a maxed out bloodweb.

Not crazy or anything (like if half or more of your web were blue/iri items), just dial it up a bit. Like by the time you hit P100 you'll have hundreds of brown/yellow items and add-ons you'll never use.

Of course the more intensive (and probably better) solution would be to identify the useless ones and remove them altogether, which people have been requesting for years.

It's so full of gunk tho, like really, this is what P100ing gets us… bupkiss!

I agree with all of this, and I think it's really well said. I feel like getting p100 is not rewarded at all, and in fact it feels like we're given more trash to sift through. I'm already back to 5 million points and I don't care to spend 30 minutes slowly going through the bloodweb like I'm playing the most boring game of Jenga. I want to play the game and have some extra adds ons and more to burn for my team. Heck, we barely get bloody party streamers, but you would think something that gives BP would be prioritized over useless items, but I think BHVR is stingy when it comes to BP, period.

Map offerings that don't work should cost 0 or they should work. I don't think that takes a genius or extra coding to resolve. However, I do think all the promises and failed promises of this game are due to ignoring core systems they themselves have diminished into oblivion. What's the point of a p100 if you get squat? But I'll just file this for now right under they'll one day fix anti-camp and anti-tunneling… when… probably in 10 more years.

The ez button comes with a cost.

If you show a bunch of back to back lvl 50 webs with garbage I'll be more inclined to agree.

Players are giving too much meaning to P100. It's not meant to be a goal just a limit.

"Players are giving too much meaning to P100. It's not meant to be a goal just a limit."

While perhaps correct, I think it's also naive. "Limit" and "Goal" are effectively interchangeable terms in competitive/gaming spaces, and as soon as BHVR offered any kind of reward/special symbology for reaching P100, it pretty much locked that in.

LOL sure, I don't even know what your second sentence even means.

"If you show a bunch of back to back lvl 50 webs with garbage I'll be more inclined to agree."

Shove? I don't get it either way, sorry.

Its certainly most noticeably a nerf to that character during events. Where each cake or dousing rod etc costs an entire level 50 bloodweb as apose to the event stuff showing up even in the smallest/cheapest levels. Making it less incentivised to play p100s during events as their offerings cost a "bloody fortune".

Being stuck at level 50 is a nerf, unless you are trying to get the red items/offerings which are almost always there, so you could technically be able to use a red addon/offering and never run out, at the cost of more bloodpoints.

I really felt this during this year's anniversary event. Once they changed the cake spawns to guarantee 1 on every bloodweb, I could spend 1 to 1.1 million bloodpoints on survivors I haven't levelled to P100 and get 50 cakes for my trouble, whereas for survivors I have levelled to P100, I had to spent about double the amount of bloodpoints to achieve the same result. To be frank, I kind of sucked.

You're using the feature wrong. The auto complete is designed to level up and prestige characters quickly by buying up the cheapest things first. So you won't get many decent items because it will actively avoid purple items.

Once you have a prestige 100 character you should be doing blood webs manually to get the best items by prioritising what you want. Using the auto complete function on a p100 character AND expecting decent drops is daft.

that's why I was against adding any reward to reaching P100. Those of us will become to feel obligated to reach it.

    Shove?

I'm saying lvl 50 webs are going to be more expensive than 1-49. Since P100s have infinite lvl 50 webs, using the auto select feature, which btw is for those that don't care about what they get, is going to net you a bunch of junk. If you want decent items then you have to manually go for them.

If you show a bunch of lvl 50 webs with no good items in it then you would have the right to be upset.

And what you continue to miss throughout this thread is that it doesn't have to. Nor should it, and you can ask for better instead of being satisfied with the same stale offerings. However, you don't need to ask for more, others will simply do it for you, but please, continue riding high!

Thank you for applying facts and logic, also experience to this thread. It's very obvious that you understand the ridiculousness of the points we pay for the crap we get, regardless of if we auto select or cherry pick. It's pretty darn ridiculous how much we pay for how little we receive.

I thank you so much for chiming in, because many people are missing the obvious point of how much p100s pay and get absolutely shafted with items. It's obvious that some people are fine because they like to play for 12 hours a day, but for people who just like to casual grind I feel this is felt and made extremely obvious that we're constantly paying more and getting less as an end result.

Not to mention I only have 1 p100 and they only got that way because I like to play that character, simple at that. I wasn't even grinding for it, it just happened naturally. I feel they should have far more items than they do, but they don't. If I want to invest 2 million bp into them they get a smattering of items and during events, when they got super stingy with the rewards it felt even worse, when it's an event and we should be rewarded for playing it… otherwise what are we celebrating other than unfixed bugs and unfair advantages/disadvantages.

Thank you for taking the time to make a very real point.

I can see the point you are trying to make. It just isn't a very valid one. You want better offerings from using the auto complete at level 50. But how are they supposed to apply that? What should they make the feature prioritise for level 50 blood webs? The most expensive stuff? That wouldn't work because most iridescent offerings are trash and you'd still lose put on the good items.

I suppose they could add a system where you set priorities based on what specific items you want, but that would be complicated and honestly I can't see them putting in a complicated effort like that for a relatively minor quality of life change that not many people are asking for. Unfortunately you'll just have to do the blood webs manually if you want to get decent gear from them.

I see you're attempting, but you're still missing the point. If it's not a problem for you then it is what it is, as I said, carry on. Good luck with that!

  • ForTheEntity

The reality of level 50 bloodwebs is it is much better to do them manually. You grab the stuff you want and then because it is a big bloodweb you can often make it so the Entity takes huge swathes of the bloodweb, saving you bloodpoints for the next. So it is possible to get the good stuff and not overpay for it.

If you still want the good stuff but are lazy you can manually grab the stuff you want and then click the center node to auto-complete the bloodweb. It'll be more expensive but at least you'll get what you want.

The last option is to auto-spend like you're doing and that way you get expensive garbage.

That's just how the system is and don't expect it to change any time soon.

OKAY, but the bloodweb is still full of gunk, whether you auto it or not.

  • nicoblue
    nicoblue Member Posts: 54

For those of you who think we don't use the bloodweb normally, we do. I know you can't follow along with the conversation, but here's a glaring red example that is against your single-minded view.

    image9.png

Map fragments that don't work are worth 3250 during a Halloween event, why is it sucking up my points and giving me crap in return. Why are these fragments that have no place anymore in the game, still exist on the bloodweb. If it's 2,000,000 for a p100 or 1,140,000 million for a leveling character, you're still spending BP on ABSOLUTE TRASH.

Happy now? Can you please stop talking about using the auto bloodweb like it makes you superior to others and try for a moment to understand the math behind the bad bloodweb? If not, that's fine, that's your prerogative, but this is why I keep tell you that you're missing the point.
