Survivor perk idea - similar to BBQ&Chilli

Hello!

The idea

<Insert cool perk name here> (or possible WGLF rework)

You keep track of all totems. For every totem cleansed, gain a 20 % stackable bonus to all Bloodpoint gains up to a maximum of 60/80/100 %.

The number of active totems is shown on your perk icon. (Similar to "Hex: Thrill of the hunt")

This perk doesn't stack with "We're gonna live forever" (max. amount of BP bonus is 100% via perks in a trial)

Explaination - why I think it is a good perk for the game

First of all: it helps solo survivors to keep track of how many totems are remaining. This closes the gap to swf a little bit (who have the advantage to tell teammates over voicecom how many totems they have cleansed).

It is more reliable than "We're gonna live forever" and people wouldn't farm you off-hook. You don't have the chance in every game to get 4 stacks with WGLF (again: especially if you are a solo survivor), you wouldn't get farmed for the stacks.

It would make cleansing totems more desireable, therefore a better second objective and slow down the game.

It will be a strong perk, but BBQ&Chilli is one of the strongest perks in the game as well (even without the BP bonus).

Maybe - as a debuff - increase the time it takes to cleanse a totem for players who run this perk (maybe 10-15 % ?).

So it'll be like playing with a permanently active Escape Cake every game at the cost of giving up a perk slot?

Getting bonus bloodpoints for totems cleansed by other survivors does sound too rewarding. No work -> all the rewards.

@se05239 yes, kinda like WGLF, but kinda useful and more reliable. Or like BBQ&Chilli is an active survivor pudding every game.

@Raptorrotas The problem with only giving the survivor who cleansed a stack: the priority to get the totem becomes higher than doing any other objective, the "totem" competition is compareable to the nectar objective during the hallowed blight event. Survivors rather get the totem/nectar than f.e. unhooking a survivor. But you could compare it to the event gens: even if you didn't do any gens, you got the points for it.

I am aware of how survivors would react if that stacks only counted for totems they cleanses themselves, I witnessed the blight event and wglf's release.

The difference between BBQ and your concept is that the killer has to do stuff for each token himself. He doesnt get those point tokens for actions done by another player.

If everyone equipped that perk most survivors would end up getting 100% bloodpoint bonus, even if they did not cleanse a single totem. It'd become a bp meta.

I like the concept, though the only issue is that Totems aren't a priority. The only time they are is if theres a hex in play. If you cleanse totems just for bonus points while a teammate is hooked or in the middle of a chase, expecting teammates to get gens done, then it's just a repeat of the Hollowed Blight event. :P

@Raptorrotas I understand your point, although there are already perks in the game, which don't need the players action to work, f.e. Adrenaline or NOED. With the increased cleansing time debuff I think it would be a trade: BP for survivors, more time (which means more BP as well) for killers.

I feel like BBQ is already the BP meta for killers, so why not a BP meta for survivors? What would be the downside?

@Chaotic_Riddle I try to make totems a "real" second objective, even if the killer has no hex perks, without devaluating other objectives (like saving teammates).
