Since MoM I can only play Nurse and Billy
Thanks for introducing MoM Devs. Since the release of it I can't take to play killers like wraith (my favorite), Myers, Freddy, Trapper etc etc but feel forced to stick on Nurse and Billy like I did previous the DS rework.
I used to dodge Ash survivors so I could play wraith etc a bit here and there, but now pretty much everyone has it unlocked on the other characters.
The thing is tho, playing constantly the same 2-4 killers gets really boring, I used to play rotation. And versing MoM without able to counter it gets extremely frustating, especially since the adrenaline meta got so popular that it's nearly standard to verse 3+ survivors rushing injured gens with adrenaline ready.
Thank you Devs, you put DbD in a bad position from killers perspective for me.
Am I crying? No, cuz I can counter MoM with Billy and Nurse (soon not anymore tho), it's more a complain about the need to play the same killers to counter that IMO absolutely stupid braindead perk.

For the most part MoM is just gonna make more people play Hillbilly. I've basically stopped playing hag altogether and switched to Billy myself. Once they patch out Nurse being able to ignore it, you'll probably see exclusively Hillbilly in red ranks.

You know what's worse? If the Devs nerf MoM most people will be pissed because they bought Ash for that perk so... We'll have to wait another 2 years for it to be changed...
My only hope is that Devs have come up with a way to fix genrush and an end-game rework and they release it with the next middle-chapter update... If that's not the case I'll just uninstall the game. I have given them enough time and Im not willing to wait any longer.

Lol, before MoM gets nerfed survivors will cry so much about Billy that he gets nerfed first. If that happens DbD is officially dead for me. I mean, it's already nearly dead for me, can only play 2 killers without getting "MoM-rolled" and playing solo survivor isn't that much fun after a while

Devs cant touch Billy/Nurse right now.
I would accept a nerf whenever genrush is gone but if they even think about nerfing those 2, well... Say bye bye to DbD.
Devs should know that if there's no killer there's no game, and we are leaving...

It's the fact that most killers can't avoid it. There's no major killer perks that survivors can't counter in some way or another. And 4 people can run it without consequence.

Yeah sure I could still play Wraith. But I don't want to get "MoM-rolled" t-bagged and bullied cuz they know they have an old DS like perk in the pocket ready to use after a time without me able to counter it. Insta heals are quite common aswell these days, I see at least 1 insta heal every 2 matches or so. That's more than I use and verse moris

@cricketscorner the difference between MoM and BBQ is that BBQ has multiple fool-proof counters. With M1 killers MoM has zero counters.

When you're already at risk of being genrushed, having to hit people an extra time starts to add a lot of pressure to the killer

@cricketscorner That's not a counter, a counter is a way to play around something (ex. Hiding from BBQ in a locker). The stacks are rewarded through normal gameplay. BT doesn't require a perk or certain killer to counter, MoM does. Even still, being able to deal with it =/= being able to counter it.

@HavelmomDaS1 I kinda left on a dbd break prior to MoM hitting (bc simply put I wasn't enjoying the game and felt like I needed some time) and have seen a lot of arguments about it, just wanted to ask what is the match generally like for a myers player. I typically main him and don't really see the incentive to return if it's as horrible as most say, I do play wraith,pig,hag,legion and freddy as well but seems they're just as likely to suffer from this? Seems pretty broken if only 2 killers can counter it reliably...Is LF part of that lineup if you can chainsaw effectively?

That's not a counter, infact that's the entire purpose of the perk in the first place - to get another hit. That's exactly like saying "just get hit with DS to counter it" (pre-nerf).
Like old DS it requires no actual skill to use and punishes the killer for doing their job all while rewarding the survivor for losing the chase and just like old DS it puts a solid amount of distance between you and the killer due to the weapon wipe + speed boost with the only difference being that you can't even run enduring to help the situation.
MoM is an awful perk because it punishes the weaker killers that already struggle (for example trapper, clown, pig, leatherface and doctor) all while the two best killers (Hillbilly & Nurse) totally negate the perk, though Nurse is due to a bug. If you only want to see frenzy spamming legions and hillbillies then this perk is exactly how you end up with just that which the last time I checked, people want more variety in their games.

You know what actually bothers me about MoM? Apart from it making M1-Killers even less desirable to play?
That players never had the opportunity to give feedback about it before it released.
I mean, shortly before the Ash release, we had the PTB with the new killer and her perks, and man, people were screaming bloody murder about what seemed and proved to be a mid to higher mid tier killer. There's been discussing and suggesting for weeks before she was released, and that was good.
And then, shortly after the new chapter was released - POOF - Ash and MoM came out of nowhere. When I saw the leaked pics, I thought this must've been a fake or joke because I couldn't believe the devs would implement a character with such a strong perk without giving anyone the chance to give some feedback about it.
But they did.
And now we (both us players and them) have to deal with this mess.

