"I face SwFs every game and they have a significant advantage"

You have to understand, the experience of those people who claim that, is simply different. You know, Content Creators who play the game for a living dont experience so hard matches as those Killer Mains. Or the general community.
They play on a special Server full of only strong 4 man SWFs and the data is simply not available for official stats.
22 -
Well from these results they clearly don't have advantage, 1.7% higher escape rate in 4-stack vs solo.
3 -
It's negative confirmation bias and always has been. Those SWF games with actually cracked players do happen but they're rare however that negative experience will overwrite the 20 other unremarkable games the killer had that week in their memory so it seems like it's happening way more than it actually does.

hahahaha "see bhvr said solo q is better then swf" ahhh "argument xD this here nobody cares what bhvr is talking about bc its just fake, they dont count DCs (only in solo q often to see, also if a killer DCs then against swf), hatch escapes are skill less trash but they count it (bc its fit in there created own bubble where ppl like you are also in) abandon shows even in the fake "stats" of bhvr site as "escape" (nice definition of escaped). anyways look: i will say BIG SORRY when bhvr is showing wins and loses, meaning 5 gens on 3+ survivor escapes, 3+ kills for killer stats (here you can not fake it as much they did it here) but they wouldnt if they would then only the fake version (changing numbers, thats why you see only 3,5 months stats "oh stats seems nice today lets do that" blah blah) i would rather belive a person who saw his dog in a dream telling him stats then bhvr… so true Nurse, Blight, Spirit are also the worse killers in DBD, Onryo, Freddy opop i see i see or now we do the hypocritical double standard bs?

Coupled with an identification bias. If they lose to four survivors that work well together, then that's obviously proof that 4-man swiffers are overpowered.
They don't notice the 4-man swiffers they absolutely steamroll because they'll assume those are solos.
12 -
The chart confirms that all the "solo queue is a nightmare" players are delusional.
-8 -
These are not that different from the last time we saw 'em, eh?

Interesting stats, not sure if I believe them as they're so close in each escape rate that the differences probably aren't even statistically significant and that's rather suspicious. It's looks like fake stats to say "see there's no difference between SoloQ and SWF" when we know SWFs can use comms and that is an advantage not even the best SoloQs with game sense can match.
I'm not saying all SWFs use comms, the ones I play in never do, but there are a lot of serious SWF gamers that use comms tactically that they should show a statistically significant difference above SoloQs.
Ask anyone who's been playing DbD for a year or more: do they trust BHVR?
-12 -
I mean SWF does have an advantage obviously but if you just call any statistics you don't agree with fake then your opinions stop having any basis in reality.
Like using that logic what's stopping me from claiming killrates are secretly way higher than BHVR wants to admit, so they're actually faking lower kill rates to hide it?

