We need more scary interior maps. Change my mind.

Lerrie’s I think we can agree is the scariest map in DBD, it has this atmosphere that really makes matches scarier. And it was even more terrifying back in the day when it was much DARKER.

A few of these are outside but would be more interesting than just the forests we’ve all come to know and love.

I love the outside maps we have, especially the new one, but I think we need really creepy stuff like:

  • Abandoned theme park
  • Run down skyscraper
  • Large shopping mall
  • Mansion with resident evil style hallways and a general clostrophobic nature (must have)
  • Maze
  • Boarding school
  • Trailer park (hillbilly mains rejoice)
  • Dark Mine tunnels
  • Subway Station
  • Elementary School
  • Cruise Ship
  • Aquarium
  • Caverns
  • Museum
  • Renaissance Era Town (with some interiors)
  • Dust 2 from Counter Strike (this one’s a joke for people that actually made it this far. Your attention span is impressive. Confuse the TL;DR enthusiasts by giving your opinion on CoolWhip in the comments below.)

Tbh I wish the game was more scarier in general, the only times a get scared it when I get caught off guard by a hag decoy.

I would also like to see more indoor maps as they are scarier and funnier.

I'd also like a mansion with long claustrophobic hallways, but knowing the devs there would probably be some extremely safe pallets in the middle of hallways XD, also Hillbilly mains would be sad with that kind of map, their chainsaw would not really be for map pressure anymore. I do agree on that we need more indoor maps though, I really wanted the temple of purgation to be all indoors but instead we got a cool temple with everything else just being red forest

Léry's and The Game are my least favourite maps as a survivor. I'd prefer to not see any more indoor maps. :/

I would love to see the hotel from the shining. Mostly just a fan girl desire though, long corridors, tight corners and the occasional connected room. Likewise with the maze, though that might not be as much fun for killers like billy or leathrface.

A doll / Mannequin factory, purely because those things are damn freaky, but i suppose that's a bit subjective.

An actual haunted house. Subtle environmental sounds, objects randomly moving to make chases more risky. Nothing worse than tripping over a suddenly moving table when a chainsaw maniac is behind you, or getting smacked in the head because you ran into the path of a flying encyclopedia while almost downing that survivor.

As for cool whip, I'm going to assume that's relatively the same as whipped cream over here in the UK, also now i have the Stewie / Brian cool whip sketch running around in my head.

To be honest, Temple of Purgation as an indoor map would have been a good excuse to give Lery's a secondary map. Like, same deal as with Red Forest, but it would have been an underground section of the hospital. :P

I always thought a graveyard could also be nice. Or the Paris Catacombs, seems absolutely brilliant for dead by daylight.

I generally think interactive map mechanics would be nice for the atmosphere. We only have pallets, vaults and lockers.

Why no doors? Why no actual windows? Why no objects that move and make noices when you run into them? Dynamic garbage bins, oil barrels, ...? Shattered glas or broken wood planks on the ground that make noices when you sprint through them? Rats and bats to jumpscare survivors (besides the rather static and boring crows).

Weather effects like clouds to temporarily darken the map, thunderbolts to lighten it up. Rain that would lower the vision for everyone but make steps louder?

And reskin haddonfield like de_simpson for next years april fools.

Oswell E. Spencer would like a word with you!

Sounds like an awesome map though!

I'd like to see an abandoned airport or school

Prison administrative wing (similiar to lery) or Prison cell blocks (similiar to the game) might be feasible.

An indoor temple map could work.

Imagine entity unleashing it's inner weeb and building an asian palace or huge mansion. Remember that it doesnt know ######### about what it's recreating.