@BigBubs I'm gonna be honest with you, I will probably pick up on Legion with Frank's mixtape after the MoM "fix" cuz I can see day after day more survivors using MoM.
@Kiskashi I think you know as good as me that playing myers requires to use ew2 attacks here and there and trying to get EW3 all time will hurt you cuz it takes to long to put pressure. So you could avoid MoM as myers but you will get genrushed.
Yesterday I played myers and they used farm map offering. I had 2x MoM triggered at the end, adrenaline activated and I lost the game. I couldn't even try to use EW3 cuz the survivors I was chasing had no juice anymore to stalk. It's really stressful of you verse MoM groups. But give it a try, my region is known as the most sweaty tryhard region, maybe your region won't be that extreme like mine. Good luck mate, hope you will have fun :)

Those who tested the perk (including me) made threads saying why MoM was exactly a new DS and we asked for a nerf/rework of the perk and we told the devs to take their time to think about something else but... As usual killer's feedback doesnt really matter. All they care about is survivors and what you said about Plague proves it, they complained about a mid tier killer at best and they nerfed her... I've faced like 3-4 plagues since she came out...

I haven't even really played Plague since the release, just leveled her up to 40 for her perks lol (cuz of her nerf)

Michael is a counter to Mettle Of Man, Mettle of Man only activates when injured, michael's tier 3 is a one down

It's totally a counter if you know they're running it and save EW3 for that particular hit (sacrificing the power's utility on the assumption the person is running MoM).
This, of course, all hinges on them being in the healthy state, which people will obviously avoid with full MoM stacks vs Myers.

Remember the day that ppl said that friday the 13th was going to kill dead by daylight? That was funny, and the most funny part its that MoM its not too op even streammers said that hes an ok perk theres alot of course just like BBQ also devs mention that MoM as got a bug it should work against the nurse i hope they fix it but the thing is that theres alot of counter on this perk like Noed, billy, myerd with addons like insta kill, infinite tier 3, mori, the plague, rancor etc.

I tried, I truly did.
But getting bullied over and over again while playing solid is no fun.
So I mainly play survivor or good killers like hillbilly.
I wanna get rewarded, yet I don't get rewarded.

As if nurse would have a problem with MoM - lol. the just hit them again after two blinks and thats it. Since the perk came out i dont see any issues with MoM at all. Most killers dont care for that additional hit. Altough the perk isnt that much played how killer want to tell us.

That's because most likely, they don't play killer at all. Not against good survivors, at least.

They've said nurse's blink hits not counting is a bug, All of her hits will count towards MoM.
The perk is an mess and just shows how Clueless or just how much the Devs don't care for Balance.

So what? It wont bother a nurse if they have to hit you once again. Nurse just dont cares like most other player who play killer dont care. thats a fact. The perk isnt a mess. just stop complaining about everything that comes out at survivor side. every patch killer say how OP the new perks are and finally only a handful players use them, cause they were not even good. besides that killer mostly get perks that get used by them cause theyre worse it. and nobody complains about that as a survivor.

How many more MoM is OP threads will there be? There are 3 or 4 new threads every day. I'm a survivor main and I stopped running it because I hardly got using it.
Also the number of Billy's that are in this game haven't increased because of MoM. At high ranks Billy is always there, regardless of MoM or not. MoM could get nerfed and people will still complain that they are forced to play Billy and Nurse.

I dont know if your PC or console but on console its Billy at high ranks. Half of the games are Billy and if you ask any survivor mains on console they will say the same. Not everyone is Billy but at least half are.
I don't care if MoM is changed because I dont even run it but some people are complaining about it even if they haven't been truly affected by it. Hating on MoM is now the popular thing on the forums.

I havnt seen this perk used to much on other survivors or when i played killer, Its overated only time i seen it actually used was about first two days of actual release, might just be a PS4 thing

I don't see that many people running it tbh, and I'm in the purple ranks right now. I've seen people use it and it's not always as clutch as people make it seem to be. I only seen it being useful a couple of time while someone was trying to escape through the gate.
I've used it and tbh I don't think it's as great as people make it seem to be, especially if you get tunneled after your first hook, you get 3 hits but for what? You're dead on hook next time lol. It's only useful towards the end of the game if your team makes it that far or maybe extending the chase depending on where you were found.
Having a couple of bad experiences with M.O.M doesn't mean that every match is like that, it's not the worst case scenario EVERY match.

If you don't think MoM Is OP I question your understanding of the game. It's a passive instaheal that triggers automatically with a sprint burst when you should be going down that you can bring in to every trial. It rewards failure and punishes the killer for doing their objective. Plus it can be stacked with other second chance perks making it even stronger.
It's horribly designed and its effect is only minimized by the strongest killers and detrimental to the weaker ones.

Yes I do if you still came to the conclusion that the perk is balanced. It just isn't. How do you think it's balanced, in what way?
Would you be okay with a Killer equivalent of the perk, after hitting a survivor 3 times the next hit on that survivor in the healthy state becomes an insta-down. I doubt that.
Just because it's in the game doesn't mean it's not an issue. DS was an issue, Iridescent heads and omega nurse are issues too.

What exactly did survivor mains accept? That they still rule the game even after removing vacuum pallets and the broken DS? Yeah, no big deal to accept that when you have 99 other tools to dominate the match against majority of killers.
