A ton of players are quitting now.
Almost all of my friends on DBD are quitting have quitted or are planning to quit real soon... Plus there are also a ton of people on the forums that have also said that they are quitting the game. And honestly I am almost on the last straw with this game myself. If the game keeps going in the direction it seems to be then a lot more players on bound to end up quitting soon too...

As @Peanits has said in a past comment that I can't currently find, it may just be currently due to the lack of events. Usually, the player count is sky-rocketing whenever the game has free-to-play weekends and events like the Winter Solstice, but with not too many content being added currently and the dev team hard at work with dedicated servers and the switch port for the game, they can't really give us too much right now to keep everyone pleased. We can only wait and hope for more content to come in due time when the devs are ready to give it to us.

With the new EndGame Collapse, i think that might bring some more people in. I hope.

They made too many bad decisions and they continue to make bad decisions before they fix the mess from the previous ones.
If the game wasn't so addicitive it would be dead since months if not years.
It's like a drug; people know it sucks to consume but they still won't stop.

Just check the actual numbers on steamdb to see how bad it really is.
And so far, it isn't.
Even though there's a whole lot wrong this game lately.

If there isn't a lot quitting then that is good but I feel as though a lot of people like me are about to be done with this game if there are horrible future changes and if they don't get their crap together. It seems like the only thing they notice is review bombing and a massive amount of players quitting sadly.

Maybe they should stop bringing out stupid killers like Legion, and instead start doing changes people have been asking for like Freddy rework, and hatch rework. They also continue to 'buff' weaker killers, terribly, ruining the trappers hitboxes, and turning the hag into even more of a camper. The devs don't seme to know what the community want, and half the time even the community don't know, as you still see people call D strike OP. With the combination of devs who don't listen, and a half brain dead community, of course this game is dying

I've taken quite a huge break as well. I maybe long in every few days to do a couple dailies and that's it. I doubt once WoW Classic is released I'll hang around TBH. I'm having a hard time enjoying the game anymore. I experience more frustration than fun lately.

The game is not dying. If we had 5 cents for every time there was a thread claiming it is, we could finance our own Dbd game.

I think the reason is not bugs neither matchmaking or another unsolved issues
The reason is game became too monotonous and needed a revamp with
- new game modes
- new features, items and rewards
but devs won't take that risk til they see business is going downhill for real

We just had a free to play weekend and the player numbers are down non the less.

they have lost 30% of their players. That's the whole last years worth of growth. I also hardly see any of my friends around anymore. I used to like playing SWF up in purple ranks. but the people I know have poofed.
I wish BHVR would get their ######### together.