because SWF is never an insta win button, do not know why people think this.
When I first started playing DBD, I was playing it with a full 4 man group, we were all new to the game and often times clueless about a lot of things.
We won some matches, we lost some matches. We were on comms, but that did not instantly made us coordinated or efficient, of course, it beats being clueless/bad at the game with no comms, but its not a drastic upgrade at that point.
Similarly, even if you see a lot of SWFs, most of the time they are just casual players grouping up on Discord, they will not always play super sweaty or optimally.
Id argue that a casual swf is still weaker than a competent/competitive solo q team.
3 -
Also not every 2, 3 or 4 player team are communicating. A lot of the friends I play with are on cross-play so we can't communicate at all, not even in pre- or post-game chat.
0 -
Yep.
As if there was any doubt that the 'I face 4 man SWFs every game' idea was ever anything else than what it has always been: a lie.
4 -
Every system has Discord available on it.
So this is either dishonest, or complete obliviousness on the tools available to everyone.
-4 -
We're not being provided with the data set ourselves to analyze, we're just told numbers and we're supposed to believe them, even if the numbers are unbelievable. And a lot of people just eat up the propaganda.
According to this set of statistics they'd have us believe that 4-man win-streakers don't exist, especially in Japan.
Oh and people completely disregard statistics all the time, Nightlight stats on this very forum for example. It's not like BHVR is perfect at analyzing numbers with a staff of statisticians and they're not skewing their own numbers by, say, not including matches with DCs or something.
-2 -
I'm on Steam, so if I make friends with someone in-game that is on PlayStation for example, we can't communicate. So how would I get their Discord?
0 -
It's the only official information we have - you can choose not to believe it. But making claims that it is fake and incorrect are just useless.
1 -
I didn't say it's fake, (it certainly could be, how would we know?), I said it's suspicious. They don't have to be fake stats to be incorrect, they can be skewed by the way they collect the data and the stats they choose to omit. They've already admitted to omitting stuff from the official stats. They've also never said they have someone who's good at math doing the stats work.
I am willing to concede that Japanese DbD gamers take DbD more seriously than the rest of the world, as a 7% difference can't be ignored.
I'm just saying don't take one screenshot with numbers posted on X as gospel, especially in isolation. I already know dozens of people have saved this image to cite it to prove whatever point they're trying to make on whatever platform they're posting it on, as if it were a scientific, peer-reviewed randomized control study.
-3 -
The only thing this graph shows is…
SoloQ<SWF<Asians
4 -
Discord is available on the PS5, can be installed on the Steam Deck, any PC, and the X-Box.
Your technical knowledge limitations are your own, don't assume others share them.
-3 -
How am I going to find out their Discord username, if I can't communicate with them? How can I even know if they have Discord? As I said, I have plenty of friends in DbD that are on cross-play and I have never spoken to them. Personally I don't mind it that way either.
Perhaps consider your own limitations first before pointing fingers.

If it makes you feel better to disregard or doubt official stats, that's fine. They were posted by the official regional Twitter account.
These stats were collected over an entire year so likely very accurately reflect the escape rates. BHVR has data analysts, who are more versed in statistics and biases than the players.
2 -
According to this set of statistics they'd have us believe that 4-man win-streakers don't exist, especially in Japan.
I think this, more than anything, proves that the biggest issue here is that you just don't understand stats, not that the stats themselves are suspect.
5 -
Again, your lack of understanding basic and easily available communication tools (which you're admitting at this point), is not condusive to the argument that SWFs typically have significantly better coordinaiton due to easily available access to voice coms.
Not having the cognitive ability to take advantage of that pedestrian level of basic tech skills is on you, and not reflective of what 99.9% of on line groups take advantage of through all on line games since Ventrilo and Team Speak. Hell, we did conference calls in the late 90s playing War Craft 2. This stuff has been easy and basic for 30 years.
-2 -
Given that the stats also show Sadako is the number 2 killer and Freddy is number 1, you can probably take away that looking at stats without context is pretty useless and they shouldn't be used to try to prove anything.
5 -
I tend to look at those stats and get frustrated more than anything.
The bulk of the killers on the top end (because BHVR releases % and not core #s) are usually ones that are difficult to play and rare to encounter. Hence their win rate is coupled with limited experience on the survivor side.
IE: I'm significantly better playing against Spring Trap than Twins, mostly because he's a much more common killer and the players that run him typically have a "type" of play that I know how to counter.
-1 -
Not really... hes got a point. If I play a game with a really good soloQ player on a different platform, I have no way of sharing information with that person and am limited to just adding them to my DBD friends list. I can easily hop on discord and find ppl from all platforms to play with ahead of time, but it doesnt work in the opposite direction.
1 -
BHVR has data analysts
Do they though? Can you prove it? Because I really doubt it.
I understand that stats are about repeatability, and this is a single snapshot means it should be met with skepticism not treated like a truth carved in stone. Maybe the stats are accurate for this particular point in time with that dataset and can at the same time can be an outlier overall.
And after looking at a bunch of corporate-funded scientific studies it becomes apparent that data can be "adjusted" to say whatever who is funding the study wants it to say.
-2 -
So you're assuming that the core excuse of the obviously maninpulated stats BHVR releases is due to people being obtuse to communication tools and the gamer equivalent of closeted introverts. Got it.
It's no wonder they're shutting this forum down if this is the general consensus on feedback they're getting from here. Completely disconnected from reality.

It's looks like fake stats to say "see there's no difference between SoloQ and SWF" when we know SWFs can use comms and that is an advantage not even the best SoloQs with game sense can match. It's missing the full picture though of what a SWF is.
If you play soloq, you roughly get matched with people of the same skill level. If you SWF, outside the extremely rare comp team you're playing with friends/randoms you met online. If one or more people is below the skill level of the group, that's a massive disadvantage.
Any advantage gained from comms (which does exist, but is not as extreme as some make it out to be), can easily be negated by playing with a group of differing MMR ranges.
This isn't even getting into that most groups aren't clock call outs, at best they are relaying general info about the killer (now available to soloq) and general location (helpful, but not a huge thing to figure out).
And past all of that, any advantage they have will be washed out if they bump up slightly in MMR over were they might be in soloq.
According to this set of statistics they'd have us believe that 4-man win-streakers don't exist, especially in Japan.@Firellius touched on this already, but with how many games of DbD are played, a win streaking group of survivors (or killer) by itself, or even if there are a dozen of them, isn't going to meaningfully move the numbers.
I am willing to concede that Japanese DbD gamers take DbD more seriously than the rest of the world, as a 7% difference can't be ignored. There's a number of possibilities for that:
Killers aren't as good. Potentially do to more players on console and/or a weaker meta.
Better consistent ping, compared to somewhere like South America, where good ping helps the survivors more than the killer.
Differing meta on playing for individual escapes as survivors instead of team wins.
Survivors trying harder is certainly a possibility, but if so then killers should also generally be more intense, less likely to give hatch, fool around, etc.

I didnt say anything even RHYMING to that... I merely pointed out that PC and console players have no way of sharing their contact info when they meet ingame. I've met plenty of ppl organically ingame after having a positive experience with them. If that person isn't using the same platform as me and doesnt have TTV in their name or something though... we can't talk to each other to swap discord IDs.
3 -
Doesn't matter what the stats say. SWF is an easy thing for players to blame their failures on.
6 -
Yes, you can see this in both LinkedIn profiles and on their job postings.

i have not seen the source for this - but I am curious - what timeframe was this statistic taken from?
IE - is this going over 1 week worth of stats, 1 month, 1 year??
Depending on the sheer timeframe that this may come from- the statistics could vary wildly in any direction

1 year, August 1st 2025 to July 31st 2026.

Yeah, while a really good, coordinated 4-person SWF is the strongest thing in DBD and can often be OP, people extrapolate that onto all 4-person SWFs, or SWFs in general. The reality is that most SWFs are not all that good, and sometimes worse than 3-4 good players who get grouped in solo queue (not that this happens often, but it does happen).
I've had a few times where I was grouped with three really good players in solo and we were accused of/assumed to be a SWF by a salty killer.
Most times they're just grouped casuals, and as you say so bad it never occurs to the killer that they're a SWF.2 -
Now of course it's probably possible to figure out some way to get in contact with such people (like for me I have a Steam account even though I play primarily on PSN, and I could go look a person up and message them), but honestly not everyone takes this game seriously enough to even bother with something like that.
Or to set up a Discord if they don't have one already.
I feel like really sweaty people just assume everyone else is just as sweaty as they are and can't conceive of them not giving maximum effort to gain any competitive advantage all the time. Most people who play this game are just kind of chill.3 -
Ive had someone hop on their playstation after a match JUST to message me… Mind you, said messages were insults, but yeah… some people really go above and beyond, lol.

dont waste your time and energy, bhvr banned alot of ppl who talked about such issues, they did the crime and oh god forbid criticize bhvr, so you have most ppl remaining who just say "yes & amen" everything what they gave is right everything what they disagree is false, its like MAGA (you can try what ever you want, they will be staying in there bubble) absolutly brain washed xD you as example you dont accept anything just bc a person saying that who just has a high position "yes master i accept it" npc mindset. they never think for them self, or "oh wait a minute that makes no sense, this and that… ayo can you tell why this isnt fitting with that?" nop nothing. btw if everyone wants to feel the smarest person in a game, like Albert Einstein, come and play DBD watch how they act xDD
-3 -
I kind of find it hilarious that you question the official stats when I distinctly remember you defending Nightlight as legit. I kind of get the feeling that you just prefer the stats that tell you what you want to hear
